The First Regression

..Crimson dyed the skies, and swarms of monsters ran amok, killing everything in their path.

"What in the world is going on?" Ian Froda... looked around, perplexed and terrified. Then... armies of winged beings with black and white wings descended from the sky and began destroying all traces of civilisation.

His field of vision is filled with blood and corpses of what was once known as humans, as well as the destroyed debris and remains of what was once a beautiful city; in short, it is a "catastrophe," "calamity," or "Complete annihilation."

While watching a familiar yet inexplicable sight, he muttered a few barely audible words that no one could hear due to the screams of terror and the loud bangs of falling buildings.

"Isn't this.... Descent Of Realms!!?"... an arc in his never-published story ... it somehow became a reality in front of him.

Then darkness enveloped his vision...

While panting heavily, Ian slowly woke up from his bed and looked around dazedly. The room looked familiar, but this was definitely not his house.

The room he was used to had a heavy touch of technology, as well as a lot of clothes and junk food all over the floor, but...the current room looked dilapidated, with only a bed, a bench, and a tube light and fan.

With a slight headache causing his steps to shake, he slowly limped towards the bathroom and washed his face with cold tap water, which alleviated his drowsiness.

He looked in the mirror after washing his face.

Jet black hair and eyes.

Fair skin.

Facial features that are above average.

This is the face he used to see when he was in his late teens but...

"Why do I look like how I used to be in my Late teens?" This further perplexed him... He had a strange sensation as if he was disconnected from reality... and he felt a sense of alienation towards his body as if he hadn't moved it in a long time.

While mulling over his current situation, A sharp pain engulfed his whole body jolting him awake from his stupor.

"Argh! ..it Fu*king Hurts!" he held his head with his hand and grunted loudly. He lost his balance due to the extreme pain that was unlike anything he ever felt, and fell to the floor.

"Ahh!.. Gasp. AHH!!" He started rolling on the floor due to the intolerable pain.

The excruciating pain made him wish he could faint right now. The pain that covered his whole body slowly disappeared as if it was never there to being with and he started to regain his reason and senses.

He bathed with a mug and bucket that...he used to do a long time ago and dressed in an old pair of clothes.

After searching his room for a minute, he found his phone.

He tried every password he could think of, but nothing worked. In his rage, he almost threw the phone away but stopped when he saw the date and time on it.

'2018!! 'Isn't it 2024?' He felt as if a cold bucket of water had been poured into his mind, and he had just awoken from a dream... The memories that once happened in the past... have now become his present.

As he tried to remember anything from the six years of the past which was now the future, he recalled the last scene he saw.

He opened his eyes wide, his heart began to race, and perspiration started forming on his forehead.

He then looked around the room where he had stayed after dropping out of school. This is a cheap room that is barely livable due to a lack of funds... This is where he wrote...or was about to write...his first novel.

"...Descent of realms." He muttered slowly, recalling an arc in a book he had once written but never published.

The world setting of that story is simple, Earth...which was also called the central realm. Got invaded by six realms, namely Arcane Realm, Heavenly Realm, Abyssal Realm, Monster Realm, Chaos Zone, and Spirit realm...

The life forms of these realms can't enter the central realm directly. Instead, they bewitched the natives of the central realm, humans, and gave them powers and techniques. In exchange, the natives must swear fealty to these otherworldly beings and help them enter the central realm.

These native humans made multiple factions in the central realm.

The Arcane realm's factions who follow the Path Of Mana or Arcane Magic Power system.

The Heavenly Realm's factions borrows powers from angels or uses the power of faith. The Abyssal Realm's factions Kill people and use them as sacrifices to gain power from the demons of the abyss. the spirit's Faction's way is to gradually become a spirit...

Monster Realm's factions cultivate their lifeblood or body to increase their strength and gain special powers called bloodline traits, most of them are blood-thirsty people and will occasionally torture and kill normal people for joy and amusement.

Chaos zones Factions....are lunatics. There is nothing to say about them other than their broken minds and insane way of thinking. but they follow a path similar to the Arcane realm.

And other than the Arcane and Spirit Factions, All other factions are a direct threat to humans, causing conflicts with the native Faction formed by Mind Practitioners, a native power system that cultivates their mind.

And the novel's protagonist, Aeric Xander ... was given an opportunity that would change his life forever. Being able to enter a mysterious library with all the knowledge required to reach the pinnacle, he gradually learned the secrets of the world and got entangled in conflicts between realms.

While analyzing the novel's events and his own world, which also seemed to have many mysteries incomprehensible to humans that he ignored subconsciously, including the Apocalyptic scene he saw with his own eyes... Ian gradually connected the dots...

"So...The novel I wrote ..Is something that was actually happening in Reality!!?". Ian doesn't know what he should think of it... He then looked at the date and gritted his teeth in frustration and fear...

"Then how the hell did I go back in time?". Ian muttered meekly, Perplexed about this weird situation he was in.

He felt fear after a period of confusion....fear for the unknown. The mystery of how he wrote about something that was actually happening, as well as the mystery of how he went back into the past.

Ian suddenly felt out of touch with reality ... as if he knew nothing about the world he lived in all his life.

Hello! it's my first time writing so don't start spamming about how stupid it was or how confusing it is... Nah not like there would be many reading this anyway.
