“You can tell it’s from there by its taste?” Rusty looked impressed.

“I wish.” Nate didn’t feel like bullshitting, although he might have a few hours ago. “I saw the empty carton on the bench when we left.”

“Your friend Amy is very thoughtful.” Rusty took a few more sips.

“You don’t know the half of it,” Nate muttered.

Outside, the light was fading quickly, leaving the inside of the hut illuminated by the flames from the fire. Nate stretched and smiled. He’d always enjoyed sitting by wood burners and soaking up the heat. Although the day had been warm, the temperature was dropping as night fell.

“This is nice,” Rusty said. He adjusted his blanket and lay down, propping himself up on an elbow. The blanket slipped off one shoulder, revealing beautiful tawny skin.
