Chapter 63

"How does it feel to be eighteen, princess?" Victoria asked as she worked on my hair in a complicated style. I sat up straight and stretched out my back as she twisted my hair in place, carefully knotting all the strands together to make my hair into something that resembled an updo.

"I feel happy, but also quite nervous." I said as I watched her apply some lipstick to my mouth. The lipstick was bright red and made my lips look so beautiful and plump.

"Nervous?" She repeated and looked at me with concern written across her face. "Why are you nervous?"

"Cause I'm getting older, which means I have more responsibilities towards my kingdom. The whole stuff about Calista's return has really affected me," I sighed as I ran my hand through my hair again before looking over at Victoria.

"I understand how you feel because now that she is back, Richard and the whole kingdom are in danger." Victoria sighed.
