Rise of a beast master in the cultivation world

Near the edge of large forest, a bloodied young man with black hair could be seen resting against a large rock.

He is Alex blake, a 14 year old, 2nd order cultivator and an orphan who lived in the black frost city.

He still couldn't beleive the events that led to this situation

...

It was a normal day, where he went scavenging for food while wearing torn clothes, the normal life of an orphan.

But while he was passing through an alley , he saw a bunch of kids throwing stones at a small bird. He, who loved animals from his childhood couldn't bear seeing such an act, shouted,

" Stop that!"

This drew the attention of those kids, giving the bird just enough time to escape.

"Oh now what do we have here, a weakling trying to be a hero"

The kid in the front said.Then he suddenly rushed towards Alex, he couldn't react in time and he was caught.But either way, that wouldn't have made a difference since the kid was a 7th order cultivator.

What happened after that was just one sided beating as Alex couldn't do anything aganist them.

Suddenly, one of the kids said,

"Hey guys, what to you say about leaving him in the forest outside the city in this state? It won't be connected to us since he will be dead by the time anyone find him"

The others also readily agreed because this wasn't the first time they had done such things. Their parents wouldn't make much of fuss as long as it didn't stain their reputation of being nobels.

"Man, I really have a softspot for animals, well at least it escaped."

Alex said to himself. Just then he saw the same bird that he had saved from those kids flying in the sky.

It came down wearly and sat on the ground, and bowed it's head a little as if showing gratitude. Alex chuckle to himself seeing this and thought 'well atleast it knows gratitude'.

while thinking this, he reached his hand out even though a bit hesitant , it still allowed him to pet his head.

"I don' think I have much time left, I would be lucky if I could get out if this forest alive". Alex said to the bird sadly.

Just as he was losing hope of survival, suddenly a thin glass like object with letters appeared in his field of vision. It read

[Beast master system successfully activated]

[Binding to the host. Binding successful]

[Host learned the skill :Beast contract]

[Detected host is in dire condition]

[Releasing emergency first quest (upgraded)]

[Quest : Contract your first beast

Condition:contract a beast

Rewards: Full recovery, synchronised vision (skill),10 stat points,evolution of the contracted beast]

[Warning! It is advised for the host to immediately complete the quest]

Alex quickly read through them and was quite shocked to say the least. Even though the feeling of doubt was still there, he would gladly accept it, even if the possibility was low.

"But where will i find a beast in this state". As he was thinking this to himself,

[A suitable beast for contract has been detected]

[Would you like to proceed ?]

He was alarmed and tried to look for a beast, but there was no such beast. Just as was doubting this so called system,he suddenly remembered that the bird he had saved was still there and the system should be identifying it as beast.

"You almost gave me a heart attack you know, little guy".

While saying this, he also asked the system

'So how do I make this beast contract ?'

[The host only need to say 'beast contract'.

Note that once a beast contract is formed, it cannot be undone.]

"Oh! guess I have to choose carefully,but I only have this little guy right here, and I don't

have time to look for another beast. So Iwill have to make a contract with this bird"

'Let's see, the system said to say " beast contract" '. Thinking this, he said

"Beast contract"

A circular shaped symbol suddenly appeared on the bird's forehead, but the bird didn't show any reaction at all.

Just as alex was wondering if the beast contract has failed or something.

[Beast successfuly contracted]

[Quest complete! Distributing rewards!]

Just then he felt himself healing at a rapid pace ,his bones were fully healed and when he looked down, there were only blood and all his wounds has been healed. And he felt stronger than ever

"Could it be because of the beast contract"

When he looked towards his newly contracted

beast, it was glowing in a light green colour.

"There was something about evolution of the contracted beast in the reward section"

"Now, I have a question for you,beast system"

[Go ahead host! As long as it is within your current authority, the system will answer all questions ]

"Who or what exactly are you, beast system?"
