Hayden’s POV
I couldn’t take my eyes off of her.
She looked too ethereal in that moment, descending from that staircase, to be real. Not in any human way, at least, and I found myself at a loss for words as I stared at her. The gold jewelry did her justice, the dress—even more so. I found myself immensely thankful for Amanda’s existence in that moment and didn’t know how else to express the gratitude but to thank every star in the sky for her.
I found myself walking towards Eleonore, slowly, tentative step by tentative step. Her eyes fluttered between my brother and I, and her hand was in mine before I realized what was happening. It was like my body moved on auto-pilot and knew what to do when it came to her immediately.
The shock of having her skin touch mine was what brought me back to reality, and a bright smile overtook my face as I saw the bashful look that overtook hers. God… how could one person hold so much beauty and radiance in them?
