I understood my position

I issued a warning to the summoned heroes. Pfffttt…..such a joke. They are the same age as me and would have been my classmates if I attended school. But now they are just acquaintances.

I reported back to the guild and claimed my rewards. I bought some stuff and went back to Fay's place. I sent Aera and Aegis back to stand-by mode.

When I opened the door, "I am home", I said that instinctively. That was a grave mistake.

After that, my current position is questionable.

I am made to sit with in seiza on a rough washboard. The washboard is big enough for me to sit on. And it is hard. My legs are about to give up. Because my <Spirit > has been forcefully nullified. My body is back to a normal human's.

"Master, where were you?" (Hazel)

Sitting in front of me is a panel of women. Hazel, Aura, Eden and Fay are sitting on the sofa while I am on the washboard.

"Umm…. I was up early today so I went for a walk."

It's the truth.

"Then who was the woman sleeping on the sofa? I believe you two slept together the whole night." (Aura)

"My bad for not mentioning this earlier. It happened right after we came out of the dimension gate. When you all went to sleep, I saw a stray planet on a collision course with our ship. So I destroyed the planet with <Spirit >. But it resonated with my <Spirit > and accepted me as its master. The woman you saw is actually the planet spirit itself."

I look an oaf trying to persuade people into believing a nonsensical story.

They are giving me cold looks as I predicted.

"I knew you would doubt me. How about we ask the person in question? Where is she by the way?"

I had not seen the planet spirit since my arrival. Where did she go? Did they send her away?

"She is taking a bath. She said that she hadn't had a bath in a while." (Fay)

Fay sighs as she says that. A planet spirit taking a bath, I can't imagine.

"Then, why did you use your mana? We felt the surge even from here." (Hazel)

"To intimidate some people. Fay, I went and met your father. I didn't introduce myself but he clearly saw who I am. Maybe he will try to search for me."

At this, Fay becomes quite angry. She started lecturing me. Eden became bored watching me get a sermon so Hazel, Aura and Eden left to take a walk outside.

Fay normally is calm but when she loses it, her sermons will be quite long. I braced myself for the hour long sermon and it was torture.

(Even when you are all powerful, you still have a weakness.)

Don't salt my wounds. Ah…my feet are numb. I try to stand up but tumble down. I hold the sofa and sit on it before my legs gave out.

(Your body has improved due to your continuous use of <Spirit >. But when you are made to go through that kind of torture, even the toughest of men give out. This torture technique is very useful no matter your species.)

Stop bragging about the torture technique. I need to rest for a bit.

I lay down on the sofa. I am feeling sleepy. Why is it that my body feels heavy?

(You always used <Spirit > to reinforce yourself. But you were made to cancel that. Meaning, your body encountered the atmosphere for the first time. Your immune system became lax because it didn't have to work. So now everything came crashing down. In short, you are sick.)

Ughhh….my body is hurting. My throat is dry. My head is throbbing. It has been a while since I last fell sick.

I can't breathe, my tongue feels weird. My taste is gone.

System, how high is my temperature?

(Your current body temperature is 39 degrees Celsius. It will take a while for you to actually heal. I will return your heart to you.)

I felt my chest throbbing again. It has been a while since I felt my heart throb. It's beating faster. Maybe to circulate the blood.

(Take a rest. You can't stay awake anyway, right?)

Yes. My eyelids are heavy. Keeping them open is taking more energy than normal. My sense of time has distorted.

(It has only been five minutes since that washboard thing happened.)

Ahh….so I am sensing a slower flow of time. No use, my head is spinning. I black out right there.

◆◆◆◆◆

My hazy consciousness is coming back. I don't know how long was I knocked out. I feel something cold on my cheeks. It's nice and cool.

My body feels heavy but my head is resting on something soft.

I remember that I fell asleep on the sofa. With my back facing up. How can I feel something under my head?

I try to move my hand but it isn't moving. I gather energy to open my eyelids.

"Master, are you awake?"

I think it was Hazel. I am only seeing blurry silhouettes.

"Hazel?"

"Yes, master. I am here." (Hazel)

My hair was being brushed. Her hand was colder than me. It felt nice when she touched my forehead.

"Rest master. You still need rest."

At her words, I fell asleep again. More like, I couldn't stay awake anymore. What will be will be. I will deal with it after my body is back to normal.
