Chapter 3: Assault On The Kingdom

hundreds of people dressed in long dark robes, each of them with a weapon of their type. This was 'The Order Of The Black Heart'.

Meanwhile, Percy and Kennedy were chatting and walking through the Garden of Wonders, the kingdom's greatest garden. Kennedy was a royal, she was the youngest of her 3 siblings and was sometimes overlooked.

I grew quite fond of her, who knew I would fall in love with one of my characters, I'm not a creep though! We're the same age in the novel and real life! don't judge me. 

But, I couldn't shake this feeling, this feeling of malice and anger. It was creeping up on the kingdom, I knew I wasn't the only person feeling it.

...

"Ready up the assault squad, and tell the runners to get that barrier up quickly!"

 A man with a large scar that stretched across his face and grey hair stood in front of nearly hundreds of people in coats.

It was clear he was the commander of the black heart, Van Reginald. He grew up in the kingdom, as an orphan who was constantly abused as a kid and eventually kicked from the kingdom. His mother abandoned him and he started to blame the kingdom, he grew hatred toward them. He spent years creating the black heart, the name became infamous throughout the country, they were a large group of murderers and assassins who killed who they believed were wrong or evil.

What am I doing during all of this? I found a cave, remains of humans all over, skeletons on the walls and ground. How did I get here? I was walking, just as always. Trying to find my way in the world, and I came across a stone slab, it was old but had some type of engravings on it. I touched it and it then started to glow brightly, I was confused, hoping I didn't do anything that would kill me.

And then I was transported here, in this cave. 

[Using, <<Dragons Eye's>>]

I used my dragon transformation skill, the eyes of a dragon were really useful, They helped me navigate through the dark with ease. I dodged trap after trap until I made it to this room. 

What I saw surprised me, a young woman chained up, she looked young, about my age. But, she had horns, pointy ears, and small wings on her back. 

'It's clear she's not a human, but what's she doing here?'

I walk over to her, I slice the chains like butter, and she falls onto the ground, still unconscious. I slap her a bit, trying to wake her up.

"Hm...? who?..."

She opened her eyes slowly, and as she saw me she wondered who I was.

"Hey, you. How do I get out of here?"

"I'm still here."

"Hey, do you not hear me talking to you?"

"Thank you, I do thank you for freeing me from those chains human, I've been stuck here for hundreds of years."

"Okay, I just want to get out here."

"Y-You aren't surprised? not even one bit?"

"Not really, I could care less."

"W-Well, the only way to get out of here is this way."

She started to walk, we reached a bottomless pit of darkness. She then jumped.

"Hey!....does she expect me to jump down there?....."

I stood there for a minute or so, "Ah dammit!"

I jump down the pit.

But nothing became something.

I was back, and out of the cave.

It was by pure bad luck that I ended up in that cave.

I started to head down the hill I stood upon.

'W-Wait for me!"

The horned girl ran after me.

"What's your name?" she smiled.

"Ugh, please don't start being annoying and asking questions."

I sigh again, "Thomas." I told her.

"Thomas?...that's a weird human name. My name's Zin Zin."

"My name is weird? do you hear yours?"

'I don't want to travel with this girl, but she won't stop following me. Should I kill her?'

My great sword sliced the chest of a Black Heart member. They had done it now, they were attacking the King Of Blythe. The fire was all around me, homes were destroyed.

"How dare they!"

I dash at multiple Black Heart members.

"He's coming at us! get read-"

His sword flung from his head and I sliced c off his arm

"AGHHHHH!"

"H-He cut off his arm! everyone charge at Percy!"

10 of them lunged at me.

[Using skill, 'Heaven's Domain.']

A bright magic circle appeared around me, it stretched out nearly 20 feet from where I stood, and all of them were now in this domain. 

"MUTILIATE!"

Multiple slashes, hundreds of slashes cut up all of them. I sheathe my sword and keep running until I find him, Van Reginald. He was the great commander and founder of the black heart, today he had to suffer, I was going to kill him.

'heh, who knew the author of his novel would be killing off a character he created? Who cares, I'm just doing...wait, what am I doing?'

[The Protagonist of ****** is acting out, refreshing your brain.]

'Huh?....'

Everything cut off for a second, I couldn't see or hear. But then I could, those thoughts I once had were gone and I felt like I once did.

'What just happened? huh? what am I talking about, let me just finish up what I was doing.'

....

[****** is acting out.]

"What the hell?"

"What's wrong Thomas?"

'What does this mean? and why is that word glitched out? what's up with the system?'

'What does this mean? who's acting out? I'll just forget about it, maybe it's just a malfunction.'

'I see smoke, Is it a fire? No, it's some type of kingdom. It's huge, how didn't I see this before?'

I start to run toward the kingdom, Zin Zin right behind me. As we arrive, I see people with black coats.

'Those coats, I recognize it. That guy had the same attire. What are they doing here? shouldn't they be in the demonic forest? It also sounds like swords clashing and people screaming are they attacking this place?'

"Thomas, I hear people fighting. What should we do?"

"I don't know, observe."

...

I stood in front of Van Reginald. 

"Percy, you've killed a lot of my men."

"I could care less, you are all evil."

'Well, I created them that way I suppose. Then why? Why do I care? What are these feelings I'm feeling? For the longest I've cared but why am I thinking twice?'

[The ****** is acting out.]

'What? I, I remember. This happened just then. But, why is it doing it every time I think like this?'

"You look lost in thought, are you scared, Percy?"

I scoff, "Scared? of you?"

I grip my sword, ready for him.

"Well then, it seems you won't move either way, so I'm gonna have to kill you. Well, i was planning on it anyway!"

Shing!

Tink! Tink! Tink! Tink!

With the sound of our swords clashing, his men watch me and battle.

"Percy!" Kennedy screams out my name. But I'm too busy battling to even turn around.

Up in the castle, a royal looks down at the battle.

"What should we do? The Black Heart won't stop until they get what they want."

A handsome prince smirks, "Let them be, Percy will deal with it."

"They want to kill your family? you're just going to accept that?"

"What about your sisters? Kennedy? Cinthia? Solum? you're their brother! Shouldn't you do something? Young lord!"

He raised his voice, "I said, let Percy deal with it!"

"O-Okay..."
