Chapter 55: The Intoxicated Young Maiden

Su Yu Xin rubbed her small face, tilting her head to look at Feng Yao with misty eyes, giggling softly.

Feng Yao gently patted her head. "How could this happen after just one cup? Although this bamboo leaf liquor is stronger than fruit wine, it shouldn't be this severe. Could the young maiden be this affected?"

"General…" Su Yu Xin's eyes were crescent-shaped, her voice soft and enchanting, luring with a teasing tone.

"I'll have the kitchen prepare sobering soup for you," Feng Yao's throat tightened slightly.

The young maiden's appearance was too captivating.

"I'm not drunk, why do I need sobering soup?" Su Yu Xin pouted, her rosy lips inviting a touch.

"Alright, you're not drunk." Feng Yao's voice started to grow hoarse.

"Right, not drunk." Su Yu Xin swayed as she got up, feeling as light as cotton beneath her feet, pouncing towards Feng Yao.

"Be careful." Feng Yao hurriedly opened his arms, catching her in an embrace.

The supple jade-like touch made it hard for him to resist certain thoughts.

However, Su Yu Xin, dissatisfied, poked his chest with her fingers. "So firm, like a stone."

Feng Yao's gaze darkened, his breathing growing heavier.

He was akin to a wolf eyeing its prey, desire burning in his eyes, prepared to engulf his target at any moment.

"Don't move." After poking his chest, Su Yu Xin began to cup his face, murmuring.

"I haven't moved." Feng Yao's voice became even huskier.

The young maiden's hands were soft and tender, carrying a scorching warmth, almost melting him away.

"You're clearly moving." Su Yu Xin pouted unhappily, increasing the pressure in her hands, slightly distorting his face.

Unaware of Su Yu Xin's intentions, Feng Yao merely complied without moving, desperately trying to control his fervor.

"Don't move, it'll be over soon." Finally, Su Yu Xin smiled contentedly.

What would be over soon?

Feng Yao was in a fog, unable to fathom the drunken young maiden's thoughts.

Su Yu Xin had turned around, her well-proportioned body twisting in Feng Yao's embrace, causing his mouth to dry and blood to rush in excitement.

As a result, Feng Yao didn't notice that Su Yu Xin had poured another cup of bamboo leaf liquor.

Of course, with Su Yu Xin's current level of inebriation, filling this cup to the brim would have been disastrous. If she had, the table would be flooded, shimmering from afar.

Trembling, Su Yu Xin lifted the wine cup, spilling some more.

When it reached her lips, only half a cup remained.

Su Yu Xin took a deep breath, then tipped the cup back.

Only then did Feng Yao come to his senses, feeling his temples throb.

She just downed a cup, why is she drinking again?

Is she addicted to it?

Su Yu Xin didn't swallow the liquor; instead, she turned around, still cradling Feng Yao's face, muttering.

"It's your turn." Su Yu Xin settled in Feng Yao's embrace, her rosy tongue licking her lips, muttering.

"But you're intoxicated," Feng Yao wanted to experience the feeling too, but feared Su Yu Xin might suffer from the effects of excessive drinking.

"No, I'm not. I can handle a thousand cups," Su Yu Xin anxiously tugged at Feng Yao's collar, her speech slightly slurred.

"Still claiming you're not drunk? Look at how big your tongue is." Feng Yao gently tapped Su Yu Xin's nose, speaking with unstable breath.

"My tongue's big?" Su Yu Xin was stunned for a moment, then extended her rosy tongue and poked it with her delicate finger, her small face collapsing.

"It's not big anymore." Su Yu Xin held onto Feng Yao's neck, her hot face rubbing against his neck, sounding tearful.

"What's not there?" Feng Yao lightly patted Su Yu Xin's back, feeling somewhat bewildered.

He was most afraid of seeing tears in the young maiden's eyes.

"My tongue, my tongue's gone." Su Yu Xin cried, sounding pitiful.

"Silly, how could your tongue disappear? Don't worry, it's still there." Feng Yao chuckled helplessly, softly reassuring her, as one would comfort a child.

"You don't need to console me; I just couldn't feel it a moment ago." Su Yu Xin sniffled, her mind hazy, convinced she had accidentally swallowed it while eating fish, worrying that she wouldn't be able to speak without her tongue.

"It's because of the alcohol; your tongue is numb, so you couldn't feel it." Feng Yao earnestly explained to a tipsy person.

"Really?" Su Yu Xin extended her little tongue, licking her lips. It did feel a bit numb, but it seemed to still be there.

Feeling her tongue, Su Yu Xin stopped crying and hugged Feng Yao's neck again, looking expectant. "It's your turn."

"Drinking more will make your tongue even more numb," Feng Yao held Su Yu Xin, his large hand lightly caressing her back, feeling her curvaceous figure through their clothes, his blood boiling once again.

"Need to drink, must drink," Su Yu Xin urged, shaking Feng Yao.

"If that's the case, tell me, why do you have to drink?" Feng Yao held Su Yu Xin's shoulders to prevent her from swaying back and forth, fearing she might feel dizzy.

"For the toasting ceremony, it only counts if both drink. I've already given you mine. Don't tell me you want to renege?" Su Yu Xin pulled Feng Yao's collar, asking fiercely.

"The toasting ceremony?" Feng Yao was stunned.

"Yes." Su Yu Xin tapped her finger, looking wronged. "We've been married for half a year, and you haven't toasted with me yet. Are you planning not to drink and divorce me later?"

"Um…" Before Su Yu Xin could finish her words, she felt her mouth being covered, warm liquid flowing into her mouth. Down her throat it went, carrying a faint spicy taste, yet more of a heady intoxication.

Feng Yao passed her the drink but didn't let go, deepening the kiss.

Su Yu Xin instinctively clung to Feng Yao's shoulders, passively accepting.

When Feng Yao finally lifted his head, Su Yu Xin gasped for air like a fish out of water.

"We've had the toasting ceremony, next is entering the bridal chamber," Feng Yao's finger brushed against Su Yu Xin's rosy lips, his voice carrying a seductive tone.

"Uh-huh." Su Yu Xin tilted her head in thought for a moment, then, with a dazed gaze, nodded.
