Alex" Okay... That is cool." 'But not as cool as big sis amora.' kara thinks without realizing she's already acknowledged amora as a sister. suddenly karas phone rings.

Cat" Hello?"

Kara" Oh! Hi, Ms Grant."

Cat" How's Carter? Does he miss his mom?"

(WHISPERS)" Oh my God! Carter! I was supposed to pick him up! yes, I'll be at his school in 3 minutes max."

After saying goodbye to her sister she quickly flew to Carter's school while changing in a nearby park bush.

CARTERS SCHOOL GATE

Walking in she sees a teacher with a clipboard sighing students away, So kara walks up to her and says.

Kara" Hey! Ms Grant put my name on the list. It's Kara Danvers."

Teacher" Yeah, I just need a signature. Yes. Thanks, he's all yours. Have fun, Carter." then proceeds to walk away.

Kara" Hey, I'm Kara. Do you remember me from your mom's office? You've grown since I last saw you." He doesn't answer and keeps staring back and forth from the floor to karas eyes every time she asks a question." So, how was school? This is a really good school. I'm surprised they haven't taught you guys to speak out loud yet."

(CARTER CHUCKLES SOFTLY)

That managed to finally get a soft chuckle out of him which brings karas mind more at ease knowing he isn't just silent.

Kara" I actually really liked school. Learning all about this new planet...

(STAMMERING) That I am also from. Not that I was a nerd or anything."

Carter" My mom and bro say it's okay to be a nerd. They say if you can face your fears and come out of your shell, then... nerds can win in the end." he then starts walking away while thinking.

While they walk kara feels something in her pocket on finds a note. Opening it she sees writing and reads it. Two minutes later kara had a face that could only be described as beautiful yet demonic.

There was happiness and anger but most of all a thirst for revenge. On the letter, it basically said that kai was coming back in a few days and there was also a gift waiting for me at home. Amora also wrote that kai can't be harmed any normal way. There were only two ways to harm or at least weaken him.

Tho she didn't tell me the two she did leave something to help me in my beat down. While kara was smiling creepily. Carter who was walking in front suddenly felt the temperature dropped while a certain unknowing Mc was shopping for presents before returning to earth-38.

Hank" Inside a bomb that destroyed a lab yesterday."

Alex" You don't seem concerned by that."

Maxwell" I'm very concerned with how my technology ended up in a weapon, since I don't make them, but not with becoming your suspect."

Alex" And why is that?"

Maxwell" Because it was my lab that was destroyed. It was a subsidiary of one of my companies. Not that it's public knowledge."

Hank" And you didn't think to share that information with us?"

Maxwell" I prefer not to rely on the government to solve my problems."

Alex" Any idea who's targeting you?"

Maxwell" I'm trying to change the world, Agent Danvers. So anyone invested in maintaining the status quo would be interested in targeting me."

Hank" That's a conveniently large suspect pool."

Alex" All right, well, let's narrow it down to former employees with access to the lab, who knows how to modify the tech, and have a personal grudge against you."

Kara" Wow, she does sound pretty cool." This time saying the words with even more pride.
