Carlo and June frowned when they came back after queuing for lunch. Theo was already waiting but without the usual lunch box. The two of them sat across from him.
"You didn't bring lunch? It's very bumpy," said June.
Theo sighed softly. "Jacob said he would bring lunch for me. Because last week, when he brought it, I went home early."
Carlo glanced at June. Ah, they remember when Theo looked pale that time and his father came to pick him up. During recess, Jacob gave them the lunch box.
"That time..." Carlo said quietly. "Are you okay? Even though you said you felt fine, that pale face of yours…"
Theo smiled faintly. "I really wasn't sick that time, Carlo." He looked at his two friends in turn. "Actually, the night before, I had an argument with my dad and mom. Feeling annoyed, I left the house early in the morning. My face is pale. Maybe from lack of sleep."
"But after that, your mom came to pick you up. Are you okay now?" June asked.
