The octa

In the year 2170, a Filipino scientist named "Ezekiel" discovered a rare type of liquid in Antarctica and called it "gram". The liquid had a very limited quantity, which was completely depleted. There were only eight samples of it. The scientist "Rowan" then proposed a project named "Project Octa", which would select a few people globally. Many individuals participated in the experiment.

In the end, the selected participants were Antonio (Filipino), John (American), Natasha (Italian), Diego (Spanish), Sung Won (South Korean), Misamoto (Japanese), Friedrich (German), and Abubakar from Nigeria. The eight selected participants were injected with the serum. However, after the experiment, they noticed something unusual about the participants. Their eyes turned red, and they seemed to be surrounded by an evil aura.

"Guys, get out of here! I think something went wrong in the experiment. The serum gave them abilities, but it had a major drawback! There's an evil aura mixed in the serum," Rowan exclaimed.

Soon after, the participants wreaked havoc in the world, dividing territories amongst themselves. The eight participants were later named "Octa" derived from the word "eight". Each member claimed territories around the world, dominating the entire globe. Despite government attempts to fight back using military power, they failed to reclaim the territories from Octa.

"I, Francis, even lost my brother to Octa when they were wreaking havoc in the city. I couldn't do anything to save my little brother. If only I had the power to fight back," Francis lamented.

Eventually, they turned people into slaves to work for them, providing minimal food in return.

"Hey, Francis, you should stop spacing out and work, or they will punish us for being lazy again," Angelo cautioned.

Angelo was Francis's friend, and they had been close even before Octa's domination.

"It's so unfair. Why do people like us have to work hard for them? If only we had the power to fight back," Francis expressed.

"Shhh, don't speak too loudly, or they will hear us," Francis replied.

As they conversed, a guard overheard and immediately reported to the higher-ups.

"I see. So, some slaves are discussing our 'lord'?" the leader inquired.

"Yes, sir. They were speaking about our lord and complaining about their treatment," the guard confirmed.

"Bring them here!" the general ordered angrily.

"Hey, you two, the leader wants to speak with you," the guard informed.

"I think he's calling us, Francis," Angelo observed.

"I think so too," Francis concurred.

"Sir, may we ask why the leader wishes to speak with us?" Francis inquired.

"Stop asking questions and follow me," the guard commanded.

"Do you know why I called you here?" the leader asked.

The two responded with fear, wondering what they had done wrong. Francis was filled with curiosity.

"I called you here because my guard heard you complaining about the food we provide," the leader stated.

"Yes, sir. Even though we work tirelessly, we receive only a small amount of food," Francis boldly replied.

While they conversed, Diego, one of the Octa members, arrived on the scene.

"Oh, my lord, what brings you here?" the general greeted.

"I came to check on my territories and inquire about these individuals who are complaining," Diego explained.

"These fools should know their place! Be grateful for the food you receive," Diego remarked.

"Grateful? We work day and night, but what do we get in return? A meager portion of food!" Francis retorted.

Diego's response angered Francis, leading to a confrontation. Diego displayed his power as a Rank 8 Octa member, using his unique ability "Shadow Slice".
