Starship Troopers: Rise of a new Faction

Russia, Moscow 2023

Inside a cheap run down building a group of men in black stealth outfits are preparing for an operation that if not done right will spark World War 3. The group consists of 24 men staring at a brown board currently going over the plan one last time.Their operation is to assassinate the President of Russia and all members of the upper leadership crippling the war hungry faction and letting a more Democratic faction come to power.

"Alright we are going to break up into four teams alpha team you have the president bravo,charlie,and delta you have upper leadership" Said General Shepherd over the video transmission

"Yes sir" Said the men

"Alright it's time to move out and Zod your new sniper is all ready for you" Alpha team leader Rusk spoke

Sitting in the back of the room Zod stood up and walked to the arsenal. Inside the other snipers in the teams are checking their gear as he enters one of them says

"Hey Zod your sniper is over in the black case the password is 96024"

"Thanks" Zod said

Grabbing the case and opening it is a beautiful all black Barrett M82 with an extended magazine ,red dot scope,and a suppressor. After checking the equipment he put it back in the case and walked out to join with the rest of the alpha team.

Joining up at the cars he gets in the back seat and then they drive off. Driving about 20 minutes they finally pull over so Zod can get a sniper position that he spotted two weeks ago when they started the plan to scope out the place.

Getting up to the roof of the Alexander Garden he opens the sniper case and gets ready for the team to be in position

"Ok the presidential convoy is on the way after Putin gets out and walks to the consort Zod you Ice him the rest of us will handle the ground forces" said the team leader over the comms

10 minutes later

As I listen to ice spice the convoy arrives I turn off the music as the team ready's up to go. The convoy stops the secret service steps out first to check the perimeter soon I see him and all his bald glory it's hard to believe he once fought a bear. I could have shot him now but General Shepherd had said to wait for him to shack hands with the composer and smile at the media reporters there for a more dramatic effect.

All i can say is that this plan reminds me of the movie "London has fallen". Focusing on the task at hand. I aim down my sights waiting patiently for the moment.

'Come on Smile you bastard..got you' Zod thought

"Boom"

A .50 cal round flies through the air instantly hitting him in the head exploding it like a watermelon has blood and brains fall all over the floor and the composer. The Secret Service scrambles just for them to get gunned down by the rest of the alpha team.

After taking a couple sniper shots to cover the teams retreat.

I also retreat run downstairs and out the back door the car pulls up and i hop in the back seat as we drive off to the extraction point. As in the background all you can hear is sirens whizzing by.

After driving for 5 hours avoiding all police and military checkpoints we arrive in a forest waiting for extraction.An hour later a helicopter appears in the sky and lands walking out General Shepherd and a team of special operatives under his command.

"You boys have done American Proud" he says "when the future Generations look at your military records and they see what you did this day what they'll have is pride, pride to be the same Countryman as you"

"Thank you Sir" we say

" But like I said that's for the future generations to know" he says as we look at him with confusion

General Shepherd then turns around and nods at the special operatives as he does they start pointing their Rifles at us and start opening fire. Not expecting our allies to attack the team had our guards down before we could react everyone was already hit bleeding out all I could think of is to ask why.

"Why" he says

"Simple the country needs Heroes sometimes we need live ones and sometimes we need dead ones you just happen to be the latter" as he points his Desert Eagle at me and opens fire

Bang bang

"Clean this up and let's get out of here" he says

It was the last thing I hear before my conscience slowly Fades away all I could think of is how funny it was that I joined the military I thought I'd do my country proud I'd be an American hero. At only 26 I became a member of one of the most elite teams in the American Military only to be gunned down about those very comrades I trusted.

I can only hope that this mission did good for the world.

As I open my eyes I see that I am in a pure white room with golden steps that lead up to a throne where a being that I cannot comprehend sits looking down on me.

"Hello there" the being says

I look up and what I assume to be a him from the Voice and ask

"Hello sir are you God?"

" I am indeed a god, the god of reincarnation to be specific He says
