While still awed by the sword and the golden light, Alex looked at his fingers that were shining. After some time the light disappeared.

The only thing that remained was a bronze book floating in mid-air near him. It gave him the feeling that it was part of him as his limbs that he could move at the whim.

At the door, the beautiful woman stood awestruck, her face full of tears.

She leaned on the sides of the door, using the door to support her trembling, emotional body. Then, her body seemed to lose strength as she fell onto the ground.

She had watched everything, her face showing an extremely surprised but happy expression. Her tears flowed like a stream of water, dripping unto her clothes.

"San-er, you, did you succeed in making a contract with a summoning grimoire? Is, is this real? Am I dreaming? Heavens above, this is all thanks to big sis' blessings. Big sis, did you see that San-er had succeeded in making a contract? I've said it before, San-er is not a good-for-nothing…Thank heavens that he's not, I thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of our San-er…." The beautiful woman kneeled on the ground, her emotions flowing uncontrolled. She kowtow-ed sincerely, thanking the heavens for their blessings.

At the door, the small girl had returned too, her hands holding a big red pin-wheel. She tilted her head and asked, "Mom, why are you crying?" She then rushed toward Alex with a smile showing off the pinwheel in her arm. "Brother look at this pinwheel! Do you like it? I bought it with mother in the market!" She said with a big smile while still in his arm.

With the little girl in his arm, he went out of his room. Si Niang was there waiting for them. She then waved her hands calling for the little girl but she refused still in her brother's arm.

The beautiful woman then took the small girl from Alex and said happily, "San-er, quick, let Si Niang see your [Inherent Skill] and [Guardian Spirit]…San-er, I've said it before that you would definitely succeed…Ah, this is so good, after working hard for so many years, you have finally succeeded. San-er, you have finally become an outstanding person! Quick, open the summoning grimoire and let Si Niang look, I'm so excited to see it!"

Alex nodded, he too was curious about his inherent skill and his guardian beast. He wanted to know if they were the same as the novel or not.

When Alex turned his summoning grimoire, he realized that the first page was his own portrait.

He looked rather handsome.

He didn't mind about the comments, he knew that he will grow stronger. He then looked at his inherent skill and it was the same as the original.

When Si Niang and Yue Shang looked at the page they couldn't see anything. Si Niang thought that he didn't have any skill, so she began consoling him.

"San-er, it's okay if you don't have an Inherent Skill. As long as you work hard, I believe that you could be a strong Ranker like your father…"

Hearing that he hastily said, " Fourth mother you can't see my skill because it's camouflage so don't worry." When he said that she was so happy that she began smiling again.

After looking at his skill he looked at his Guardian Beast page and this time he was surprised. There wasn't only one but two of them. They were:

Phantom Shadow: Special-type, level 1. You can control your own shadow. Each shadow will have half of your strength. Shadows can be joined together to increase their size.

Devourer: Special-type, level 1. A monster born to devour all thing. By devouring any type of monster it can evolve.

He was surprised to see another Guardian beast and he was also startled. The image he could see on the page was something similar to a vacuum and a black hole. What type of monster was it and what could it do? That was the only he was thinking now. He knew for sure that there weren't trash monster only trash masters. He checked it with the divine vision that he just acquired but he couldn't see anything.
