Chapter 31: Unexpected Encounter...

After the revelation, Rakesh mutter a word just to change the atmosphere lingers after what he said.

"We should head out now, we also need to do something so what had I said today just forget about it." Rakesh said since he knows this will happen after what he said.

"Oh... Umm, Okay. We should go now." Rachel said after a minute.

Rakesh sighed and walked out first. While the others couldn't mutter anything but just following them.

While they were walking, Rachel and the others where walking behind them Rakesh and Reihta together with Vermin walking ahead of them and talking something that Rachel and the others couldn't hear it.

"Why did you suddenly confess?" Vermin ask.

"Is it really true? That you already fall in love with her?" Reihta ask.

"*Sigh* I also think about it from the beginning but I can't do anything to remove it. And I can't change the fact that I really in love with her. It was just our mate who decides this, it's not me." Rakesh said.

"But she also your owner..." Reihta said.

"I know, it was just like our ancestors who was mated to also his owner and mate" Rakesh said.

"Do you think it will repeat what happen to our ancestors up to now?" Reihta ask.

"I don't know, that is why I wanted to know more about it... And maybe... Just maybe, I can change them." Rakesh said.

"Whatever you choose my lord I will still following you" Vermin said.

"Thanks." Rakesh said.

Rachel couldn't help but to look at Rakesh who is talking to his sibling and to Vermin. She still couldn't believe that Rakesh will confess out of a sudden. It was too shocking that they couldn't say anything.

They keep walking and didn't make a sound, it was so quiet until Dennis utter a word to change the atmosphere.

"*Phew!* It was so quiet here" Dennis said pretending laughing.

"Y-yeah... We also need to make a noise, you know" Louis said but still looking ahead.

They knew that the atmosphere was too tense after what happen.

"Hey guys, make a conversation? I can't stand being quiet here" Daisy said

"H-how we will do that? Even we talked none of you responded." Dennis said.

"Sorry, I was so shocked to what I heard that making me stay quiet" Stacey said.

"I know, me either shocked to what Rakesh said earlier." Dennis said.

"So, what will you gonna do about it? Rachel?" Dennis added after looking at Rachel who was looking at Rakesh. All of them look at her.

"I don't know, this is... I mean, I sometimes get lots of confessions but from humans like us. And now I got confess from a dragon who also my servant who was my mate from the beginning. I... I really don't know what should I say." Rachel said walking.

"If that's the case will you reconsider his confession? Do you feel the same way towards him?" Louis ask.

"To be honest, I do feel the same way towards him. But... It doesn't change the fact that he was a dragon and I was a human... Just like what Reihta said, they don't want to get mated to a human since our ancestors made used of them, experimented them and also abused them. SO I am not sure what should I say after that" Rachel said looking gloom.

"Well, if you asked me. You and Rakesh wasn't like from the ancestors they have. Also we don't know if you both will end up like them. There's a possibility that the future may change, all we have to do is do the right thing" Stacey said.

"As expected for someone who is intelligent. But I haven't realize that you were this good for some advice" Louis said.

"*Heh* Don't underestimate me, I may haven't got into a relationship but I also lack of advices" Stacey said.

Then all of them laugh, Rachel smiled and look ahead only to find out that the three of them were also looking at them. Rachel caught Rakesh gaze, he smiled at her making Rachel blushed and look away.

After a while they decided to transform into dragon and flew Rachel and her friends away from where they were living just to not other dragons notice their presence.

But before they could leave a monster appear in front of them, making Rakesh and the others stop moving and waited what the monster would do.

It takes a minute but still it won't moving, Rakesh being alerted and trying to move if the monster will react onto it but still it doesn't working, even though he was moving. It was like this monster was a stone or statue.

They make it passed the monster but before Rakesh finally let out a sigh he once again glance at the monster when he was shocked knowing that the monster was now looking at them thoroughly as if it move on its own but the difference was after they passed from it, instead of looking where they came from it was now looking at them from behind.

Rakesh didn't want to feel it but he felt unease towards this monster. He thinks that this monster was waiting for them to run or move.

Rakesh decided to confront it, so he keeps glancing at the monster when he said to Rachel and to others. "Go for now, I need to figure out something about this monster."

"But... It doesn't moving so, why would you find something weird against this monster?" Rachel ask.

"I felt unease towards this monster, I can't help but to notice something that makes me cannot explain." Rakesh said not looking at her, but keeps looking at the monster.

"How can you be so sure?" Dennis ask. But instead he ask Stacey since she was the genius among those humans.

"Stacey, If I'm going to ask you... If a stone or something like this monster wasn't alive or moving. When we passed it where does it should looking" He said while looking at the monster who keeps looking at them.

"Hmm... If a stone was looking from there where we came from, and when we passed it should be-..." Stacey gasped couldn't continue when she finds out that this monster was not ordinary and still alive.

"Exactly, that is what I am thinking right now. I know something strange going on about this monster. So you all should go now and wait for me. I want to make sure that my hunch was right" Rakesh said, Rachel and the others were clueless but Stacey knows that maybe this monster was still alive and just pretending not to move to counterattack them from behind.

"We should go..." Stacey said, and pulling Daisy and her friends away from them.

"But-..." Rachel said but cut by Stacey.

"We have to go now Rach! This monster, we surely thought that it was alive" Stacey said.

"How?" Dennis ask.

"I will tell you everything later, for now we should go head out" Stacey said panicking.

So Rachel and the others decided to leave Rakesh with the monster, she glance at him and she notice that Rakesh was looking furiously to the monster ahead of him not peeking at them focusing on the monster who is still like a stone not moving.

"Rach! Let's go!" Stacey said and Rachel finally follow her.

When Rachel and the other got out of the way Rakesh still focuses on the monster ahead of them and he decided to confront it.

Rakesh tried to inspect the monster, this monster looks like a snake but his head was like a dragon until the monster totally move and Rakesh step back and prepared himself into fight.

The monster was now moving and he look at Rakesh who is angrily looking at it. The monster breathes fire and graze only on his shoulder but still he came alerted if the monster will again breathe fire but instead he quickly approaches him towards and tried to bite him.

He manage to avoid it but hit his back in the wall. He was nowhere to escape. He didn't think twice but also breathe fire against the monster. He successfully landed the monster a hit but it doesn't make much damage. The monster has the ability to immune to fire since this monster can breathe fire so it immune to the heat.

The monster once again attack and approached him to get him bite again but Rakesh avoid it and breathe fire. The monster avoid his fire and tried to encounter him with his fire breathe.

The monster soon blow it's real ability, which is the ability of snake it quickly again approached Rakesh and twine him inside his body.

Rakesh couldn't move when the monster already twine his whole body and neck. He barely breathe fire since the snake's twine getting tighter and tighter when he tries to breathe fire or even trying to approach the snake's head to bite it but the more he resist the tighter it gets.

Rachel was getting worried for him after they left him alone. Even Reihta was not here after Rakesh told him to stay in their base and get alerted so that she could report anything to him when he came back. So only Rakesh was leading Rachel and her friends to safety. But Rakesh was the only one who is fighting back to the monster. Rachel is restless knowing that this monster possibly alive that making Rakesh wanted to investigate first about this monster.

"Why do you want us to go and left Rakesh there?" Dennis ask Stacey since she was the one who knows why Rakesh acting differently towards to a stone monster.

"Well, it's because Rakesh notice something strange towards that stone monster we encounter." Stacey said.

"How can you be so sure about that?" Daisy ask.

"Do you remember the time when Rakesh ask me? It was the time when I absolutely notice what he was trying to say" Stacey said.

"And what is that?" All of them unison said.

"That the stone wasn't really a stone. It was alive and looking to all of us in the beginning after we went inside. It was just pretending to be stone" Stacey said.

"That means, that the monster was already alive and probably was fighting at Rakesh right now" She added that makes them shook to what they learnt.
