In the kingdom of Arathia, magic flows through the veins of every living being, and the balance between the elements is kept in check by the powerful mages known as the Elementals. Among them is a young man named Ren, who had always dreamed of becoming a powerful mage like his late father. But fate had other plans for Ren when he accidentally killed his best friend, Kaiden, during a training session gone wrong. Wracked with guilt and grief, Ren flees from his hometown, knowing that the consequences of his actions would be severe.
