Tales of Demons and Gods: Rise of Ye Xing

--Glory City, Holy orchid Institute, Fighter Apprentice class--

A class meant to teach young aspiring commoners how to cultivate, for young nobles to socialize and for the next generation of humanities guardians to grow up and defend the last bastion of humanity from all that dares threaten her walls.

In front of the classroom stands a Red haired beauty no older than twenty, in a lavender dress, talking about the history of Glory City and the differences between the fighters who most will one day become and the Demon Spiritualists who are the true saviours of humanity.

In the back of the class two individuals were transmigrating into the body of two students. One was a three hundred years old cultivator who once lived in this very city and the other was a teen from Earth who passed away in his sleep due to cancer while waiting for the next chapter of a manga he started reading recently.

The boy from Earth raises his head and looks around seemingly confused as to why he was here and say perhaps in his not so comfy bed. Looking at all the students around him seeing as no one was even bothering to look at him or seem phased as to why he is here, he concluded it must be alright for him to be here. Like a hammer from the heavens a mighty headache struck our valiant MC causing him to lay his head down once more.

Memories of both lives flow through him first his life on earth then his life in this new world. The first few months and years flow like a quick movie until the memory of when his mother died giving birth to his younger brother who to subsequently died in child birth when he was 5. The next memory to slow the memories down was two years later when his father died while serving in the city guards patrol team who attacked a dark guild outpost not more than a days walk from the city.

Forced to live with his drunkard 70 years old grandfather in the slums, he work as a postal delivery boy in the inner city and markets as well as in the outer towns and cities. At age 10 his grandfather also died but before he handed him a necklace saying "Don't lose hope Ye Xing. My brother, your grand Uncle, will arrive soon. Give him this necklace and he will protect you and help you grow where I failed you. I'm sorry..."

His Grand Uncle showed up a week later and took him in, teaching him everything from inscription to alchemy and most importantly how to cultivate. Using a soul stone he was shown to have an Orange soul realm and 24 soul power. With these talents his Grand Uncle paid for his attendance to the Holy Orchid institute before disappearing without a trace.

Having gone through both memories the two souls blended and merged to create a new soul, not quite Mike and not Quite Ye Xing but more of an amalgamation of the two. The new Ye Xing, having come to terms with his new lot in life, looks around the class again. Finding his target, Nie Lie, raising his head in shock while he too looks around the class in joy at all his friends alive and well. Fishing around his body looking for something before soon looking of into the distance for a few seconds.

He does his goofy act with his friend and does his 'she is my woman' shtick.

Having had enough I look to the teacher in front Shen Xui having started with the 'main event.'

"For the next two years you all will be my students. Although the school mentioned to myself and all of you that all students are equal, However I must inform you this is simply not true. In this world equality does not exist! After you have all grown up, you to will come to agree with what I have to say. You can't live in a fairy tale forever."

While she was talking I was comparing her speech to the one in the webtoon and I notice small differences in the dialogue and her attitude but it's with in reason as this is no story but real life now. She goes on a bout how glory city is the last city remaining and how out of thousands of fighters only one demon spiritualist may be born.

"The different ranks range from bronze to silver then gold, black gold and finally Legend rank. So long as a Gold rank demon spiritualist appears in a family that family shall be granted aristocrat status. If on the rare occasion a black gold rank demon spiritualist appears that household will become a true noble house."

"How does one become one of the Major families?" a student calls out.

"If you want to speak raise your hand and wait until I give you the chance to speak. Are we clear?" Shen Xui said in a heavy but commanding tone, frightening the child you shouted out.

"And?"

""Yes Ma'am"" all the students said at once.

"Good but call me teacher from know on. To answer your question a family will need three black gold ranks or one legend rank demon spiritualist at once to be given such a rank. Among all of you here before me some of you come from commoner families, some aristocratic families and there is even few from the noble houses. Although you all of you have similar starts, not all of you have the same statuses so I hope you all keep some self awareness. A commoner will always be a commoner so give up on trying to become a noble by your selves. Even amongst the nobility there is a strict hierarchy. Always remember that."

Personally I agree with her statement as without the wealth, protection and knowledge of the large families no commoner will get far in this city. But there is room for growth none the less. I spot Nie Lie raising his hand and he calls out to Shen Xui. She didn't like that and I could tell from the slight tremble on her lips.

What? I'm 13/14 so I'm entitled to a little staring, especially if she's gonna have such revealing clothes in a class of teenagers.

"You said we are the only ones to survive the dark ages. Do you have any evidence to prove that?"

"Has teacher Xui gone outside the St. Ancestral mountain range before and visited the Toxic forest, the Endless desert, the Blood Moon marsh, the Spirt gulf, the Heavenly Luster mountain range or the Northern Snow?"

'I've read about some of these places but what's the Heavenly Luster or the Blood Moon marsh?' thought Shen Xui. Disturbed at the thought of a student knowing of such places as they and that he may know of the few people confirmed to be living there. She took a moment for herself before replying "I've always lived in glory city so I've never personally been to those places."

"Since you have never been to those places then how can you be sure nobody else survived?"

The look on Nie Lie's face shows he thinks he has won this 'engagement' but I'm not going to let him get all the spotlight.

"Sorry teacher Xui but Nie Lie, going by what you said, how can we be sure there is anybody living there if you yourself has never set foot in such places or are you saying you've travelled there?"

How will you respond?

"Let me tell you a story" he starts but I cut him off.

"Don't tell me you are going to use 'a frog in a well' analogue or are you going to give us some proof and facts?"

The smug look on his face fades as soon as it appeared while Teacher Xui gave me 'thank you' sort of look. Everyone else just seemed to be enjoying this three way bout of ours. But he soon comes back with his signature move.

"It's true I've also never been there but nonetheless it begs the question those places exist so who are we to say we are all that's left. But moving on to another point, teacher Xui you said 'A commoner will always be a commoner' but wasn't Lord Ye Mo a commoner?"

That struck a nerve as can be seen at her short delay in response.
