I will not change
On the night the meteor rain marched down the sky like an endless parade, Vera made a wish upon a shooting star.
“If only you would just disappear!”
When the person loved by all, unalike to Vera, whispered something to her, Vera felt her body wash up in heat and wished the person in front of her to just disappear.
When the stars have fallen and the wine have spilled, both Vera and the woman fell off from the second-floor balcony, except as it turns out, the woman who fell with her was the falling star descending from the sky, while she was the spoiled wine, unwanted on the marble balcony floor.
Her personal knight, who had pledged an oath of loyalty to Vera, rushed to save Diana over her.
The person whom Vera loved all her life, called out another woman’s name: “Diana- Save her immediately!”
When Vera woke up, she was neither at the sparkling dancehall, nor was she in her luxurious bedroom, but at an equally cold prison cell, dirty and dark, unalike to places she’d ever frequent.
“You pushed Lady Diana off the balcony, and the crown prince demands you pay with your life through execution”
As her handmaiden informs her of her impending execution announced by the very man she loved the most, the crown prince, Vera smirks a sarcastic smile.
She was a selfish, arrogant, demanding and cruel person.
‘But if I don’t love myself, then who will?’
On the day of her execution, she walked onto the platform with a cold arrogance, and Vera, on her last moments on the guillotine, smiled through her red cracked lips against ridicule and undermining expectations.
‘If I could turn back time, I would not only hate that protagonist of a woman- Diana, but everyone. I’ll hate every single one of you.’
