Ryo is a goodie-two-shoes who listens to authority figures, and only does what he is told. He never disobeys, nor does he ever do anything with his self interest in mind. Despite the trials he endures in life, which twisted how he views the world in a very negative way, he does not waver, leaving the rough period in his life without having acted what he believes to be "Out of line". He manages to keep himself together, though his past put him ever so close to his breaking point. It was only a matter of time before he snaps and begins to demonstrate a will of his own, and when Ryo is summoned to another world that is no different than his, and is just as horrible, It's just enough to finally force him to act. In the face of the many sins, horrible customs, and endless cycles of people, Ryo gains a new resolve to try something he had never attempted before: doing whatever he wanted. While Ryo enjoys his freedom in a world where magic and swordsmanship is commonplace, and where nobility and those with authority trample the weak, he might happen to distribute some well needed balance of power, and maybe, restore some order.
