THE GUY WHO KILLED MY BOYFRIEND

CHAPTER ONE

"Dayne, Mommy just called over the phone. She said that we have to accompany and take you to your school today. It is your first day of school and we have to support you! You are now a graduating student!"

"Yes!!! Yes!!"

"Would you like us to throw a party for you, baby girl?"

I rolled my eyes. My brothers are becoming paranoid again.

Oh well, welcome to my story. My name is Dayne Jamila, DJ for short. And all I can say is that I have three crazy brothers namely AJ, BJ, and CJ. Our initials were created by our mom.

"Look guys, I can now handle myself. I am all grown up. Stop treating me as a child, alright? And besides, you CJ, you better prepare for your class too. You also have a class, right?"

I am old enough to handle myself, but my three brothers are so protective of me. Maybe because, I am their only girl sibling and our parents are not always with us all the time, they are looking after our family business.

"Stop complaining DJ, just follow us. We are older than you. And besides, you can't do anything but obey us. Is that clear?" Said AJ. He is the oldest among us.

I just nodded. For the sake of peace and order, I will just obey them.

"Don't be serious DJ. Come on, show your beautiful smile to the world." I know CJ is just trying to break the tension in the air so he is being so jolly as usual.

I just fake a smile then headed to the parking lot.

"DJ, how are you feeling right now? Are you excited for your first day of class?" asked BJ when we were all inside the car.

I just nodded. Honestly, I am not excited nor happy. It's just a plain day for me. I am more thinking about having an encounter with someone I should meet. Someone I should punch directly on his face so he could feel my anger towards him.

Someone who killed my boyfriend. Yes, I should have been given a chance to meet him on my first day of school.

"I hate to say this Dayne but you have to prepare yourself. There is a big possibility that Dylan will still be your schoolmate. I hope you are okay with that. Moving on is not easy, but acceptance will surely help to ease it." said CJ

Speaking of which, Dylan is the one I am talking about. The guy who killed my boyfriend.

Suddenly, all the pain flashed back. How everything happened on that one tragic night. I and my boyfriend were about to go home after school when Dylan blocked our way. He was holding a gun then eventually pointed it at my boyfriend. I was asking what is going on but seems like I am not existing that night.

It is between Dylan and my boyfriend.

That was the first time I've seen Dylan's face. My boyfriend hasn't talked about anything that is connected to Dylan. I was clueless about the turn of events. No one is speaking between them. I was trying to get the gun from Dylan's hand but I haven't got the chance to do it. My boyfriend screamed my name. For the last time, he screamed my name. Later did I realized that he was already shot by Dylan. He stumbled down, then eventually, bathed on his blood.

I cried for help.

I cried for my boyfriend's life but no one heard me.

I don't know how we reached the hospital that night, and how the doctor declared that my boyfriend was dead upon arrival.

I don't know what else did happen.

The only thing I know is that Dylan was the one who did all of it.

He was not imprisoned because he was not yet of legal age, and also due to the lack of evidence.

The thing that he is freely enjoying his life makes me feel uncomfortable.

I have to do something to get justice.

I have to fight for my boyfriend's life.

But I have to work quietly and safely to get the justice that I am aiming for.

I am not saying any of my plans even to my brothers.

Let there be no hindrance to my future actions.

"I am coping up with the things around me, don't worry about me guys. I am strong enough to face everything." I said.

I have to give them assurance that I am just fine. CJ hugged me. I tapped his shoulder.

Well, I am just hoping that I could be able to see Dylan again.

I have a lot of things to ask him. But it might be impossible for him to speak up so I guess, punching his face will be the first thing to do.
