And I did know what to do. Or at least, I had a feeling about it. An idea. It was vague, and leaned more towards a ‘just go with it and it’ll all work out’ vibe, but what I lacked in specifics I made up for in unfounded confidence.
While Ronnie looked on in abject horror, I set the box down and knelt beside it, much as Cecil had been doing when we arrived. Eerie and slightly off-key singing filled my ears as I dug through the Pieces in the box, searching for… something. I’d know it when I saw it.
