CHAPTER 15

Unknown P.O.V

"What the fuck are you doing?" He barked as he grabbed my collar. I switched my eyes between his face and hand before punching him right on his nose. He stumbled back and a hint of redness appeared from his nose.

"Don't you dare to touch me again!" I shouted as I fix my coat.

"A camera has caught you doing your f*cking stupidity!" He roared.

"I know." I calmly said. He stared at me like a dumb, which he was.

"I want them to find me. They should know who I am." I smirked.

"This is pure stupidity!" He pointed his index finger at me. "And if just because of your attitude we got caught! I'm telling you I will kill you!" He barked again with popped-out green eyes. He was angry and scared at the same time, interesting.

"You should have to think about it before coming to me for help. Now, it's up to me." I smirked and gestured him towards the door.

"You should go now if you love your life a bit." He glared at me and walked towards the door but stopping at the door he whispered, enough loud to hear.

"They are not stupid! They will find you soon and..." I cut him off by shouting, "I know! Get the fu*k off!"

"Have you seen a ghost or something?" Bre asked as we drove past the city and entered the forest highway, the way leading to the mansion.

"Why are you asking this?" I asked, looking at his brown eyes.

I couldn't stop the thought coming into my mind, could it be possible that the old lady was a ghost or something?

"Look at your face. You're looking space out." He said, moving the rare view mirror towards me. I looked at my face, my eyes looked almost bulged out of their sockets with horror and my face was pale. I moved the mirror back in its position.

"I'm tired." I lied.

"Why?" He asked.

"When did you come back?" I questioned back instead of answering. After the call, Anna had sent Bre to pick me almost 15 minutes later.

"Just 45 minutes ago. I was just back from the airport, my one foot was inside the door and the other was still out when Mom throw keys at me and ordered 'I've sent you a location, go and pick princess' Like seriously!" He winced and I smiled.

Bre was the only child of Anna. He was like a big brother and best friend to me. I, Bre, and Veward, together we three were a group of the trio. His facial features were as same as Anna's, brown eyes with brown hair, his face held the vibe of calmness, and a mischievous smile always lingers on his lips.

Daddy took all his financial responsibility after the death of Anna's husband. He was like another son of my father. He was a well-known boxer and a speed car racer. But you could not predict that looking at his not-so-build-up body. He was also working in Amino as a main advisor and manager.

We had asked Anna several times if she wanted to quit the job but she always refused. She said it was a habit now to take care of our family and she was pretty much used to it to the level she only quit it when she would die.

"How was your tournament?" I asked. He went to Hongkong for a tournament two weeks ago.

"Pretty good, you know your Bre. No one is better than me." He winked. I chuckled. Mr. Always-Over-Smart just like Veward.

"Well, I'm sorry about Al and Mia. I didn't get the chance to attend their funeral because of the game." He passed me a pitiful smile.

"We are on the same boat Brett John," I whispered.

I had not attended their funeral nor had I visited their graves yet. A feeling of guilt with sadness overwhelmed me as I felt moisture in my eyes but didn't let them fall.

We remained silent for the rest of the drive. His other name was Google because he always knew what was happening around him. So, he must have known about suspecting me and my mysterious disappearance from the car. So he didn't ask further and I didn't say anything.

"Marie, you are with Veward, right?" He asked curiously.

We entered the mansion and I unbuckled my seatbelt. Ignoring his question, I hopped out of the car.

"Was there any camera around?" He grinned while marching behind me.

"Where?"

"Where you guys have fought. I can't miss that exciting fight, you know." He said like the most innocent boy on this planet earth.

"Shut up!" I glared at him and he laughed.

The whole day passed in a blur as I spent my whole time in the gym with machines, torturing myself. Then we ate dinner together sharp at 8 pm with Mom, Daddy, and Caro. All the time my head was aching like an open wound because of too much thinking.

It was past 10 and I was walking in the corridor alone on the 2nd floor of our mansion. My arms crossed in front of my chest and my eyes fixed on the white marble floor. While my mind was engaged in finding the answers to some questions.

Who was she? How could she have my phone? Did she was the one who saved me? But how? Then what about masked savior? And who was that blue-eyed guy? What was his connection with my nightmare? But.....my nightmares were not reality. Then why did they felt something else? Something much more!

I reached the balcony and looked at the trees. The backside of our mansion was attached to the jungle. A cold blow of wind brushed my hair in the air and gave chills to my bare skin. I inhaled the fresh air to get rid of some questions.

I closed my eyes and listened to the silence when I heard a sound of a crack like someone had crashed some dry leaves under their feet. I shoot my eyes open to find myself alone on the balcony.

A feeling of nausea hit me. I closed my eyes again and there came that sound again. I shoot my eyes open and looked around suspiciously with an uneven heartbeat. There was no one on the balcony except me. I looked towards the jungle where I caught sight of someone's presence there.

My eyes got wider and my breath stopped. A person more like a shadow was standing almost at some great distance from our mansion but how could my ear become so sharp? How could I even hear a crack sound of leaves at such a great distance?

That shadow started to move inside the jungle and disappeared into trees. God knows what overtook me that I left the mansion and walked towards the jungle. Soon, I was inside the trees. It was dark here and only the light of the moon was guiding my direction.

After walking for a minute or two I spotted the same shadow walking at some distance, ahead of me. With the help of the sound, creating by the cracking of the leaves, it was making while walking. I followed that shadow.

How could my senses become so sharp? Why had not I notice this before?

That shadow was walking in front of me at a 20 step distance. Its back was facing me but was covered in a long black cloak, dancing in the air with an attached hood rested on that shadow's head.

Curiosity was doing its best on me as I was like a real stupid following a stranger. That shadow could even harm me? But who was it and what was it doing here? These questions made me followed that shadow anyway.

Suddenly, it stopped walking and I stopped too. My eyes bewildered when in a blink of an eye it was in front of me. My heart skipped several beats and my lungs stopped working and my mouth parted to scream but nothing came out.

His red sparking eyes were shining in the dark, sending shiver after shiver of fear down my spine. I stumbled back but my back hit a tree. His face was pale white like all the blood from his body had drained out.

He moved further towards me and I quivered. Tears started to roll down my cheeks. My eyes were burning as warm tears were rolling out of them. My whole body was trembling with fear. I was scared. I tried to scream but nothing came out instead of a low sob.

In a second, he gripped his cold hand around my neck and my already stopped breath hitched if even possible. Long-sharp fangs came out of his mouth as he increases pressure on my neck, his eyes still shinning deadly red. Here, I choked for breath and my vision started to blur.

Before my soul could leave my body, he stopped with eyes more widened and red if possible.

Someone pushed him away from me and I fell on my knees, coughing badly. I exhaled heavily to catch my breath and cough hard as more tears roll down my face.

Breathing heavily, I closed my eyes and fell on the ground as darkness enveloped me.
