Lord Gabriel, who did not expect that Ethan would do something different from what he had taught, was shocked. He didn't have time to create a barrier. He was definitely going to die.

"Is this hell?" Lord Gabriel wondered a few minutes after the explosion. His eyes scanned the surroundings, finding only dark red hues. "Indeed, this must be hell," he said. "Heaven couldn't possibly smell bad like this."

"Lord Gabriel! Are you okay?" Ethan asked, still embracing the Lord, wrapping his large arms around his mentor's body. Lord Gabriel's face was currently right under Ethan's armpit. "I'm sorry; I didn't think the explosion would be so big."

At that moment, the teacher realized where the nauseating smell was coming from. "You little brat! Let go of me!"

The teacher pushed his apprentice away, causing Ethan to stumble back. He winced as the red barrier he had formed suddenly weakened and slowly disappeared.
