CH 9 GANG TOGETHER

RAYS POV

It took us the rest of the week to buy all the school supplies and to unpack our stuff. Jane came with me the first day but then she some family things to do and second her family was angry with her that she had been spending time with me. I had a fear sooner or later jane would start hating me.

But today was the last day of summer vacation Hope was binge watching stranger things while I went outside visit some of my favourite place in town. I went to the oakwood forest the only place I go for peace and quiet away from the bullies especially. I had a secret bunker there which was there during WWI and anyone who knows about it does not exist. Not even Hope knows about this place this is where I get some me-time. The bunker was in the exact way I left it two years ago. I lay there thinking about thing changing I somehow fall asleep.

I wake up to find that it 6 pm and I leave the oakwood forest while I leave I notice a red scarf at the entrance. But I ignored the scarf thinking it was some campers lost scarf

I went through the iron bridge to the stool as I got in I saw some old faces it was Harry and Sue along with Jane was sitting in a booth. Harry and sue were sucking each other faces out while Jane just kept her focus off of it she was the third wheel between them. I went up to them after placing my order

ME: Can I join you guys?

As I asked them jane saw me and by the look, she was relieved but the faces of Harry and Sue looked like they saw a ghost tey didn't smile but they nodded at me so I sat near the red-headed girl (Jane ) who was still smiling at me happily there was a minute of silence the couple was looking at how much I had changed.

Jane: I was looking at him like this when I first saw him so it's completely natural to stare

Jane broke the tension between us.

Harry: So you're here for a visit?

Me: No I just moved here with Hope

Sue: You have changed more than Harry changed

Me: Thanks for reminding me that

Jane chuckles at my reply

Harry: I am so sorry man I left you when you needed me the most 2 years ago I am really sorry for making you feel alone at that time

Sue: Me too I am sorry

Jane: Again I am sorry too

Me: guys stop I forgave you guys ages ago no tension between us. So how are you guys

That night we hanged out like old-time we made jokes ate burgers moreover we bonded as strong friends after two years of exile the gang was back together. Today we were protected by the warmth of our friendship we were happy and we didn't care for what was going to happen tomorrow, because by tomorrow Silverton would change for the good or ...............…. Worse?
