[ Chapter - 3: New Life As A Demon(Darth) Lord ]

On a world, stretching across the Omniverse there lays a forest. Whispers drifted from between the pillars of wood and Earth, beckoning with their haunting call to any foolish enough to listen. "Follow us," they seemed to say. "Find what you have been seeking." To an unwary ear, these promises might have seemed tempting; comforting, even, as though one had been greeted by a trusted friend. Only once a traveler had been ensnared – after they had strayed from their path and moved into the reach of those grasping branches – would the truth become evident: This was no refuge for the encouraging, but a tomb for the foolish.

A harsh, blinding light pierced through the leaves, casting a kaleidoscope of sinister shadows on the forest floor. There, beneath the twisted plants and rot-filled soil, the corpses of countless wanderers lied in eternal repose. The trees – silently mocking, selfish entities that they were – slowly consumed these departed creatures, sucking gluttonously on the decay of black mud... and returning nothing to the world they sapped, save for the toxic, corrosive gas that they belched into the sky. Predators and prey alike watched this sordid feast from their hidden places, desperately hoping that they would survive another day amidst the horror.

However, something started twisting and moving In this black mud. Standing up, is a humanoid being In black and red armor.

Walking, the black mud slowly came off of his skin and armor, giving the world a better look at him.

The humanoid being is a dignified man with golden hair, flowing down past his eyes. His face is described as extremely otherworldly handsome. His eyes, crimson like blood, are visibly not those of a human and give off a mysterious radiance that makes people wither In fear and amazement. He has a "perfect, Golden-proportioned body" described as emanating majesty that makes flames surrounding him afraid to come close, to his very soul that glows golden.

Looking around, he thought,' So this is where I start.' This being is, Welt Joyce, that was talking to the Goddess In that void, now known as Gilgamesh.

Scanning, he can feel many eyes on him, from the forest surrounding him.

Smiling, he started walking deeper into the forest with a slight smile on his lips, sensing those eyes following him.

After approximately one hour, he found a medieval white stone Castle with his name at the top of a Tower In golden letters. The Castle itself is crammed Into and around an enormous Titan-like mountain, with trees all over it, wrapped around the whole Castle.

Stepping Into the castle stone-silver gates, he heard an emotionless mechanical female voice, ringing throughout his head, bringing a holographic blue panel with white letters, In front of him.

[ Welcome Demon Lord Gilgamesh, to your Territory, the Nightmarish Endless Forest ]

" Thanks for the warm welcome..."

[ My Lord, I'm you're Territory Magical Core, that can build and summon things for you, meaning I don't have a name ]

" Don't have a name?" Gilgamesh questioned, stepping Into the throne room, after making various twists and turns to get here.

Glancing everywhere, he smiled," Would you like a name?"

Hearing It's Master, the Magical Core answered emotionlessly.

[ It's up to you, My Lord ]

" Up to me?" He mumbled, then answered with a smile, walking up to the throne," Then I'll name you: Ophis."

[ Ophis? Ophis?... I like it. Then, please call me Ophis, from now on, My Lord ] The Magical Core, now known as: Ophis said, after testing her name a few times, liking It.

" Glad you liked It." Gilgamesh smiled, making it to the top of the throne and sitting on It, gracefully and elegantly.

Looking around, he found the room looks like an ancient Game of Thrones, throne room, In nothing but black and gold. Above him, is beautiful hanging chandeliers that gave the room a warm yet violent feeling to everyone that walks Into through the doors. At the side of him, is enormous glass widows that are covered In leaves and roots, not allowing not light to come In.

' A little cleaning here and there, then this place will be tip-top shape In no time.' He thought, discovering some glass shards and broken stones scattered around the floor.

[ My Lord, don't worry yourself, you can summon subordinates to that for you ] The Magical Core exampled, Inside his head, emotionlessly as ever.

" I see... Then, Ophis show me a list of subordinates I can summon as of now," Gilgamesh ordered with an eerie glow In his eyes.

[ ∆Territory Magical Core: Rank-0∆

|-| Subordinate List(For Now)|-|

Unknown Maid - 0/1: First One Free |

B1 Battle Droids - 0/100: First Hundred Free |

Stormtroopers - 0/20: First Twenty Free |

Space Marine -0/1: First One Free ]

" Huh?" Looking at the list, Gilgamesh's mouth twitched, recognizing these games & movies, after the first one.

' Why did feel I'm going to see more of these characters In the future?' He thought, then mumbled In his mind,' Star Wars, Warhammer 40k. From what I can remember of these fucked realities are, well not much at the moment.'

In a all out War with every faction of 40k united together, they could drown the Star Wars universe in bodies. There's no weapons short of planet destroyers that could remove an Ork or Tyranid infestation once it took hold on a planet. Clone/Storm troopers don't have the firepower to repel forces of that magnitude.

Space Marines are limited in number but could be deployed strategically to take out Jedi or important structures/leaders. The Death Stars are both destroyed by Terminators warping into their command centers and sabotaging critical systems while smashing everything short of the Emperor into a bloody pulp. Speaking of which, the Emperor is a formidable foe, but the God-Emperor just has better hax such as time stopping and warp storms/mass scale mind control. Nothing in current canon gives Palpatine a real shot at winning that fight.

While 40k infantry clearly wipes out anything they encounter on the ground, the combined fleets of the Republic/Empire/New Republic would be a tougher fight. However, 40k ships like the World Engine (basically the 40k Death Star) have such incredible firepower and combat speed that they would pulverize 99% of Star Wars vessels. Of course, superweapons like Starkiller base would be tough to defeat, but it's just easier to wipe out planets in 40k.

' However, In my occasionally humble opinion... Both franchises use the rule of cool in their lore, which is to say if it makes an enticing story they do it, and rely on their population suspension of belief to tell stories. Either universe analyzed too heavily crumbles, but ultimately I would say that the Imperium, which has just about perfected war, would ultimately triumph, not because of better tactics or better equipment, but by sheer numbers alone.' Gilgamesh concluded with a thinking expression, then continued,' Moreover, Star Wars is more about Space Battles, and WH40K is more about land battles. When the Imperium reaches Coruscant, which is a when and not an if, they would hold it. As well as all of the shipbuilding planets.'

" Ugh! Now I have a migraine! Great, just fucking great!" Gilgamesh confessed, holding his forehead with his right hand In otherworldly overwhelming pain.

' Well, now I know not to think too hard, about stuff from "My" past. Or else, I'll have the world's most unpleasant headache.' He concluded, once more, feeling the pain leave him.

Looking up, he yawned In mental exhaustion, as physically, he's always ready,' Time for me to take a nap.' Thinking this, he mumbled out, closing his eyes," Night, Ophis."

[ Good Night My Lord[L̷̢̛̩͔̯̟̱͙͖̼͇̊̌͑̈́̆̽̿͌̕̚͜͝o̵͖̬͕̞͇̙̓͑͛̐̀͂͐͋ṿ̵̨̧̙͎̥̝͖̩̲͉̎͌̄̌̈̎̈́̍̾̅̚͜͠e̴̢̢̧̛̟̤̖̻͕͈̠̩̤͖̰̊͒̋͐͊̚͘] Sweet dreams, I'll be here when you need Me ]

" Hmm, thanks...Zzzzzzz~" He whispered with a slight smile, falling asleep right after.
