The Strongest Shopkeeper (oneshot)

Jack slowly opened his eyes to see three teenagers dressed in fine clothes sending menacing glares his way.

"HAha. Well, Well if it isn't the Jack the con. You were so full of bluster, now look at you, a low level cleaner with almost no mana."

"Did you enjoy spending that money you conned from us. You bastard!"

"Trash, will always remain trash! Now with this useless class, no guild will accept you!"

Soon the kids went away.

Struggling to his feet there was only one thought in Jack's mind.

'THIS IS WHAT YOU MEANT BY BEGINNER'S LUCK YOU DAMNED POTATO!'

Our Protagonist was inhabiting the body of a boy infamously known to everyone in Lindsay Town as Jack the Con.

'Quite a prestigious name for a kid, I must say.'

He was quite pitiful, orphaned at a young age he had to live on the streets. In order to pay for his education and finally the class change ritual at the age of coming ceremony, he needed a lot of money. Having a weak body due to a sheltered life, he obviously couldn't start robbing or join a gang in the slums. He soon found the quickest way to get rich. Buy cheap and sell dear. More sooner than later he was lauded with the prestigious title of Jack the Con.

He should have been able to turn his life around after the ceremony and join one of the guilds in town, only..

Looking at his status plate he couldn't help but curse at the damned potato again.

This was a fantasy world, and thus mana was everything. The class transfer ritual would update the classes of every child from student to what they were most suited for.

Still the grade of mana they could wield affected everything.

Grade A mana was abundant and explosive. Like a Machine gun

Grade E was Less but easy to control. Like a sniper rifle

Grade F on the other hand, was a slightly big needle. Only useful for household chores.

And thus his paths to greatness were cut off. If he had mana, with his demolition expert class, he could become a fearsome fire mage and the prized hero of the magus guild. But now it seems he could only find a cleaning job somewhere.

Hai! This was even worse than his previous life.

His dad would always stay study properly or you would be like uncle Ben the janitor.

Looks like he still ended up being a janitor.

Wait.... why was he thinking so pessimistically, He could still get a stable job at a shop somewhere due to his conning skills and despite his low mana perhaps....

some basic rune-making or artificing was possible.
