Chapter 21 : The Truth
Waking up the next morning, I felt differently than I’d expected to.
After spending last night with the others for Christmas, Sonny and I found ourselves once again tangled beneath the sheets.
Now, I couldn’t help but lay in his bed next to him and stare at the ceiling, trying to think through everything that had happened.
Sonny wanted me to stay with him forever, but deep down, I knew that wouldn’t be possible.
I first came to this pack to fulfill a vendetta. Now, I was questioning everything I had once thought to be true.
How was I supposed to complete my job as an Alpha when I was fraternizing with the enemy?
Sighing, I turned to face Sonny, who was still fast asleep. My fingers ran over his arm gently before I began to trace the angles of his face. He looked so beautiful when he was sleeping, and something about him made me feel safe and at home.
I knew today would be the day I asked him the truth.
