"It's impossible!" Hearing her husband's statement, Lady Alana was in a state of panic. What would the world say if her husband divorced her for an older woman?

"Don't divorce me, I'll keep trying," Lady Alana pleaded desperately.

The lady's family had been unjustly punished. Her father, a Duke, suddenly faced charges of corruption and betrayal. It was clearly false accusations.

This was done by Prince Leonardo's faction to weaken Prince Aleric's position. They wanted to prevent his elder brother from gaining strong support from the in-laws.

If Prince Aleric divorced Lady Alana, she would become a pitiful woman cast out of society. A traitor's child. Her husband divorcing her for an older woman was even worse.
