Born Sitter

In a small field with nothing but grassland in the surrounding, laid a young teen clad in blue clothes unconscious.

"Brother Jun... "

What was that voice? It sounded so urgent, like a family member or loved one was dying. Not only was the voice panic like, but it was starting to get louder.

"Younger Brother Jun can you hear me? Please wake up!"

Slowly Jie Jun felt his eyes opening while taking in the bright sunlight. Then came the sight of the sky, the clouds, the time of day, and finally the young lady leaning over him with a worried look on her face.

Everything was happening way to fast; Jie Jun had no way to grasp the changes around him. The last thing he could remember was being shoved off a high mountain slope while seeing the snow below him get closer.

Had he survived? Why was there no snow?

Even if he made it out of the fall, there should be pain or maybe a hospital room, but none of these were present right now. Not only did he feel no pain in his body, there were extra memories rushing through his head.

He could remember that his name is Jie Jun, age 15 years old and that he is currently in a city called Bullying City. Jie Jun being the youngest of the three children of the Clan Leader from the Jie Clan.

As for how he got in the current situation he was in right now, if the memories he has are correct, then he had a sudden bout of dizzy and tiredness. Following that, he collapsed in the field after losing strength to stay awake.

No! That's not right!

He was taking a snow skiing trip during his school break from college with some friends. After skiing around for a bit he decided to take a rest near a high point in the snow and watch the sunset. Not too long after catching his breath from the short rest, he felt a shove that knocked the air out of his lungs, then his life's memories started rushing by as the ground below got closer from him falling.

This is the point where he woke up to find himself in a strange place and new body?

Two memories? Of two different lives? What was going on? Both died at some point?

Did he get transported to another world? Or reincarnated?

Giving how he felt he was from earth and just a college student instead of a citizen of Bullying City, it could only be the former ideal. To put plain and simple, Jie Jun from the previous world's life history involving games, school, friends, family, and anything else, were all gone from the moment he woke up in this place while being in the body of a youth from the Jie Clan.

Having come to this thought of mind, Jie Jun tried sitting up and avoiding the lady leaning to close for comfort.

"You... you are Second Sister Li? Why am I laying down in this field? Was I attacked?"

Quickly Jie Jun asked a few questions to give himself some more time to think about his situation and how he should proceed with his next actions.

"Younger Brother Jun are you really okay? Did you lose any memories or injure yourself when you passed out earlier? Your body was growing paler by the second so much that I thought you might have died. Don't scare your really young looking Sister like that, I could start sprouting grey hairs from the shock and fear you know?"

Jie Jun looked at Jie Li with a disbelief expression, before regaining his train of thought.

Why was she being so dramatic? There was no way she would start having grey hair that easy. Jie Li was only a year older than him at the age of 16 years old. Could anyone even claim they saw a natural grey hair 16-year-old? Who would believe it was natural in the first place?

Naive! Naive! Only the people born naive would accept this as fact.

Ignoring his sister's weird sense of humor, there was only a couple of choices he could follow. One being to break down and believe everything happening was a dream to spice up his boredom from daily life, or two being to accept this is real and try to make the best of it.

Since he might die from trying to end this dream life, then it was for the best to just play it through until he could confirm this is his new life.

"No worries, I'm okay now after having time to fully wake. Did you come to get me for something or did mother ask you to look for me because I was gone too long outside?"

Jie Li gave him another once over checking for any signs of damage, before sighing in relief at how careless her little brother can be at times. Jie Jun was born with such a weak body, yet he always insisted on being energetic with no care for his body or the feelings of the people around him who might get worried sick just thinking if he overworked his body limits.

The body he was born with had so many bad Talents that, it was deemed, he was a Sitter. Not only was he a Sitter, but a Born Sitter. In other words, Jie Jun's level of the body will remain the same because the conditions to level up were far too harsh to achieve. Forced to remain at the same level no matter how much effort put in because of the Talents he was born with, people in the city during that time period, when heard the news about the Third Young Master from the Jie Clan being a Born Sitter, had no problem in quickly labeling him as a waste with no future prospects.

From that point, Jie Jun spent all his time trying to have adventures to escape the shame that he brought to the Clan. This led to him overworking his body every day despite the pain it caused by doing so.

"No, I got worried because father mentioned he might have found a way to fix your Frozen Level so you can level up in the future. You might even become Level 1 before the age of 18."

Jie Jun could not help but to give his sister a second look. Did she say become Level 1? And what was a Frozen Level? The words he was hearing, was as if she was talking about a video game. Since when did people even have levels or could level up?

After going through some more of his memories, he saw the answers to his thoughts.

Frozen Level was the correct term to use when one's level became too hard to improve but nobody would hold respect for the weak enough to spare their feelings. The Levels Jie Li mentioned was just like in games. One could level up by killing things or using a Breathing Technique. It was faster to use Breathing Techniques than killing but killing for most people, was less boring than sitting in one spot for hours on end, even days or months for the dedicated. The downside for this faster leveling, was in it being a Technique instead of a Skill, so the amount of experience gained was fixed to the Rank level.

Techniques only have ranks while Skills had both a rank and experience level. The difference between the two, allowed the Skill to be long lasting since it upgraded the rank depending on its experience level and the Technique to be temporary until one found a better rank Technique because it had no rank upgrade function. However, the Body Level was the real maker because one gained Body and Talent Stats when leveling up which helped refine the whole body.

This left Ranks, Levels, and Talents. Ranks were divided from G-A, G-rank was the lowest known rank while A-rank was nothing more than a fairytale since no one has ever seen anything higher than E-rank, to be exact, an E3-rank. Each rank had a lower, middle, and upper status from 3-1. 3 being the lowest and 1 being the highest.

Then there are Levels or Body Levels which didn't have a confirm cap too. The Levels known ranged are from Level 0 to Level 30. These 31 levels allowed one to gain 1 Body Stat each level up and an additional 1 Stat every 5 levels afterward. For example, Levels 1-5 was 1 Stat each level, Levels 6-10 was 2 Stats each level, Levels 11-15 was 3 Stats each level, and so on. Following that, each 2 level ups lets a person get 1 Talent Stat. Example for this is, Level 2 is 1 Stat, Level 4 is 1 Stat, Level 6 is 1 Stat, and so on.

Last is Talents. Talents were gained in 3 different ways. The first was to be born with them from birth, second leveling up the Body Level to unlock Hidden Talents, or last, absorbing Death Orbs. The only way to level up Talents was through other Talents or Talent Stats.

"Second Sister Li, if that's the case, we should head back to the clan so I can rest a little before I see father."

"Okay, we will do it as you say. Let's go back and I will tell father the incident today was too much stress for your body."

Nodding his head, Jie Jun let her lead him to the Jie Clan area. The effects of being in a new body still left him feeling tired and sleepy. It was even more so with the ridiculous bad Talents he could remember on his status screen. There was no way to level in a lifetime with those Talents unless he had an even more outrageous background that could carry and power level him up.

After arriving at the clan estate, Jie Jun went to his room and laid down. The space in his room was a nice size, it also allowed him to have his privacy. His father was Clan Leader, so this also let him get a small courtyard to himself with the room he was in now being apart of it.

"With this sleep, I will finally see if this is all a delusion or I'm in a new world with a new start. If this is true then I will strive for the top. Being called Zero Sitter by people shows this world is just like those novels my friends like talking about. The strong are respected and the weak are bullied or maybe killed."

A few hours after closing his eyes, Jie Jun woke up again to the same sight he went asleep too. There was no changing his situation and he no longer plans on worrying about either. He would have to move forward and completely accept this was now his life.

"Sorry Jie Jun for stealing your life but I promise you I will make the name Jie Jun a legend because of the unfairness of the world and these bad Talents."

With that said, Jie Jun took a look at the 2 Fatal Talents on the status screen showing his personal information that caused his predecessor's death.

This is my first time writing a story so let me know what you all think.
