Return of the Goddess

In the universe, there is a world. A world where there are beasts, spirits, humans with magical powers.

In the beginning, there was only one entity of magic, it harbored the ability to control all the elements. However, this entity had nothing to rule over and floated endlessly in space. So one day it used its physical body to make land, the tears became the ocean and water. Mountains, greenery, animals, and humans were created. At first, these humans were not able to conduct magic and see the magical beings however they worshipped this entity as a god. They called her Gaia, the nature goddess, and would give sacrifices to please her.

Gaia was extremely pleased and in return, she visited a few of the best humans to teach them magic. The first few humans that she taught grew to become masters of their element and later became immortal. They taught the other humans magic and Gaia went sleep. Gaia has used up most of her magic to create this land and to teach the humans. She went to sleep leaving the gods and goddesses in charge.

Each god/goddess is very powerful and lived in the heavens while ruling over the land. They witnessed each battle and fight among the humans and only viewed each war as a play. However after centuries of watching the battle, many became bored of just watching. So many decided to reincarnate and became humans themselves. They found it fun as each of them played around with the humans. Some became spies that exposed the other sides' secrets, some used their godly looks to seduce their enemies. With these immortals participating the battles became even worse and took a big toll on the land and the people themselves.

While some of the gods and goddesses played around and messed with human lives there were also a few gods and goddesses that were protective of these humans. They tried to reason those playful gods and goddesses to stop but to no prevail. This led to friction and tension to develop among the immortals. This tension accumulated like grains of sand, in the beginning, it was not much but over time the single grains became mountains.

A war brewed amongst the gods and each side had many powerful individuals. Since the war could not be held in the heavens it was held on land. This war went on for centuries and was hundreds of time worse than the human ones. The entire animal population was depleted and the human race almost became extinct. The land became dirtied with war and became brown and black.

The was no ending to this war and the last remaining humans feared for their lives. They can not see the gods but they could sense that some supernatural forces are battling and fighting.

So they turned to Gaia or Mother Nature. But because she has no form she can not directly use her powers so she chose a priestess to stand for her. She chose a young baby girl and had the girl be able to directly use her powers. The young girl grew up in isolation and away from the people because of her status as a priestess. Everyone had to bow down to her when she passes even her mother and father had to as well. She grew up under the teaching of Mother Nature and could not act like how a child should be.

Years passed and she grew to become a beautiful young maiden and only used the powers given to her to do good. She prevailed the war between the gods and kept the peace for a few centuries. She also successfully cultivated and became a goddess, the first nature goddess.

The peace only lasted for 400 years and another war broke out between the two sides once again. The nature goddess did everything she can to stop this but everything she did was useless. In the end, the land was destroyed until it could not be recovered and everyone and everything was wiped away. Watching her homeland being destroyed burdened the nature goddess and she used every bit of her power to stop the fighting. She sacrificed her life and stopped the war. Her powers spread around the land and the land recovered. Flowers began to bloom again, animals came back, the butterflies returned but she died in exchange.

That year became known as the turning point in history.

"NO!. NO! NOO!" A handsome man in blue hair hugged a pale woman in his arms as he cried.

"No. That can't be.." A young woman wearing a ripped up and dirty pink outfit covered her face with her hands as she took a step back not believing what happened.

To her right, another man with the same blue hair shook his head as he walked up to the man hugging the woman and placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Mark. Let go, it's no use anymore. Her...her spirit has dispersed into bits she can not reincarnate or-"

"SHUT UP." Mark swiped his hand and a wave of blue ice spikes formed and circled around him and the girl.

The other man with blue hair stepped back and was in disbelief. Who would know that his brother would harm him?

"Mark! I'm your brother why are you-"

"My brother? Oh really." Mark said in a mocking tone.

He gently set the women down and stood up to look at his brother. His anger could be seen in his eyes.

"I told you. I told you to stop the war but no you decided to continue. From the beginning, I told you that war will lead to nowhere. I tried to stop you, I reasoned with you but no you are so arrogant. You decided that you must be the one to control and look what it led to."

Mark's anger enhanced his aura and his blue eyes became sky blue, his blue hair suddenly changed to white and his powers increased by an entire level.

He directly jumped from being an Immortal God to become a Celestial God and has officially inherited the Ice Queen's throne.

"Mark. You." Mark's brother face darkened and his hands balled up into fists.

He could not believe that his younger brother actually became a Celestial God before him.

"Leave!" Mark bellowed as he raised his hand and the clouds clouded up then a giant blizzard fell from the sky.

The blizzard was no normal blizzard. Each drop contained a very powerful spell that harmed the gods and goddesses giving them no choice but to retreat.

Mark took the women's body and sealed her inside of an ice chamber. She was sealed in there for millions of years and her body was kept frozen for millions of years.

The war stopped. Many of the gods and goddesses did not return to heaven but stayed on the human land. The relationship between the gods did not return to how it was before but at least they did not fight anymore.
