Chapter 1The White Figure Girl

It all started when me and my parents moved to a new home in Chicago. It was a breezy day, and most of the people I saw looked nice. While pulling up to the driveway, I took a glance of a white figure from the attic window that was staring back at me. I believed it was just a trick of the mind. As I entered the large cobweb filled home, I felt a big rush of wind blowing towards me. I didn't think too much about it, I just said to myself, "It's just the wind", while shutting the door behind me. When heading upstairs with my box of clothes and books, I felt another breeze, but much colder, as if someone was pouring ice in my back. I walked faster and down the hallway to my bedroom. I didn't like how it looked because it reminded me of a haunted nursery room from a scary movie I had seen. I unpacked my clothes into my dresser and began to put away my books on the bookshelf in the corner. While putting the last book at the top of the shelf, my hand knocked something down. It was cold and metal like, I looked at the ground to pick up what seemed to be an old, antique key. I put the key in my pocket and scanned over my room. My room was finished because the furniture was already prepared with the house, although the outside could use a little touch up. I headed back downstairs to see if my parents needed help with the other luggage. They asked me to take a few boxes to the attic, which was not too far from outside my room. I carried the boxes up towards the attic and sat the boxes down on the floor. I was too short to reach the string, so I jumped and pulled the hatch down. After extending the latter and securing it in place, I finally lifted the boxes up and carried them up. As I entered the attic, I sat the boxes in a corner and decided to look around. I was amazed at how interesting it looked. It was like a whole room. There was a bed, a dresser, a powder table, and a desk…but the chair wasn't an ordinary chair. It was a wheelchair. But if the people who lived here before had a wheelchair, wouldn't it be important to take it with them…unless something or someone was keeping them from taking it or throwing it out. And why would it be in the attic? I sat the boxes down in an empty corner, then I walked towards the dresser and opened the top drawer. I saw a metal box that was locked, but it looked very worn down and withered. I picked it up and scanned the box, then something came to mind. The key! I took the key from my pocket and tried it on the lock. It unlocked! I slowly began to open the box, until I was stopped by a small whisper. It kept repeating those words over and over again saying, "Open Me, OPEN Me, ¡OPEN ME!" It got louder and louder. I didn't know what to do, so I did something that I truly regret. I opened it. I was shocked and scared at what I saw in the box. I wanted to call my parents, but I just couldn't speak. It was a blood-stained knife. You might be wondering, "Why do you think it's blood?". I know it's blood! It had a stench of rotten meat and who would try to hide a knife in a locked box for no reason. I felt a light tap on my shoulder, then a cold shiver ran down my spine. I slowly turned around and saw something very frightening. It was a white figure sitting in the wheelchair. It appeared to have long black hair and dark eyes. The skin was very pale and she had no emotion. She spoke in a low wretched voice like an old witch you would see in a movie. She said, "Help me.", in her wretched voice, but sounded very sad and pitiful. I began to feel bad, although I was still scared. I looked at her neck and noticed a deep scar. I asked her what she wanted from me. After a long pause, she said, "Tell them, tell them my story.", while pointing toward her desk. I looked at her and at the desk, then slowly walked toward the desk. I found what appeared to be some type of diary, it must have belong to her. I read it, and was brought to tears. I felt even more bad for her. It read, "July 10th, I just came home from the hospital, an 18-wheeler hit our car while driving home from the store. My parents were forever gone, and my legs are gone, my heart is empty, and everything is just gone!…I don't think I could live in this cruel world, I can't stand it, it hurts to be all alone. I will join them, at least it won't hurt me anymore, we will be reunited again." I understood her pain for some reason. She just did not want to be alone, she was heartbroken by her parents death, and lost her ability to walk on her own, so she took her own life in hopes of joining her parents again. I cried even more. I turned back to her and told her, "I will not let you down…I will tell everyone. I left the attic and went to my room. I was shocked at everything. I didn't know exactly what to do, until something popped in my head again. I could make a pod cast by telling her story from using the info from her diary. It took about an hour and a half to get through all the recording. After I posted it, it people instantly wanted to hear it. They never knew about her accident, but were very interested and empathetic in the comments. I ran to the attic to show her. She listened quite thoroughly and even smiled a little, then looked at me and said, "Thank you, I will never forget your kindness." Then she disappeared. It all happened when I was 15 years old, and now I am 25. She never showed herself again, I believed she was truly satisfied with my help, and although I was scared, I felt I did the right thing.

QT: Finding Meaning

*** My health has been very poor this year alongside loosing my mother-in-law and cat so I'm sorry but this will be rewritten and finished when I'm well, I'm doing it all offline in my rare creative moments, hopefully with a more mature touch *** [WARNING: Mature Themes (smut, violence, murder, suicide, domestic violence, etc.)] --------- Waking up naked and alone with a murderer, without a single memory, she relies on System to understand her existence in another person's body. --------- Still don't know if you should read me? Here's a quick breakdown to help you make up your mind if this novel is right for you: This is my own twist on the QuickTransmigration System genre, giving it a more 'spiritual' twist. It explores sensitive themes throughout each arc and I will do my best to give trigger warnings at the start of chapters containing them. It is written in the first person and revolves around a female lead (FL). This is a weak-to-strong novel, she will have heavy flaws and make repeated mistakes and seem generally weak at the start, bear with her as she grows. Romance is a heavy theme within the story that contains a lot of smut, with more than one character. However, there is only one male lead in the end. The story is less about fluffy romance, instead, it's a journey of growth and self-discovery, revolving around the main storyline. Although, each Arc will have its own separate storyline that will have an impact on the main storyline with both new and reoccurring characters (so skipping arcs is not advised). I have currently written the rough drafts for four arcs at the point of writing this: 1. Ghosts & Guns 2. How do you keep a child alive in the Zombie Apocalypse? 3. Abducted by Aliens 4. Freed by the Fae Folk 5. .... --------- --------- Cover Art made by myself, using nightcafe AI Art, check out my page, I'm attempting to make novel art and character art for each arc: https://creator.nightcafe.studio/u/Raychbunni

Adaptation

Pepper writes stories that span the gamut from humorous to heartfelt, however the common theme is crossing boundaries. Pepper's unique stories often tackle taboo topics such as mental illness and homelessness. Readers will find themselves questioning their own sense of right and wrong, attraction and desire. In addition to writing, the author is also an artist, an introverted recluse, a self proclaimed empath and a foodie. Pepper Pace can be contacted at: pepperpace.author@yahoo.com Carmella was still a teen when the Motherships first appeared dotting the skies over the Earth. For years the world tried to normalize while the silent Motherships hovered. And then THEY arrived, promising that they meant no harm. But within ten years eighty percent of the world’s population would be wiped out. Including everyone that Carmella loved. The ‘blobs’ took those that survived to another planet called Earth Two. But Carmella was an Earthling and she would kill the hated monsters that had destroyed her world before she would allow them to take her. Carmella settled into a lonely existence on the now desolate earth—all alone except for her wolf. And then she sees it hiding, watching her—maybe to capture her and remove her from the only thing that she can still call her own--her world. But Bilal is not like the other Centaurians. He is fully aware that he will never be like the humans that he’s grown up with. Earth is the only home he knows and he feels that he is just as much an Earthling as any human. Shunned by his own kind, Bilal travels the Earth trying to capture an essence of the life that he could never be a part of and a world that would never accept him. When he sees the black woman living all alone his curiosity gets the best of him. He cannot stop himself from watching her, and secretly growing more attached to the human. Bilal’s quest to become human brings him to a decision that will forever change the course of human-kind. In an attempt to ease the woman's loneliness--or perhaps a need to recreate himself, Bilal impregnates the woman with his Alien DNA.

Fight, Flight, or Freeze: The Healer's Story

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wake up in a body that wasn't yours? A much, much younger body? I can't say that I had ever given it much thought. That was until one night when a patient entered the ER where I was working at and shot me point blank in the head. You know, if he wanted a second opinion, all he had to do was ask. But that's besides the point... Some how, some way, I work up in a strange hospital with a woman that looked suspiciously like my mother holding my hand and crying. Over joyed to see her, it took me a few minutes to realize that I was no longer the 25 year old, successful doctor at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the world. Nope, I was a 6 year old girl that for a moment... wanted her mother. When the apocalypse comes, it is everyone for themselves. I have three choices: do I fight for what I want? Will I run away and hide, or will I freeze when the demons of my past come back to haunt me? You might know me as the Healer, but this is my story to tell. ------ Fight, Flight, or Freeze is the second novel in the Rebirth in the Apocalypse series, this time featuring the Healer: Wang Tian Mu and her men. You won't have to read the first one to be able to understand this one, and she is not going to stay a child for the whole thing. Li Dai Lu and her guys will be popping in occasionally, but this is strictly Wang Tian Mu's story! I hope you enjoy! The Rebirth of SOPHIA GREEN

COMPLETED For nearly 30 years of existence, she had been in a wheelchair, suffering from polio since childhood. While her freedom of movement had been diminished, the activity her brain had outstripped everyone. Unable to join in the rough of other children, she had spent all her lifetime reading, which gave her exceptional knowledge. She accomplished many outstanding achievements across several fields and became a famous Science Professor. Her life changed forever when she was caught in a suspicious fire in her lab. Rebirth occurred and when she comes back to life, she finds she is now in the body of another Sophia Green, a teenage high school bully. Meanwhile, Albert Pearson, the first heir of the richest family around the country who hid his true identity becoming an assistant of Sophia Green has gone crazy after hearing the news of Sophia's death. He went back to his family and took advantage of his status to keep searching for the truth of that fire. And one day he met a teenage girl whose name was Sophia Green... Fate changes between them as they are seeking the truth behind her death! Could he recognize Sophia and confess his feelings? Special Note: If you are looking for a sweet contemporary-romance genre, this novel doesn't have that kind of plot. Most plots of my novel talk about mystery, suspense, and a slice of life. Often FL starts a slow pace of development, from weak to strong. Cover Created by: Weilan

Breakaway

When not writing or doing book covers, Tatiana Vila can be found binge-watching series, painting cool abstract stuff, eating way too many candies, and fantasizing about interior design makeovers. Her motto: let the mind run wild. Check out some of her cool book cover designs at her website: www.viladesign.net Ice Queen. That's what everyone calls Dafne at school. The girl with the striking looks of a Raven Princess but whose cold-steeled touch freezes everyone in her way. Her reputation works for her and she even likes it. People don't mess with her—except for her sister's infuriatingly handsome boyfriend, Ian, who loves pushing her subzero temper to its limits. Life in Berryford is flowing exactly as she wants it—no drama, no boy trying to get into her pants—until she starts noticing odd, glazed-eyed students everywhere. Something weird is happening and, unusual enough for her, she needs to find out why. But when people start falling into a coma with no reason, among them Dafne's sister, she decides to take the matter in her hands, because if her intuition is right, this isn't something doctors or virologists can fight. This is something…more. With frustration and guilt leading her way, and Ian forcing himself to her side, Dafne will step onto a road that'll open her eyes to why ignorance is bliss, why hate is so close to love, and why our imagination might be the most dangerous weapon ever known.
