Spidrid (II)

(I have started a new work called "Mage vs. Modern Society," I just felt like writing something on that concept, so I did. I might not update a lot on that book because I am working on several others right now, but I will update more. If you would like, go check it out and give me your thoughts!)

"Are you going to answer my questions? Or would you rather die?"

*

Panic etched itself across Spidrid's face. His hex eyes all displayed the same image, an image of a man covered in pure unrelenting power.

'No! I-I can't die here! I have to run... I need to leave!'

Spidrid leaps off the wall, tearing the spine out of his abdomen, leaving a gaping hole. The group of raiders attempt to intercept him only to be torn apart by his claws.

"Where do you think you're going!? Come back here!"

*Snatch*

Sung-ho grabs hold of his claw and spines him around like a wind up toy. Spidrid is desperately trying to free himself from the clutches of death but to no avail.

*Slam*

The raiders watched Sung-ho man handle a monster that once massacred dozens of raiders. The desperate flailing of Spidrid's limbs made several of them laugh.

Spidrid is thrown into the wall. Shocked looks spread throughout the whole cave as gasps of awe resound from a group of swordsmen.

Mark has a hard time believing what he is seeing, the monster that once almost killed him, was being utterly defeated by a little known raider.

'This is insanity...Just what is he!?'

The force of the impact stunned his limbs and stunted his breathing. Spidrid vomits blood as he attempts to regain control of his body.

"Human, w-what are you!?"

Sung-ho smiles a devilish grin as he speaks bone chilling words.

"I am the strongest."

Spidrid laughs at his words. He already knew he was the strongest, he didn't need to tell him. He couldn't help containing his laughter at such a cheesy line.

"Get it over with. Just kill me, human!"

*Slam*

One punch. One punch was all it took to finish off Spidrid. His head was flattened from the attack, there was no way he survived.

The dungeon begins to shake as Spidrid's heart stops beating. The roof starts to collapse on the raiders below, killing several who weren't paying attention. The wall begins to crumble and turn to dust as an overwhelming mass of mana flies out of the dungeon.

"Everyone! Get out of here!"

Not everyone understood the words but everyone knew what he was trying to say. Sung-ho dashes over and picks Mark off the ground.

"You're strong, very strong! I'm glad the world has you."

Sung-ho smiles as he jumps through the closing dungeon door.

*

Reporters and ambulances line the surrounding area outside the dungeon. Everyone is waiting for them to exit the dungeon, faces lined with anticipation and hope are numerous in the crowd of vehicles and people.

A large mass of mana flies over the heads over all the reports and strikes an East Asian woman behind them, knocking her unconscious. She falls to the ground with sweat dripping down her face.

"Everyone's coming out!"

One reporter shouts as all eyes become fixated on the dungeon door.

An army of raiders walk out the door, carrying wounded and dead bodies. Blood is drench on their clothes and armor and amazement is still residing on their faces.

"They all look so amazed! But, why?"

Sung-ho flies out of the dungeon with Mark on his back and lands right next to an ambulance.

Sung-ho pulls a stretcher out of the back and desperately tries to explain what happened.

"Mark...uhh...hurt...uhh...him help?"

The EMT understood what he meant and loaded Mark into the back of the ambulance. He speeds off into the distance.

"Miss, miss! Are you okay!?"

Sung-ho hears a commotion to his left and decides to investigate. Hye-eun is collapsed on the ground, her heart beating rapidly, her skin hot to the touch. EMT's attempt to load her into a stretcher as they burn their hands because of the heat her body is emitting.

'Hye-eun!'

Sung-ho couldn't control himself. He charges towards her and yanks her into the back of an ambulance.

"Now, hospital!"

Sung-ho exclaimed with broken English. The EMT's obey his command and drive off as Sung-ho holds Hye-eun's scorching body in his hands. His skin is burning from the heat but he is too full of adrenaline to feel the pain.

**

The whole drive only takes around five minutes because of a police escort. There were little cars moving on the road because everyone was fixated on tvs and their phone screens hoping to not see their favorite raiders on the deceased list.

"Nngghh! S-Sung-ho?"

Hye-eun opened her eyes to see Sung-ho with flushed red eyes. He had been crying.

"Why were you crying? Were you worried about me?"

"Yes, and your body was burning up and I'm covered in burns."

Hye-eun gasps as she pushes off of him. She meticulously inspects his arms and pokes his burns.

"Oww! You moth-"

Hye-eun covers his mouth.

"That word is forbidden!"

Sung-ho laughs in agony as she continues to poke and prod his burns.

*

Sung-ho hears the ambulance door open behind him as EMTs rush in to grab Hye-eun. They see her bullying and harassing Sung-ho. An EMT knocks on the side of the vehicle and motions towards Hye-eun.

"Go ahead and follow them."

Hye-eun nods her head and reluctantly steps out of the ambulance as Sung-ho follows them inside. He goes to reception and shows his burns, they direct him towards the Raider Wing where all the raiders are being treated by professional healers.

"Alright. Guess I'll get healed then get some food."
