"Boom" the door slammed open and in came the panting father and his wheezing son tightly in his arms. Every eye turned towards him as he ran, no his feet weren't touching the ground at all with that speed he was running at. The doctors quickly rushed towards them and carefully took the child from his father's grasp. "Please, pant, help him..." The man crumpled down with fatigue and soon his breathing slowed and slowed. Then stopped.

14 years later in a different reality...

"Wake up, wake up Colin! It's time for the ceremony!"

"Mum, 5 more minutes, I'm still tired... Wait the ceremony? Wait for me!"

Colin jumped out of bed, and speedily put on the clothes his mum had laid out for him last night. Today was the day and he knew it because today was the ceremony of awakening. This was when all 14-year-olds would be able to find out what their power was. 4 years ago on this very day, was when he first came to this world. Even though he could not remember what life was before he came into this magical world. He knew that destiny had chosen this path for him.

When he first came here he had known nothing, but life is life and you learn things. Here in Kyn was a whole new reality, to survive and earn money, you would have to beat monsters in dungeons and level up. But to beat these dungeons, each user or person had a unique power that was either used for support, offence or defence. And there was weapons and equipment as well. There are 6 classes of powers. It goes from the weakest class E to the strongest class S. Getting an S-class power is considered lucky among the lucky. Weapons were also ranked the same way. But why would you want to level and cultivate yourself, people are treated differently depending on their level of achievement. A basic level user and an intermediate level user are treated differently. One could get a discount on meals and one could not even get to eat meals that much. This was a world of fighting monsters to level up.

Colin sighed, he was anxious. What happened if he got a really bad power, would his family be humiliated? Would his mum be disappointed? His blood-red eyes flickered with excitement and fear. Shouldn't worry anymore, once it was over it would be over. "Colin quickly, we will be late." His mum's piercing voice sounded in Colin's ears making them ring afterwards. Colin grabbed his bag and started walking towards Jules Intermediate School. There he would be able to find out what power he would obtain.

"Maybe I should just stop wondering, It'll just get more nerve-racking." But thoughts of getting an E-class power still lingered in his mind making him tremble. He paced his footsteps a bit faster, curiosity got the best of him, he wanted to know what he'd get. The anxiety building up in him was destroying his insides. Not wanting to hold back anymore, he started to sprint leaving his mother behind.

When he got there, he saw waves and crowds of people lining up to test themselves. How were there so many 14-year-olds in this town! Using his very useful line-cutting skills, he managed to get to the front of the line in less than 10 minutes. It was his turn now, Colin took a deep breath and slowly walked towards the stage. He looked at the glowing stone in the centre. This was it. This stone would decide his life path, it would decide how he got treated, it would decide life or death.

Fate was very unfair sometimes, the person before him had gotten an E-class power. House-cleaning is that even a power. What happens if he got that as well. He started to edge backwards off the stage. "No, I can't run away now!" He gave himself a solemn shout.

Pushing back the thought of running away, Colin closed his red eyes and put his palm on the rock. It glowed red then blue then green then purple, it glowed different colours every second as if it was choosing a power. It stopped on a weird pale white colour. An image suddenly appeared in front of his eyes. Colin gasped loudly when he saw what was on there.

It was an S-class power, no there were two S-class powers! But he had never seen anything like it before. On the image, it showed himself floating with information on it.

Two powers were enough to take in, but 2 S-class powers? This was insane. Even though the crowd of people didn't know what S-class powers he had gotten but they all still went silent in shock. This was an unbelievable sight!

Colin gaped at the information in front of him for a very long time until a voice snapped him back into reality. "Hello I am from Clune Advanced School and would like you to join us here, there are benefits to the deal. You will get all the resources you need and an extra 100 000 school coins."

Colin was so shocked, he stood frozen on the spot. Of course, he would accept this deal. "I-i of co... "Wait," a strong male voice sounded through the crowds, he ran towards Colin holding a scroll. The man was tall and looked well-built. When he came to Colin, Colin found out how tall he was, a giant! "I have a better deal, if you would like to come to Rinne Advanced School, you could get all the resources you need, an extra 50 000 coins for outside of school use. Also, you will obtain any one weapon you would like," he panted. Even though Clune gave more school coins, Colin was sure that a free weapon, any weapon he liked would be way better.

A thought suddenly popped up in his head. "Why are you so desperate for me to go to your schools?" He asked curiously at the two inviters. They looked at him with a 'are you dumb' look in their eyes and both said at the same time, "Because you awakened two S-class powers!" Colin slapped himself in the head, then he signed the brightly decorated scroll that the man was holding out. From now on, he was an official student of Rinne Advanced School!
