After dying in a accident a young man named Adrian Solis is now a freelancer who owns a Omnidimensional Shop. He has to travel to different worlds to build a clientele for different odd jobs while just wanting to laze around and have fun.
1st Person POV
For what seemed like an eternity, I a floating soul have been wandering this empty void with nothing to do.
After dying from a random truck that was speeding out of control, only one thought came to my mind.
'Is that you Truck-kun?'
Now I've been here in this endless abyss, just floating here for who knows how long.
Where is my ROB, that will reincarnate me into a new world with OP wishes?
Why has no one shown up yet?
Out of nowhere I felt a tug on my whole being, pulling me into a certain direction.
Finally feeling something new I couldn't help but feel excited.
Traveling at a unreal speed I started to see a small light that was getting bigger and bigger.
Soon the light fully engulfed me and I seemed to be losing my consciousness.
"Aaahnn, hoooaaah."
"Why does my body feel so heavy?"
Wait!!!!
Opening my eyes right away I looked down to see, that in fact I did have a body again.
Looking around I seem to be in some kind of empty room.
There's nothing in here at all, just a squeaky clean wooden floor.
Before I could ponder anymore about my new situation, a floating blue screen popped up right in front of me.
# Welcome to the Omnidimensional Shop.
# You have been chosen as the new host of the 69,696,969,696,969th store.
# Now choose which type of shop you would like to open up.
A new screen popped up with many different types of stores I could pick from.
There were many different ones from a bakery to one that sold electronics.
It was even giving me the option of opening up a massage parlor.
Each option seemed to be able to branch further into certain directions.
The electronics shop would start off with just phones and other normal electronics, but would allow me to unlock new things with the more items I sold.
I could eventually get tech from worlds like Cyberpunk.
Damn I could even get gundams at some point.
It also seemed that depending on what type of shop I began with, it would determine the type of starter pack I would get.
The electronics one would start me off with electrical engineering mastery.
Most of the options seemed to have a similar starter pack that would give me a mastery over the type of things that were in the shop.
For the ones that were selling a service like a massage parlor, it would give me the skill to complete the service.
The more clients I got the better I would get at the service I was providing.
A quick thought popped up in my head.
If I opened up this shop as a escort service, would that mean I would eventually become a god of sex.
As good as that sounds, how would I even get the female clients I would need for that line of work.
By no means am I ugly, and I always kept my body in pretty good shape.
Looking at the starter pack for that kind of shop didn't fill me up with any confidence though.
It wouldn't make me the most handsome man in the omniverse, to the point where one look from me would get any woman to drop her panties.
I would just start off with enhanced sexual skills.
I don't think my looks are good enough that any attractive woman would pay me for sex so I could increase those skills.
Most of the shops seemed like a very slow start before I could have any fun.
Going through the many different options one finally caught my attention.
# Shop Profession - Freelancer
# Freelancer - An independent contractor who earns wages on a per-job or per-task basis, typically for short-term work.
# Each successful job earns one Omnidimensional Gacha Roll.
# Starter Pack - 10 OD Gacha Rolls
This reminded me of one of my favorite shows Gintama.
That was pretty much the main character Gintoki's job in the show.
He was usually able to laze around as much as he wanted.
Only taking the jobs that interested him unless he was in a dire need of money.
With this choice I would have a lot of freedom and would only do the jobs I wanted to do.
It's stated that every shop came with a living space and the necessities I would need on a daily basis.
Isn't this pretty much just me retiring after my death if I don't want to take any job as a freelancer.
The only issue with this choice is I hate gacha.
I never had good luck with any game that involved it.
Well worst case scenario I can just decline any difficult job until I got some good rolls.
Selecting it as my type of shop the room started to shake like crazy.
A nice looking reception desk and chair popped into existence on one side of the room.
Comfortable looking couches and chairs were next.
Two doors also showed up out of nowhere.
One was across the room from the reception desk and the other was behind it and the chair.
The door that was across from the desk seemed to have a bell attached to it marking it as the entrance to my shop.
A new screen then popped up in front of me.
# Omnidimensional Shop Status Page
# Shop owner - Adrian Solis
# Shop name - choose one
# Preferred clientele - choose type
# Hours open - choose hours
# OD Gacha Rolls Available - 10
Okay, so I get to decide on the type of customers I want to find my shop and the hours I have to work.
They really know how to spoil their shop owners.
Locking in my choices I look at the updated statis page
# Omnidimensional Shop Status Page
# Shop owner - Adrian Solis
# Shop name - Solis's Problem Solving! I might be the answer to your problem.
# Preferred clientele - attractive women
# Hours Open - 8 hours a day, weekends off, opening and closing times may vary
# OD Gacha Rolls Available - 10
I can't work for less then 8 hours a day.
At least I can choose what hours I work everyday and get weekends off.
As far as my choice in customers, if I'm going to be forced to have people visit my shop might as well have them be hot women.
The name of my shop really doesn't matter and with the second part of the name no one can say I didn't tell them beforehand if I fail a job.
Opening the door behind the reception desk showed a hallway that led to a living room and kitchen.
There were two more doors that were most likely a bathroom and bedroom.
Wow all the rooms seemed to be fully furnished and my new bedroom had a really nice king sized bed.
The kitchen was fully stocked with a lot of my favorite types of food and drinks.
In the living room there was a huge flat screen tv with different gaming consoles.
Turning on the tv showed the different gaming consoles were already hooked into it, even tho there weren't any visible wires.
There were also many different tv shows and movies I could choose from.
I was really given access to every single game I've ever played and could watch any show or movie from my past.
Damn this really is my retirement after death.
Why should I do any job when I could just live such a cozy, lazy life here?
Plopping down onto the couch I bring out my status page.
Mentally choosing the gacha section I got ready for my rolls.
A screen pops up with a giant wheel and button that says spin.
Fuck there are so many things on the wheel that I can't even read any of the rewards on it.
Mentally clicking the spin button the wheel starts to spin at a insane speed.
It starts to slow down until the name of my first pull is shown above the wheel.
# Congratulations you have won Killua's Yo-yo's
Two navy blue and green yo-yo's with yellow hexagrams appeared in mid-air in front of me.
I reached out to catch them only for the yo-yo's to drag me to the floor.
"Why the hell are they so heavy?"
Dropping them on the ground I look at the description of them.
# Killua's Yo-yo's - Two extremely durable yo-yo's each weighing around 50 kilograms made from a special metal alloy. They are also excellent electrical conductors.
These are really cool, but what use are they if I'm struggling to even pick them up.
The next 8 spins are even worse.
# Congratulations you have won a package of pork ramen
# Congratulations you have won a replica of a 4 star dragon ball
# Congratulations you have won a pencil eraser
# Congratulations you have won a ugly christmas sweater
# Congratulations you have won Monkey D Luffy's straw hat
# Congratulations you have won a package of skittles
# Congratulations you have won Sosuke Aizen's glasses
# Congratulations you have won a back scratcher
This is why I hate gacha,
I don't need any of these things.
The straw hat and glasses are admittedly awesome just because of who owned them, but they are basically just collector's items.
Before doing my last spin I put my hands together and closed my eyes.
"RNGesus I know I haven't been the most devout follower, but please give me your blessing."
"If this last spin is even just a little bit useful to me and this shop's future, I'll build you a shrine and bring offerings to it every single day."
The last spin started speedily going through every possible thing in the entire omniverse.
It slowly landed on my final pull.
# Congratulations you have won a race change to True Dragon
