概要

Linus Gray's parents were killed when he was young just because he was born different. His parents' killer asked him to grow strong and avenge their deaths, and that's exactly what he intended to do. Lalin grew up without knowing her father. The one reason why she even bothered thinking of him was that she got her flaming red locks from him. She was raised to be a cold-blooded assassin in a family that wasn't her blood but took her in when her mother succumbed to cancer. Linus Gray and Lalin’s paths were about to cross because of one man - the Lone Wolf of Maine. Where will a life of blood bath and revenge take the two people fated to be together?

Chapter 1Death And Betrayal

The road was slippery because of the rain. The moon is peeping in the night sky, however, it barely offers any light on this side of the road for they were lined up with huge Bald Cypress trees–the tree that symbolizes mourning. For they are now entering the land that was the battleground of the epic war that almost drove their kind into extinction.

He is escaping the men that were ordered to kill his family. He nervously glanced at his wife in the passenger seat, her beautiful face was ghostly white. After all, it was her family that signed their death warrant. He shifted his gaze to the backseat where his son—too young to know the cruelty of this word, was staring at him with his gray eyes, asking him questions he had no answer to offer. He gave him a shaky smile instead.

He returned his eyes to the slippery road, praying that those who were after them wouldn't catch up with them until they reached the black stone on the side of the road. The inconspicuous stone was the signage that the land was the Free Land for their kind where no blood should be spilled. It is his only hope. He stepped on the accelerator, not minding the road.

However, fate had something different in her mind that night. The men that were tasked to eliminate his family were hot on their heels. Briare was the man who was given the order to kill the rogue wolves. He smirked when in the past it was him who ran after the rogue and now, he and his family are being considered as rogue.

And they are now escaping to the Free Land—the ground where the five strongest werewolves' families battled for forty days and forty nights hundred of years ago. In that war, no one won but rather lost a lot of their loved ones. Thus, to honor the fallen ones who sacrifice their lives in a useless war of greed and power, the five families pledged for the land to be a safe zone where no blood of another wolf will drench the ground.

The war that took hundreds of lives didn't end the five werewolves' families' struggle for power. For when did their predatory nature and their greed for power ever be satiated? The war continued until this modern time but they no longer rip each other's throats in their wolf form. They have more finesse now. They rip apart their enemy in the boardrooms, wearing expensive three-piece business suits money could ever buy.

Briare was running at full speed, crisscrossing trees, keeping a watch on the speeding car a few kilometers down the highway. He usually enjoys this chase but not tonight. The order to eliminate and repress this traitor and his family—was a strange one. And the fact that they are taking refuge in the free land. The mission doesn't sit right with Briare.

Because no one who betrayed their pack would ever dare to take refuge in the Free Land where everyone is free to come but not everyone can stay. For them to run to the land that was bathed in their ancestor's blood, Azul must have gone insane. The old Lone Wolf of Maine would kill him if he knew how he betrayed his own pack.

"Briare, you motherfucker! Don't you dare touch my family!" Azul's chest was heaving painfully, for every time he spoke or even made a small movement, blood oozed from the corner of his mouth.

Azul didn't anticipate the three wolves that ran right into their path, resulting in him losing control of the wheel and their tires skidding off the side road, hitting a giant Cypress tree.

Briare surveying Azul's body thought to himself. 'He must have cracked his chest in the impact of the crash.' A small amount of pity reaches the far end of his brain, after all, they are from the same pack. They're brothers!

That's what makes this mission a difficult one. But brother or not, he was given an order that he can't refuse for its failure meant his own life.

They were still assessing each other when their attention was brought to the whimpering woman in the passenger seat of the black sedan.

Her right arm was broken badly. She must have tried to protect herself from the impact of the crash. Glass shard was buried on the right side of her face. Her golden hair was tangled, plastered on her face was covered with blood.

Her mouth was opening and closing like a fish taken out of the fish tank, gasping for air. She looks grotesque, yet everyone that would gaze at her would agree that she looks beautiful, mesmerizing even.

"Claudette, you bitch," Briare muttered under his breath.

Azul growled at the shattered passenger-side car window. They saw an arm snaked around Claudette's neck before a man's face. He has a devious smirk on his lips, marred by some scars.

"There is nothing you could do to protect your bitch of a mate, brother." He whispered to Azul's ear.

"Claudette," he lifted his arm to reach the woman he loves but failed. A tear fell from the corner of his eyes as he watched his mate whimper in pain.

"Briare, not my family, please."

"It's too late, brother."

The arm of the man strangling Claudette's neck ripped her canary dress.

Azul's growl was muted by the gushing of blood in his mouth. In his blurry vision, he saw the hateful man, touching his beautiful wife's breast before his hand emerged from Claudette's bosom with a necklace. The red necklace was with the insignia of the other pack. The necklace red pendant was from the Remulian pack—and it was covered in blood. It was Briare's turn to growl, seeing the necklace.

"Tell me, Azul. What does it feel like to die with the truth that your mate betrayed you?" He gripped Azul's face and forced him to look as the man holding Claudette snapped her neck in an instant before he disappeared as quickly as he came.

Azul went berserk, seeing his mate die in front of his own eyes. He found a new burst of energy to release himself from the confinement of the steering wheel and the driver's seat.

The wolves standing watch outside the car, stepped back when they smelled the rage of an Alpha.

Briare snapped his brother's neck before he could go on a full rampage. He was protecting the pack were his thoughts when he took his brother's life.

"Briare, we have to leave now! They are coming!"

He stepped away from the driver's seat window and opened the backseat door. On the floor of the car, in between the gap between the driver and passenger seat was a black puppy, not bigger than a poodle.

But this one isn't a poodle. It's a handsome black wolf. When he bent over to grab him from the floor, the small pup jumped and hid under Claudette's feet.

His gray eyes were full of hate as he watched him under his mother's bloody legs.

He was mesmerized by the anger in his eyes and the fact that he didn't make a sound while his parents were being killed.

"My name is Briare. I am your uncle and I killed your parents. Grow up strong Linus Gray and find me." He whispered before he pulled himself out of the car to escape for the Lone Wolf of Maine is coming.

And the pack under his command retreated from the scene of the crime for no one wished to die under the Lone Wolf of Maine's cruel hands.

Without a mate, a Luna for the pack, his people would suffer. And what is he going to do when he stumbles across the girl that fate has chosen for him and he finds out she has no wolf? "This cannot be!" I roared. "There is no way that I can mate with a girl that does not even have a wolf. She will be too weak. She will be inferior. She will not be strong enough to be a Luna." "I simply could not accept her as my mate. Not fully. It wasn't safe for her. She would get herself killed. And she would bring my pack down with her." When these two meet, sparks will surely fly. But will it be from passion, or their constant fighting? Neither of them wanted a mate. Neither of them wants the mate that fate chose for them. And neither of them can make that mate bond go away. What are they going to do now that they're literally stuck with each other? ***Rating Warning*** Adult Language Violence Strong Sexual Content THIS BOOK IS UNDERDER AN EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT AND IT IS NOT TO BE POSTED OR PUBLISHED ANYWHERE ELSE. Hades' Cursed Luna

In a world where Lycans and werewolves are sworn enemies, Eve Valmont is a werewolf cursed by a prophecy and framed. Betrayed by her own pack and imprisoned for years, her fate takes a darker twist when she is offered to the Lycan King, Hades Stavros—a ruler feared for his ruthless conquests and deadly prowess. Bound by an ancient prophecy and haunted by the ghosts of her past, Eve is now at the mercy of the one being she should hate and fear the most—The Hand of Death himself. Hades, a king carved from blood and his own soul's decay, determined to avenge his family's slaughter and rid his people of the werewolves. He believes Eve is the key to his victory. To him, she is nothing but weapon foretold by prophecy, a tool he will wield to destroy the opposing forces threatening his pack. Yet, he finds himself craving this powerful yet broken woman. Leaving him questioning if she is truly his weapon or the one destined to unravel his carefully laid plans. *** He stalked toward me, a predator closing in on its prey, his eyes dark and unreadable. "So, you laugh?" His voice was low, dangerously soft, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how difficult it had become to breathe. "Hades, I—" "But you only laugh at other men's jokes," he interrupted, his gaze piercing, devoid of any humor. "Not your husband's." The accusation in his tone was sharp, slicing through the air between us. A nervous chuckle escaped me. "You can't be serious... He’s your beta, for Goddess’ sake." In an instant, he closed the distance between us, so fast it left me breathless. His hands gripped my waist, pulling me flush against his body, the heat of him making my skin tingle. I gasped, but before I could say a word, his lips crashed onto mine, claiming my mouth with a force that sent shockwaves through me. The kiss was punishing, hungry—I couldn't breathe, couldn't think. When he finally pulled back, I was trembling, my chest heaving as I struggled to regain my breath. His eyes, dark and stormy, searched mine with a possessive intensity. "You can’t laugh at my jokes..." he whispered, his voice a dangerous rasp as his fingers trailed lower, sending a shiver down my spine, "but you’ll come with my fingers." I shivered, heat pooling low in my belly at his words, his touch. The world around us blurred, fading into nothing as his hand slipped lower, drawing a ragged gasp from my lips. The look in his eyes told me he knew exactly what he was doing to me, and there was no denying the primal connection between us in that moment. "I don’t need your laughter," he murmured against my skin, his breath hot on my neck. "I’ll have every other part of you instead." **** Dark fantasy romance Morally Grey ML Angst Suspense ENEMIES to lovers Smut (like sprinkles on your ice cream)
