"I love you, Ariana," he said as he kissed her brow. He stroked her hair and smelled its fragrance.
She could hear his heartbeat and jumped in surprise as he embraced her. But this was not what she desired. For her, this was her worst nightmare.
He then pressed her as she cried quietly on his chest, but it only made her tears fall like a fountain. She wants to be alone without him in her life. But she can't even save herself.
"Shh. Don't cry, sweetie. I'm here. You know that I'll do anything for you. Even if it means killing or destroying someone's life I can't imagine the pain of losing you. I don't know what will happen if you abandon me someday. So please. Don't ever think of leaving me, sweetie. I can't live without you."
For a brief moment, his eyes became lifeless. Even though she couldn't see his eyes, she could feel them, and his touch made her breathless. Chilly. That's the only way to put it as his grip tightened around her waist like he doesn't want to let her go.
