The bastard prince took the princess in his arms, his alexandrite eyes met her blazing rubies and their gazes were electrifying.
"Your highness, are we not enemies to begin with? You are a fool to dote on me as such."
"Because I love you so, and this marriage will not fall apart for we have one end goal."
The princess caught herself suppressing a laugh.
Love?
Who in their right minds do actually love their enemies?
"Husband, what goal do we have in common but to kill each other?"
The princess teased the man with her own game of seduction – from tousling his beautiful raven hair, caressing his chiseled jawline, to tracing his kissable lips with the tips of her fingers.
She moved in closer, her body pressed on his as they played a dangerous game.
His eyes were something to behold – it was exquisite, a beautiful pool to drown in, but she can't be swayed by such things.
The prince's eyes momentarily switched from the cool icy silver oceans, to a piercing tinge of gold, and the princess saw the enemy in him.
He twisted his body and with much ease, he had her restrained between his muscled legs. He was on top of her now and in control.
The princess tried to escape his clutches as she kicked her legs and dug her nails on his skin. Blood trickled from the scratches and dropped on the pristine crumpled bedsheets.
The prince grabbed her wrists with one hand, and pinned them above her head just an inch away from the bedpost.
"I can easily kill you right now, if you so wish to go down that path with me. But I won't."
He let out a low guttural growl as his legs pressed on hers to keep her from resisting, and then his lips came crashing down on hers.
"Mmm!!!"
The princess was taken off guard by the kiss, and somehow, she felt the intoxicating pheromones from the vampire prince mellow her down.
When he saw to it that the princess had calmed down, the prince withdrew from the kiss and said, "I may be a prince of this kingdom, but I never wanted to rule it nor see it prosper."
The princess regarded the prince with much hatred, and she hissed, "Then what do you want, your highness? Fame, freedom, power?"
"I want this kingdom to fall apart, I want to hunt down the people who made my life a misery, burn those that humiliated me."
