She immediately stilled and instinctively tried to run toward the bathroom again when she felt a hand cover her mouth in a tight grip pushing her back.

Lei Xinyi was pushed on a hard man body, she could tell by the physique, a muscular man. Realization had her body immediately turn stiff and fear immediately engulfed her body.

It was obvious it wasn't an innocent encounter, innocent encounters knocks on the door.

She was in nothing but a towel so as a wise woman she knew thrashing wasn't what she wanted to do.

As the second best remedy in her book she sunk her sharp nails in her captor's hand as a distraction and brought her leg behind his knee cap and pulled with a great force waiting for his fall.

But all she got was boisterous laugh with a taunt to it as if the man was amusing over a kid's antics. She was irked and antsy. The man was strong and there was no way she could over throw him.

She was now seriously worried. She was a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu so if she couldn't overpower him it had to say something.

Although it wasn't her forte she was only a mediocre in the field but she could tell the man was a well trained assassin by his approach of grip. Too accustomed! She wasn't permissible to move a muscle.

Lei Xinyi mind was running a hundred kilometer a second. The man wasn't here to close her book. If he was, then he would be done hiding her body in the closet by now.

He wanted her alive…. Thinking that Lei Xinyi, resigned to her fate and gave up on her assault.

As Lei Xinyi stilled she was released but before she could reach her dagger that was under her pillow, the man turned her around and pushed her against the wall in a kabedon position with his knee between her thighs but not touching.

Because of the sudden movements Lei Xinyi held tightly on her towel to prevent any mishap to happen. Looking at her smirking captor Lei Xinyi frightened expression immediately turned enraged.

Looking at her expression, her offender burst out in a taunting laugh, "Your face! What a sight!"

Lei Xinyi felt herself enraging and held her towel that was around her body tighter and hissed in anger disbelief, "Li Yu..Yuan! You…You psychotic creep! Wh..What the f*ck are you doing here?!"

Li Yuan mirth died down as he brought his one hand under Li Xinyi chin and lifted it further up. Without her heels Lei Xinyi could hardly reach him. He said with a smirk, "I see….we are not playing timid anymore."

Lei Xinyi narrowed her eyes and scoffed. She was so done with this pretense of a goody-two-shoes Miss and there was no use of it either because all in all after the office fiasco the man knew her fierce side, acting all innocent and naïve will make it suspicious.

And nobody was really close to that Lu Xinyi anyway and the woman had practically built China Walls around her.

"Were you dropped as a baby or exposed to a high dosage of drugs?! What sane man sneak in like that in the middle of the night?!"

Frowning a little Li Yuan brought his face closer to her and caressed her lower lip with his thumb, shrugging he said, "Why so cranky? I thought you women found it romantic."

Scoffing Lei Xinyi gave him an incredulous look, "Romantic?! Romantic?! Seriously! In what world entering an almost naked woman room in the middle of the night and trying to choke her is romantic."

Grinning like a fool Li Yuan pecked her lips.

Pushing him away Lei Xinyi snarled, "Stop taking liberties with my body."

Even an idiot could tell he let her push him away. She was almost tiny with him around. Even as he was being playful and was in a awfully good mood Lei Xinyi could feel his rough edges.

Just like a viper waiting for your prey in the thick grass. Letting them have an illusion of safety and bliss then sabotaging when they would least expect it.

That was Li Yuan for you. Deceitful and cunning. So being a level headed woman Lei Xinyi wanted as much distance between them as possible.

Arching his fine brow Li Yuan stepped forward holding Lei Xinyi by her bare shoulder in a gentle hold while sliding them down suggestively.

At his act Lei Xinyi eyes widened and she pulled away from him abruptly, "You! You pervert! You are unbelievably shameless!"

Shouting that Lei Xinyi ran to her closet and wore the most modest night gown she could find which wasn't modest at all but short gowns are all she had.

She liked wearing them but the man made her aware of his presence …..

She just couldn't control herself around him and GOD knows she was a minute away from spreading her shaved long legs for him. Even the thought made her shudder.

She knew what he came here for. She was dreading the confrontation.

Letting out a frustrated sigh Lei Xinyi reluctantly came out of the walk-in closet to see Li Yuan sprawled over her bed with his legs still dangling and eyes closed and hands behind his head.

His hair was unkempt and if you look closely you could see the tiredness on his face.

He was still in his business attire, must be here from a late night gala or some illegal, underground dealing. He was laying there on the bed without his suit and tie and with the upper buttons of his shirt undone.

Lei Xinyi saw his tie and suit on the floor. Lei Xinyi had the urge to smack him. For messing her room which she really hate and for throwing that overly-expensive custom made suit and tie on the floor.
