The Choice Seer

As I walked up to the Guild Association, I realised, my life had changed for better or for worst. If only it never happened. I kept telling myself this is a dream, but I know deep down it isn't, as I walked towards the Guild Association for my registry.

It a began 2 days ago, yes, 2 days was all it took 2 change my life completely. My school graduation had just ended, and I was with my parents as we left school for lunch, we took the long route, to view at my dream college, or my will-be college, I might not be a nerd, but I had given it my all for my final year exam, to make sure I am able to enter this specific college. I'm not like many others, who dreamt of becoming a Adventurer. I dreamt of a normal job, or maybe abit higher wage such as a Accountant. And this college was the best possible. As it was close to near the Guild Association no one would dare to attack it, as if they do, adventurers will be able to stop them in a quick time. And it is also heavily guarded by strong adventurers who have some injury so they could still earn some wages while resting, making it one of the highest defensed school in the world.

As my parents and I entered the school, we were damn shock to see bodies lying around, and a fierce wolf monster staring back at us, as I looked around, every adventuerer died by its hands, one still on its claws. It roared, and my parents and I suddenly couldn't move freely at all, the wolf monster suddenly eyes me, and its claws reaching out towards me, I as useless as I was couldn't move, and my life flashed before my eyes, I nearly started crying as I knew I was about to die. Suddenly, I realised my parents both pushed me at the same time when the giant claw striking them. With their push, only my legs were heavily injured. My parents however pratically died with their bodies sliced. I have no words for what I had seen. But only determination, I told myself, don't cry or stay still, my parents had just died trying to save me, I have to live for their sake, as I crawled my way out of the gate, I saw the wolf coming closer to slice me.

Suddenly 3 choices flashed into my mind, its like I know this 3 choices like it was second nature. As I closed my eyes to imagine this 3 choices, I realised it was like 3 ways to run. 1st choice, is where I would dodge the wolf attack and met a Adventurer. 2nd choice is where I stood still or tried to run a direction where I still died. And the 3rd is where I managed to just run away. I immediately went for the 1st choice.

As I dodged waves after waves of attack(somehow) by the wolf monster, I finally saw the Adventurer, he immediately fought the wolf as I saw his Ruby badge, I realised I was saved, The Ruby Badge was the highest rank given to a Adventurer, the badge infact only exist 3 per country. I was extremely luckily to have found him. Despite him being Ruby badged, I realised it took him quite a while to fought the monster, and for a fraction of a second I thought he would lose, which suddenly I heard a soft roar as the wolf monster died.

'I'm Transgrain, Ruby badged Hunter, I must say I am impress by your determination, if it was I in your shoe, I wouldn't have lived or wanted to try to live. I could see from your blood trail that you strived for this far.' After hearing this I had cried, realising both my parents had died, leaving me and my 10 year old sister behind. As I cried, I fainted from the loss of blood.

I awoke in a hospital bed, where I realised my legs are healed, 'definitely the work of a high ranked healer' I thought to myself, and I suddenly saw a person wearing the official Guild Association badge beside me, saying 'I'm sorry for your loss, the funeral of your parents have already gone through with all of the victims of the incident. The monster you have met was Platinum, and he had escaped the dungeon. As a compensation, we will be covering your families living expenses for a year, where you will find relatives whom may adopt.'

As the person left, I realised that theres was no income in our family, my father and mother had both been an only child, and as far as I've heard, we have no other relatives. Meaning it is only a year until we have no more money. Sure my parents might have leaved some money behind, and some for my college, but with such little money, its better off I have to start working. My sister at age 10 couldn't even try and help to support the family.

After discharging and going home, I saw my sister, she was red-eyed like she had been crying, after comforting her for an hour I went to my bedroom to think on how to support the family. After thinking for a while, I decided to go and become an Adventurer, as with my standards, thats the only possible job that I can take that in future can help support the family.

It was at that moment, I remembered the choices thing, and I tried to close my eyes, wondering if it was a illusion, than again, how would I have lived if it was? Luck? Than I felt it, it really felt like second nature as I just poofed! and I saw 3 choices again, I left the house and repeated for a entire morning and realised the following 'rules'.

Rules

1. The choices are always good, bad or neutral, but not TOO good. Meaning I can't win a lottery. But good as in lifesaving.

2. The choices only reset if I had done 1 of the choice.(Or am too far for the choice to be effective).
