Path of Cultivation

With the Sect Leader now leaving the cave the two decided to start reading the Immortal Techniques right away as they had time to spare but were to excited to be patient. With a will to learn every single technique inside the cave Yang Kai and Lin Fan spent the next week without rest reading every book non stop when the sect leader came to check in on them the second day to his surprise they had read 4 techniques each already, but what confused him is why they were off to the side.

When he had asked the two why they were off to the side both of them replied, "Well these are off to the side, because we already comprehended and learned them!". The Sect leader was amazed! Never in his life has he seen someone comprehend techniques like these that fast, it would take the average person a month to learn at least 2 of these! They had learned 4 within just a day!? He asked them about them as he had learned every technique inside the cave and even created some of them with his master. To his surprise they had not only learned the techniques fully, but explained them in such a manner that they broke down every little detail of the methods to where a normal human could understand! These two were prodigies destined for greatness the Sect leader thought.

Later that day Yang Kai and Lin Fan had eaten and got right back to reading. With no breaks for the next week they would read half the books in the cave and by the middle of next week, they would have all techniques memorized. By the time the end of the two weeks came around the two had slept a total of maybe 15 hours in between reading. They both passed out and when the sect leader came in he just smiled turned around and left.

The next day Lin Fan and Yang Kai began cultivating on the mats. To their surprise the Spiritual Qi was very thick and abundant here. With just 20 minutes of cultivation they both had broken through to the First Layer of Tempered Body! Another hour passed and they had broke through to the Second Layer! When they were cultivating to the third layer they could feel the Spiritual Qi in their body start greatly strengthening the bones, skin, and veins. The rich Qi passing through their bodies not yet being able to be stored in the datian was flowing through like a river. With them cultivating at this speed they would be to the initial foundation realm by the end of the month!

When their master went and checked in on them and saw they were at the third layer already and also at the peak, he remembered when he had checked in on them last night a bit of Spiritual Energy from their bodies couldn't even be sensed. But to break through to the third layer in just 2 days was absolutely insane! The average person could cultivate to the third layer in a month but they had managed in just 2 days! The master was more than impressed and knew they would easily surpass him in their life time, and even possibly surpass his master who was a low immortal.

With the two consistently cultivating throughout the next 3 weeks, the breakthroughs became farther and farther apart once they had hit the 3rd layer it took them an entire day more to break through to the peak of fourth. Still making amazing progress, they broke through to the 3rd layer of the initial foundation in 2 weeks and the peak of initial foundation in 3 more weeks. They could finally start circulating Spiritual Qi into their datian. They both knew that the outer disciples would be into the sect within 2 more weeks and even had the chance to meet some of their classmates or neighbors in the sect if they were lucky enough to make it in. They both knew amazing chances would come but terrifying people with tremendous strength would rival them and even become their enemies, making the heavens shake and the earth tremble these two would rise to the top.
