PROLOGUE

SOMEONE'S POV

I don't know how? Nor I don't know why? But I can feel something inside me that I am not who I am right now, Sometimes even though I kept telling myself that I know myself better than anyone else, I still felt like something about me is missing, it was like I'm a puzzle that cannot be solved because a piece of me is missing or doesn't fit right, I am always having this blurry and Unrecognizable memory, That keeps me from asking myself the question, Who am I?

I am in the darkroom while finding a way out, I can't see anything and can't hear anything, I was...

alone

"HELLO?!!" I shouted hoping that somebody will answer my call.....But.....

there was no one...

I kept walking while touching the walls as my guide while I can't see anything around me, I feel my face getting wet because of tears streaming down on my face, I hate this feeling, and at the same time, I was...

Scared...

"Hello?!!! Can anyone hear me?!!!" I shouted again but there was still no response, The silence was making me deaf, I wanted to get out but how?

I continued to walk around hoping to see a light switch or something so I can see and have the advantage but as I walk while fumbling the walls I was shocked because I touched something, I carefully hold it while figuring out what it is since I can't see anything, After minutes, I know! It's a key!

my hope lifted and continued to walk while holding a small key, I kept touching the walls while walking as my guide towards a door, I feel like I was getting close to something and after seconds

FINALLY!!!

I touched a doorknob, without any second thoughts, I put the key that I am holding into the keyhole carefully so that I would not drop the key.....

the door opened and I was so excited and ready to get out of the darkroom

As I walk out of the room I smiled because finally, the Light touched my face again

as I step away from the room, I heard a cry...

I followed where the cry was coming from and saw a young girl sitting on a bench of the park, crying, I can't see her face so I can't recognize her...I was about to go to her but as I was about to take a step a little boy came to her and give her some Ice cream my guess was it was to make the little girl stop from crying

"Why are you crying?" the boy asked

I was waiting for a response from the girl but there was none and instead of answering the boy's question she just licked the ice cream that was given to her

"Why are you alone?" the boy asked

But again there was no response

"Where are your parents?" he asked

but like the other two questions, the girl did not answer

I thought that the boy will leave the girl because he is not getting any response from her but I was wrong.....

"Come....let me make you feel better," he said as he holds the little girl's hand, running towards somewhere.....

without being aware of my actions I followed them to see if the little girl will finally smile...The boy did his best for making the girl smile, like playing at the swing happily, showing her flowers and what's best is patting her head and telling her that everything was going to be fine

the girl finally smiled but as the sun will soon set the two kids that I am following were now looking at each other looking so sad

"Are you going to leave now?" the girl asked, the boy nodded as a response to the girl's question

"How? and when will I meet you again?"

"I am so sorry but I don't think we can meet each other again, "

the girl cried again because of what the boy said, the boy wiped her tears using his thumb and then smiled trying to comfort her

"don't worry I will make sure to meet you again in the future," the boy said

"But how? I am sure that in the future our faces will be different and besides, I am not sure if I will be in the future too,"

"I will find you, I promise, Remember this a broken promise can never be glued back together, So I will never break my promise to you, I will search and find you"

"how?"

"CG WE ARE LEAVING!" I looked at where the voice came from and it was coming from the car that's waiting for the boy,

The boy put off something on his arms and then put it on the little girl's arms

"don't lose this because This will be the sign that you are the little crybaby that I have found and that I have been with on this memorable day," the little boy said,

The little girl looked at her arm and smiled

"I will never lose it,"

"Goodbye and see you again... Callie," the boy said while walking away

I didn't know why but tears fell out of my eyes, I am still looking at the girl while she was still looking at her arm, She was smiling but at the same time crying, She was alone again and she left...

Wiping off the tears on my face I followed the little girl and as I was following her my tears kept streaming down on my face so I kept wiping it off... I can't stop my tears from falling, Why can't I hold it back?

The girl goes further and further and my distance was now so far away from hers and it feels like my feet were so much heavier while I am walking...

"Hey!!!" I shouted at the girl as she is now so far away, but she didn't stop and just continued walking

"LITTLE GIRL!!!" I shouted again but there was still no response from her

I got tired of wiping off of my tears on my face and my feet gets weaker and weaker because I wanted to reach her, I don't know why I wanted to chase the girl but still, I know that I wanted to hold her hand, I wanted to hug her tight, and I wanted to make sure she's okay

as I was following her, I was so shocked because I just realized that the way she was taking was from the room that I just came from and that is from the darkroom

"Hey!! Little girl!!!" I called and this time she turned around and now I can finally see her face and she was smiling at me while crying, she whispered something but I can't hear her and I can't understand her, She looked so sad,

"WHAT!!?" I asked her but she turned away again and continued walking... She was almost there to the door of the darkroom and I don't want her to reach the inside because I know how dark and gloomy the inside of the room was and I know that she will be alone from the inside.....

"LITTLE GIRL!!!! COME BACK HERE!!!! IF YOU GO IN THERE YOU WILL BE ALONE!!!!" I shouted hoping she will not continue but she didn't even stop and opened the door

She went inside the room but the door is not closed so I followed her but my feet were still heavy, I feel like there was something so heavy, tied into my feet that's making my feet weak,

"WAIT FOR ME!!!" I shouted but as I was about to get near the door I heard her voice saying.....

"You-You don't belong here-here, yes-yes, I am alone-alone but I did it for you-you," I heard her voice echoed, What does she mean?

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!!!"

"You-You are safe-safe now, " She said, I am almost there but...

"Calesie?!! Calesie!!!"

*BREATHING HEAVILY*

"Mom?!!" I called out to my mom as she was looking at me with her worried eyes

"Are you okay honey?" my Mom asked

"I am fine Mom *catching breathe* I was... Having a nightmare,"

"What a nightmare? the one where you can't reach the little girl as the little girl goes into the darkroom?" My mom asked

"Yes... don't know why I am having that kind of dream and I don't know why even though I saw her face saw her smile and even heard her voice, When I woke up every single day, I can't remember anything about my dream, I don't even know why I am scared of it,"

"Calesie honey that's just a dream,"

"A dream that seems real for me mom,"

"Calesie dreaming is normal from a person because it's only natural for us don't let it go through much on your head and just think about how special this day is," I looked at mom because what she said made me curious,

"Wait, what's so special about today?" I asked

My mom smiled at me and gave me a piece of a white envelope, I looked at my mom with a confused look while my mom was continuously smiling at me

"Open it," My mom suggested, so I opened the envelope

there was a piece of paper inside the envelope and it was folded so I unfolded it.....

"Read it aloud," My mom ordered

"Dear Calesie Rae,

Your Application reached our department and we are so glad to tell you that the scholarship that you have been applying for has been approved by the president of the school, You are one of the 3 students that we have seen some special potentials when it comes to the Music Industry and we are expecting you to come to the university tomorrow so that you can fill up some form and finally become one of the MS UNIVERSITY'S Student,

From: MS UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT

To: CALESIE RAE "

after reading the letter, I froze for a second while trying to process all of the words in the letter to my head, I looked at my mom looking so surprised and at the same time I wanted to cry because I was so happy

"Mom is this real?" I asked my mom while she was also looking at me with her eyes getting teared up

"Mom? I am finally going to University that I have been dreaming of since childhood," I said looking so excited

"Yes Calesie your dream is finally coming true," My mom said looking so sad and so I hugged her tight, I know that she is happy but I also know that she's sad because I am leaving her.....

"Mom please don't be sad,"

"That's not possible honey, But remember that you have to achieve your dream hon, You don't have to worry about me, I am fine here, "

"But mom I don't want to leave you alone here, I don't want you to have the same fate as the girl that I have been dreaming of, I don't want to leave you in the darkroom Mom," I said while hugging her so tight

"Calesie honey you are not going to leave me here and besides who told you that our house is dark? Yes, our Electricity Bill might be so expensive because of us always using the lights here, But that doesn't mean that the electricity will disappear" My mom said jokingly

"Mom" I called while slightly laughed at her joke

"honey it's your dream and I don't want to become the reason why you did not accomplish it and become miserable because of it so I am letting you go and I want you to be happy even though I am not by your side and promise me that you will become a great composer and a singer," My mom said while tapping my back

"I will mom And I promise, I love you," I said nearly going to cry again

"I love you too Calesie, "

"Drama is enough, Breakfast is ready, Get up now and eat downstairs I cooked your favorite food because this day is special," Mom said while wiping my tears off of my face, My mom's cooking is delicious since She delivers home-cooked foods to people around this village, That's how she makes a living,

"Okay mom be right there I am just going to brush my teeth and wash my face my breath smells horrible HAHA,"

"okay make sure to make it quick because the food will get cold okay?" Mom demanded

"yes Mom"

My mom left my room and closed the door, I went to my Comfort room, open the faucet, get my toothbrush put a little of toothpaste in it, and then brush it on my teeth, I looked at the mirror and stared at my pink hair while brushing my teeth, Am I also going to be different there because I have this unique color of my hair?

just like how I was different here...

"CALESIE!!!!THE FOOD IS GETTING COLD!!!" mom called from downstairs so I quickly finished washing up my face

"COMING!!!" I said

I immediately run from upstairs to downstairs, But I was about to go to the kitchen I saw an annoying person...

"Yo, Calesie," He said sitting nicely at the chairs holding a fork on his left arm and spoon on his right...

"What are you doing here Aldrin," I asked while looking seriously at him

"He is here to tell you something Calesie "Mom said smiling at me suspiciously

"What is it?"I asked

Aldrin stands up and comes close to me while wearing he's suspicious smile

"What? You are looking suspicious Al"

"Don't be so shock okay?" He said

"Okay, I won't, What is it?"

I looked at his hands because he was picking up something inside her pants, he took it out and I saw a white envelope and I was so surprised when suddenly I realized that it was the same as my envelope...

"Wait, No Way!! don't tell me you are also accepted, Al!!" I said while being so happy about the news because Aldrin is also the same as me, He also wants to achieve his dream of becoming an Idol here in Korea

"Yes! I am accepted after all these years of applying for the scholarship I am finally accepted and they are also asking me to come to the university tomorrow so we will come there together so I can protect you along the way I promised Aunt Jessie to protect you from bad guys " he said

"Pfftt, but Al can't you see, you are the bad guy why protect me from you when I can protect myself I am all grown now Al I am not the little Calesie anymore," I said while crossing my arms at him

"Calesie yes you are a grown-up now but you are still a girl so You and aldrin have to go together to the university understood?" My Mom ordered,

"But mom" I complained

"No buts Calesie You and Aldrin are going together tomorrow and I don't see the problem about that, Topic finished now let's eat, " Mom said

I looked at Aldrin and he is making fun of me... Ughhhh I can finally get out of this lonely and boring town but I can't escape from my best friend's childishness but even though that's the case I am still happy for Aldrin

"Hey by the way Calesie I have been meaning to ask you about this since I first know you," Aldrin said

"hmmm? What is it?" I asked him while eating and while having food stuffed inside my mouth

"Where did you get your bracelet? It's just so old now you know I can buy you a new one as a congratulatory gift because you also passed the scholarship" He said while looking at my bracelet

"You don't have to, I don't know where I get this but every day I felt like this is my Lucky Charm so I didn't want to lose it and Mom said that I am wearing this bracelet ever since she found me crying and just a baby in front of her doorstep," I said while smiling at Mom,

Yes, I am just Mom's Orphan but even though that's the case she loves and cares about me as if I am her real daughter and I am the same with her because if she's not a good person I would probably be dead right now because no one wants me except Mom, Even my real parents didn't want me but I don't hold a grudge over them because I know that they have a reason for abandoning me,

I didn't search for them, not only because I don't know where to start but also Because they didn't search for me even though I didn't leave the village, They left me here and I am still here so there's no reason for them to not find me right?

"Calesie Are your things ready for tomorrow?" Aldrin asked looking at me, I know that look, He was worried, I know he wanted me to not think about my real parents that's why he's making a topic for it to slip through my mind...

"No, not yet, I just found out earlier give me a break Al, How about you? Are you packed for tomorrow?" I asked

"Of course, I packed my things as soon as I found out that I can finally leave this village, "He answered and then continued eating...

We finished our breakfast and Aldrin left the House because he has to go to his work and he can finally resign at that place, The boss there are so mean to him because he didn't finish his studies so they are making fun of him,

"Mom I am just going to buy some vegetables and fruits for you so that you don't have to go to the groceries tomorrow," I said while I am now at the door holding a basket

"Okay!! don't be out too late okay?" Mom said

I left the house and walk around our little village while I have my earphones on my left ear and listening to music, You probably wonder why I want to be a composer well that is because I love music and I love singing and the other reason was

HE IS MY IDOL.

"Hi, Calesie grocery again today? " The grandma just near our house asked me as I passed by on there house while she was gardening

"Yes Granny I have to because I am leaving the town tomorrow" I answered

"What? why Calesie?" Granny asked

"Well I am going to my dream university tomorrow granny so I am going to leave the town" I answered

"I am going to miss you Calesie, But good luck on pursuing your dream child, I am just going to miss you passing by here and helping me water my plants," Granny said

"Aww..... I am going to miss you too granny, anyways gran I have to go to the grocery store now, see you again granny," I said while waving my hand to granny, Granny was old but she is beautiful, She loves gardening because her husband loves plants, They love each other and nothing can separate them except her husband's death, But even though that's the case granny still keeps her smile on her face and she keeps telling me that her husband loves her even though he's in heaven, I envy her...

I continued walking the while humming trying to synchronize to the song that I am listening to, and as I walk I finally reached the grocery store

I went inside and then went straight to where the fruits and vegetables are while still listening to music, I am entertained whenever I do something while listening to music

after minutes of searching for some things that I need I finally completed it all so I went to the counter to pay, The line was so long but I am patient so I waited while I have my earphones on of my ear

*MINUTES LATER*

It is finally the turn of the guy in front of me so I removed the earphones that are still on my ear and then get my wallet inside my pocket so that I can ready to pay,

"I am sorry but I think I left my wallet inside my car outside," said the guy that's in front of me

"Sorry sir you can't have all of this while you are still unpaid," the Cashier said

"I am just going to get my wallet in the car and then pay you," He said,

"Yes sir you can get your wallet but you can't bring all of this groceries with you because I am going to be in big trouble and if you are going to get your wallet sir you have to wait again sir for your turn because there is a lot of people inline waiting for there turn, I am sorry sir,"

"But I am busy and I am going to be late it's just three products Miss, My car is just over there, " Complained the guy

"I am sorry sir"

"How about this I pay for his stuff so that there are no more problems" I suggested, Looks like the guy was really in a hurry but the cashier didn't want to lose her job that's why she can't just let this guy off with the unpaid products

"What?" he shockingly asked, It looks like he is the same age as me because he looks young

"I can pay for you it looks like it's just a few products so I think it's cheap so I can handle it, You can go to your business or whatever it is and we can all pay for our stuff" I offered...

"How much is it miss?" I asked the cashier lady

"it's 3000 Won Miss"

"here....." I offered while handing over the payment

"Thanks, Miss," Said the guy smiling at me so I just smiled back at him and then he immediately took off with the stuff that he wanted to buy and finally it's my turn, I guess he's really in a hurry,

The cashier finished scanning the things that I have now bought and then I get out of the grocery store while putting on my earphones again... I was about to turn on the music while walking outside of the parking area of the grocery when someone tapped me on shoulders from behind...

"Hey," He said

I removed my earphone because it looks like he wanted to tell me something,

"Hey?," I said awkwardly since I don't know if I should talk to him casually,

"I just wanted to thank you and here, this is the money that you have paid for me back at the cashier, It's 3000 won, " He said while handing me the money

"Thank you and you're welcome,"

"Thank you again, If it weren't for your kindness I'd probably be in trouble right now because of me being late, and speaking of me being late I have to go now I just waited for you so that I can repay your kindness,"

"You're welcome," I said and then he finally took off, before he gets in his car he waves at me as a sign that he is leaving now and I waved back at him smiling and then watched him finally took off with his car

"What's with that smile Calesie?" I was shocked and he nearly gave me a heart attack because he suddenly appeared before me

"What? ALDRIN!!! Don't do that!" I shouted at him because I was so surprised

"Sorry, Anyway Calesie why did that guy gave you money huh? I saw you" He asked

"It's A long story, Are you done with your work? Why are you here?" I asked

"Yes I am done and I have finally resigned, And I am here because I just passed by at your house after I was done but then your mom said you are not there and you are here at the grocery so I came here, I answered all your question why not answer mine Calesie why did that guy gave you money? and who is he?" He asked He's so stubborn

"I said it's a long story," I walked away because I know him and he is not going to give up until I answered his questions

"Where are you going?" He asked while continuously following me

"I am going home to pack my things and then rest so that I am going to have a lot of energy tomorrow maybe you should try it too because we will need it tomorrow go home and take a rest, Al," I said

"By the way, your mom told me that you were still having the same nightmare, " He said and it made me stop walking

"you are almost having that kind of dream since we were just a child and still you can't figure out who the little girl is, her face and her voice why? why are you having that nightmare?" he continued

I was so silent because of what Aldrin said, I too wanted to know who the little girl is and why do I always keep dreaming about her even though I don't know her

That's why I wanted to find out and to do that I have to know and find out Who I am or
