Shadow of Leaves

The moon shone brilliantly in the night sky above Copper City. Its bustling streets and flickering lights as life thrived within its massive communities. Being that this massive city was the main hub for raw and processed goods and resources and all kinds of information, it just made sense that even in the night it bustled with life. Food trucks on the streets selling all kinds of nighttime munchies to satisfy overnight business people or just regular night owls. 

People walking along the sidewalks, cars passing by with their lights illuminating the dim streets that had soft orange light from the street lamps. Alleyways with dumpsters and empty boxes, the occasional rat or cockroach scuttling across the pavement. A few homeless city dwellers resting in their tents in the alleys, parks, and sidewalks.

The usual sounds of the city showing the life of the city as a whole.

However..... while a place such as Copper city may have plenty of sights and wonders to take in and add to the dreams. It also has its fair share of dark shadows drenched with dread and fear to fuel the nightmares of many. Unfortunately with this night comes an unfortunate event to add another to the ever growing wound of the city.

Within a section of the city just leading off from a somewhat big name section of the city, into dark and decrepit alleyways and slums a blurred figure rushes through the slightly crumbled walls and pavement.

Frantically searching for a way out of the labyrinth it has found itself in. The figure wore a plain worn gray hoodie with a pair of worn down jeans and old striped sneakers. 

The figure leaning against a wall. A breath can be seen in the chilled night air. Their breathing seemed to be uneven, as they clutched their chest.

They quickly looked around trying to calm down. Then began to slowly step into the crummy alleyway.

Just then multiple gunshots go off as a shower of bullets rip through the alleys stone walls. The hooded figure quickly jumps out of the bullet's path, but as they do so one of the bullets ricochets upon the edge of a dumpster and grazes their leg.

Falling over the figure collapses but manages to roll behind a pile of metal doors on the side of the alley. They clenched their leg where the bullet grazed them, the wound began to close slowly. They lifted their heads as they could hear footsteps coming into the alleyway.

A lean cloaked figure walks into the alley's grimy light. Brandishing twin revolvers, both of which were an intense dark blue color, with glowing white details. the hammers on both weapons were cocked back and ready to fire. The cloaked figure seeming to carefully survey the area and then continues moving.

The figure behind the doors relaxes and pulls down their hood and leans on the doors behind them. The clouds shift in the midnight sky as the moonlight spills into the alleyway and shines past the doors and upon the figure. 

A young woman with pure snow white hair that reached her shoulders. With gentle pure white bunny ears on the top of her head popped up as the hood fell away. Her eyes a beautiful autumn brown, the skin of her face was a light peach color.

She checked her leg and saw that her injury had completely healed. She slowly sat down while still leaning against the doors. Suddenly there was gunfire as black bullets ricocheted off of the ground and one of the doors straight for her.

She dives out of the way, and the bullets rip through the metal doors and sink into the brick wall behind them. 

The young woman rolls a few feet before getting up and taking a defensive stance low to the ground.

"Deci, you know you don't have to do this. you don't have to follow their orders" She says to the figure.

"Now you know I can't disobey, no matter what they will find us and they can do what they want. And besides..." The cloaked figure named Deci began.

"Aside from the abilities that he has, which was what caught their interest in the first place. Your ability as well has their interest" They say to the woman and they raise the revolver in their right hand aimed right at her leg.

"You know I would do anything for you both, but against the organization there isn't anything any of us can do. At least not until the group fulfills their objective and takes Asther down" Deci continues

"And to do that we need your ability and His abilities, so please come back quietly. I dont want to hurt you any further.... Miri '' Deci finishes as she continues to hold her aim at her leg.

Miri's brown eyes glow as she activates her ability. In order to not let her try anything, Deci fires at her leg. However the bullet somehow is reflected back and grazes their cheek and tears their hood to reveal their face. 

Long black air that is pinned up neatly into a roll. Her eyes a sharp dull lime green, her skin pale white. While wearing a high tech lense that doubles as a coms device.

"Fuck... you were able to start up before I fired. You've gotten faster, Miri" Deci said with a smile.

*Now that Deci has her full guard up, it will be hard to try anything on her* Miri thought to herself as she twitched her bunny ears and then detected something underground.

*It's my only chance. generate energy barrage and enhanced strength by five* she thinks to herself as her body begins to glow as orbs of energy begin to form around her and they shoot fast towards Deci.

Decie dodges with ease as she fires off 5 rounds at Miri, just as she creates more orbs and they shoot forwards and blow up the walls the debris block the bullets and create a smoke screen.

Decie waits a few moments as the dust clears. Seeing the damage that has just occurred and noticing a big hole in the ground. She approaches cautiously with one revolver aimed and ready to fire. She sees that its a large hole in the city sewer system, and she smiles as she puts her revolvers away.

"Well played little Bunny rabbit, well played."
