Survive In Another World

The sun almost down. The sky was painted with beautiful golden red colors. The birds had flown back to their nest.

On the quiet street at Sidoarjo City, near Juanda International Airport, a young man walking while gazing on the beautiful sky. He really enjoyed this quiet moment. As a big city, Sidoarjo always full of human. And to find a quiet place, it was rather difficult.

His name was Johnathan Wahyu. Usually, his friends called him Jo, or John. He was working on a cheap airline as Passengers Service. Every time, he need to serve different individuals with their unique problems. In some moments, he had urge to escape to the forest and enjoy the life.

Because he obviously couldn't escape from his job duties, this street was a great alternative for cooling his mind down.

He just silently walked straight on the road without doing anything except walk. He was really enjoyed that moment. But that moment was halted by someone in front of him. An old man was trapped in the sewer!

Jo immediately ran swiftly and helped the old man out of sewer. Old man clothes were full of dirt and very smelly. But those did not prevent Jo to help him. The victim was an antique after all.

"Are you okay, old man? How can you jump into sewer?" Jo asked without thinking.

"Fuck you brat! Who is crazy enough to jump into sewer?! Do you think I'm crazy?" The old man angrily shouted at Jo.

Realized that he said something rude, he immediately apologized. But even with his personal skill, the old man still angry at him. In the end, the old man was leaving without giving Jo his name.

"Strange old man. Ugh... This sewer is smell like dung!" Jo said his complain while shook his head.

When he decided to went home, he found a strange necklace full of disgusting liquid from sewer.

"It must be that unreasonable old man possession. Huh, even he had already gone, he still give me a problem." out of his habit, he never picked someone possession. Even if it was laying on the road.

Indonesia was slightly backward nation. Magic, especially dark magic still preserve well. And something precious laying on the road perhaps was sacrificial offering bait. Any one picked it and he or she would be the sacrificial offering. Regardless he willing or not.

When Jo picked the necklace, he heard a seductive and eerie voice rang out inside his head.

"Cursed Amulet finally found the new host, hehe. Good luck human."

Jo instantly halted his movements. He stared at the smelly necklace and said, "You are just kidding, right?"

Before he could throw the necklace, he stunned by what he saw. A vast blue sky and white clouds. He looked around and confirmed that he was stood on the cloud.

"You are just kidding, right?" Jo said that phrase again with bitter tone.

"Esteemed Host. Please survive in this world for 30 days. If host success, host will get a random gift." The eerie voice rang again.

Jo obviously stunned. When he heard the eerie voice words, he instantly thought about survival novel that he read before.

He looked at his palms, but he did not find the cursed amulet.

He drew a deep breath. He really hoped that this strange occurrence would not lead to the terror infinity-like world. He dismissed his pessimistic thoughts and started to examine the cloud. It was not funny to free fall from this place.

After several hours walking straight, he finally found a settlement. When he entered the settlement, no one noticed him as outsider. Thanks to his clothes. Just formal blue shirt and black trousers.

Hearing the surrounding for a while, he realized that the citizens were speaking in English.

"Thanks God. I choose to learn English before." He almost crying when he could understand them. Communication was the best way to connect with others.

He looked around and found beautiful lady. He approached her and asked, "Excuse me, beautiful lady. Can I ask you something?"

When she turned her head, he stunned by her holy beauty. He was smitten in instant.

"Sure." She smiled kindly.

"Can you tell me about this city?" Jo asked with his professional tone.

"Sure. This city is called Sky Cloud City. As the name implies, this city is floating on the sky. This city other name is angel city, because majority of people who reside here is angel. It is quite rare to find human here." she told him.

"Sky Cloud City? Oh the rude of me. My name is Jo. If you want, can you tell me your name, beautiful lady?" Jo asked. He indeed slightly rude. But the lady seems to be okay with that.

She smiled and said, "It doesn't matter. My name is Eleanor De Gabriel. You can call me Ela..."

Her words was interrupted by several angel descended on the Ela back.

"Report to City Lord. The last human alliance stronghold was breached. Human lost their rights to be first grade race."

Not long after Jo heard the news, he was ended up in the jail. From what he heard and his treatment, this world greatly influenced by caste system. After the human race failed to defend their self, human race were demoted to second grade race.

Flashback...

Jo face instantly paled when he heard the news. Although he didn't know anything about this world's problem, he knew the implications of the news he heard.

Instantly, he felt someone pointing a sword on his neck.

-Fuck!- He wanted to curse, but he knew that he would get in the worst predicament.

He smiled meekly and lifted his arms. Ela giggled at him and commanded her subordinate to jailed him.

Flashback end...

Jo let out a sigh.

"Am I really not lucky?" he lamented. He really envy the protagonist of the easy novel. Plot Armor and protagonist aura, these two things really made him envy.

Suddenly the jail was opened. A bewitching angel with black wing entered the jail.

"You stupid fallen. How can you questioning the God decree? Fool!"

Jo heard someone shouted. He focused on the black winged angel again. Her hair was long and shiny black. Her face indeed bewitching, any man including himself couldn't defend against her charm. And the last was her body. Voluptuous and sexy. She was perfect. If he had enough strength, he would kidnap her.

While he admiring her beautiful body, she suddenly turned her head and smiled at him. Her bewitching smile successfully captured his heart. Jo gulped but didn't avert his gaze. She slowly approached him and hold his chin.

"You seem very delicious, young human. This time, this pitiful lady want to extract your life essence. In exchange, this pitiful lady will give you the most pleasure you ever feel."

The black winged angel looked at Jo eyes with her purplish irises. Her eyes emitted strange glow and she successfully controlled Jo's mind. She confirmed her mind controlling spell was effective, and smiled wickedly.

"Human, sorry. I need to get stronger. I hope you don't resent me."

"Before I absorb your essence, I will tell you my name. My name's Julia Van Arielle. Nice to meet you."

Julia opened her mouth and bite Jo's neck. Jo just stood quietly without any reaction. Bit by bit, his blood was swallowed by Julia.

In other side, inside Jo inner world...

Jo stood still in front of a stele. He was in trance after reading the stele contents.

"Sovereign shall reign the freedom!"

Strange thing started to happen. His blood flow was stopped completely. Julia surprised, she tried to absorb again, but her sucking force was unable to draw Jo blood.

"In the name of the ancient deity, I command you to be my eternal slave"

Strange yet mighty voice out from Jo mouth. It was so ancient, even Julia stunned by his voice. When she wanted to continue her meal, her body stopped. Her body stay still like bound by invisible chain.

She wanted to struggle, she wanted to shout, but her body just stood still without any movement. Then she saw the young man hand lifted up and touched her head.

"Are you not willing?" The ancient voice rang again.

She struggled hard, but her head was nodded without her permission. She felt despair instantly after saw strange rune entered her soul realm and branded her soul.

With her submission, her spell was also broke. Jo back to himself and not long after, he slumped on the floor.
