"Uniform- Check, Sword- Check, Wallet- Check and Pokeball- Check... Alright, we are set to go," I said gazing at myself in the mirror.

"Elekid, are you done with your Breakfast?" I asked turning towards the kitchen.

[Almost done, today we will be practising moves right?] he asked back in excitement while eating his semi-dry food.

"Yeah, wait till the classes get over. Most probably we will practice in the evening..." I said going through my schedule.

"Also don't forget to eat the Pecha Berry for today," I said pointing the Pecha berry on the dining table.

[Roger that] he said finishing his last bite.

I am feeding one Pecha berry a day for now. Because in the pokemon games the move Natural Gift turns the held item, Pecha Berry, into the electric move. Thanks to my perfect memory, I even remember the things I randomly read on the internet.

There are no pokeblocks in the current era so have to make do with these berries. I also have no clue or no memory of making pokeblocks from step 1.

Anyways, it's almost time to go...

A while later:

"Arthur I woke up early at 5 AM and went to the practice ground to test the moves my Munna has, She gave me a huge surprise. Also, What about your Elekid?" Ethan asked in pure bliss. We were walking towards the 'Nicols Hall' where the academy classes are held.

'Sucks to be me!!!!, if not for Golett playing till 2 AM, we too would have gotten up early' I thought sighing.

"I woke up late, so will be trying the moves in the evening. And what's up with Munna giving a surprise?" I ask back in curiosity.

"Hehe, she knows this super cool move called Healing Wish. It will be very useful as I become more and more powerful, it's literally like having one Pokemon more," he said astonishing me.

"That's super awesome, you can make multiple tactical plans around it. But I am not sure if Munna can use it more than once a day." I ask in doubt.

"Yeah, I need to try and see on that," he said contemplating.

As we started talking, I was also observing my surroundings along the way. It was a good sunny day with barely any clouds, the air was very fresh and the gardens around only amplified the beauty. Sometimes I feel blessed to breathe such fresh air, you never find such an environment on Earth. It just feels like the energy or air quality is very high grade.

After a five minute long walk, we finally reached Nicols Hall.

It was one heck of a sight, the theme was similar to the dorm but instead of Dragon pokemon, there were Emboar, Samurott and Serperior Statues.

Serperior was the middle one while the other two were on either side like its guards. I am not surprised as Samurott and Emboar are considered symbolistic to a Knight and Warrior while Serperior represented the Regal Queen.

We first-year students were asked to attend classes on the Second Floor which is connected to the Statue of Samurott.

We both walked in while admiring the 7 Floored Castle...

Inside the Class:

'Dont you think this is a bit too much?' I thought to myself.

There were a total of 3 columns in the class. Ethan and I were sitting in the Right column but what's frustrating is that the whole column is empty while the rest 33 members sat in the Middle and Left columns.

"Sorry Arthur, because of me you won't be making more friends," said Ethan in worry.

"Nah don't mind them. We can't educate the prejudiced ones with reasoning, just leave them as it is," I said while comforting Ethan and internally crying.

There goes my plan of building connections, this was like a pre-job search task for me but now it is failed before even I start the task. The only plus point is that I instead made the only heir of the Black city my friend.

'It's like having a tie-up to the CEO while having no clue about the employers,' I thought reassuring myself.

While I was thinking, an old lady walked in. She had medium-length grey hair and brown skin, her stature was quite tall for a woman and I could feel no aura from her. But I know for a fact that no professor here is the normal kind.

She put her books on the table and took a good look around the class, she stopped for a second when she saw Ethan and then averted her gaze.

"Starting the class with discrimination, are we? That's fine!!! eventual regret is common in every human's life, some regret after two years while others would never live to realize the chance," she said looking at every student of the class.

'Is she talking about how special Ethan is and how good it would make his friends?' I guessed thoughtfully.

"My name is Amelia Thompson and I will be lecturing you on Basics of Pokemon. The other two subjects on Pokemon Wild survival and Pokemon Combat will be taught by Miss Viola Thompson and Mister Arden Vickster respectively," she said glancing at the reactions of everyone.

There were some murmurs around the noble students with just the mention of the last two names. I immediately looked at Ethan for answers and found that he too was shocked, I nudged him gently for an explanation.

"They are the two King level trainers of this Academy and the whole Kingdom has 4 King level trainers. This means almost half the power is in this Academy. Of course, one amongst the four being my father," he whispered proudly.

'King Level??? That's equal to being an Elite four from the Games. Maybe that Golett's trainer is that Arden guy,' I thought in shock and expectation. That mysterious man had a crazy aura and almost found my ability, there is a good possibility of him being a King level.

Murmurs continued so Amelia had to stop them,

"Quiet down!!!! Let's start the introductions. First, we will start with the troublemaker....." she said looking at Ethan and me.

'Tf? who is she talking about? Ethan? No, I guess it's me?'

I did not know what to do but Ethan seemed to think he is the one and stood up unhurriedly.

"No, not you Ethan Frost, I am talking about the one beside you. Give me your Name and starter, the same goes for everyone," she said pointing at me and then gazing at everyone.

I stood up in understanding while Ethan looked at me for answers regarding the Trouble Maker part.

"My name is Arthur Jones, my starter is an Elekid," I said in a confident tone while ignoring the intense gazes from everyone.

"Good, next.."

"Ethan Frost, My starter is a Munna"

After 5 minutes all the introductions were over.

'Finally, all intros were done and now it was time for the class,' I thought.

"Great, the introductions were not for me, it was for you as I already know every one of you," she said and took a Chalk.

Let's start with the basics of the basics,

"There are 18 Pokemon types, namely: Fire, Water...Ground, ...Dragon and finally Fairy. Everyone here imagines or dream about dragons, most think Dragons are the most powerful but does anyone know the most accurate answer? " she said pausing to look at the crowd and then continued,

"Let me tell you, Although Dragons are powerful in their final forms, they are weak in their pre-evolutionary form. So tell me, what types are considered the best in Unovan Continent?" asked Miss Amelia.

Someone immediately raised their hands and said,

"It's Psychic and Ghost-type Pokemon"

"Incorrect, any guesses?"

No one raised but we all were expectantly looking for a correct answer. Miss Amelia averted her gaze from the other students and looked at me,

"Troublemaker, any guesses?" she asked.

'I have a name you know!!' I said internally but smiled outwardly.

"According to the majority, Psychic and Dragon types are the powerful ones but in this vast Unovan Continent, I would put my bet on Bug and Dark types," I said conveying my inner thoughts.

"Correct, not bad, you have some wisdom," she complimented me with both surprise and intrigue.

Everyone was shocked at the mention of Bug-type. Amelia soon answered ignoring their stunned expressions,

"Unova has a profound arsenal in the dark and bug Pokemon. In the wild, they are the most fatal ones with their insane ability to trap hunt. I need not explain about Dark Pokemon, but first, let's talk about Bug Pokemon. Every Bug Pokemon that's seen in this kingdom are racially supreme. Leavanny, Scolipede, Crustle, Escavalier, Galvantula, Accelgor, Durant, the Rare Volcarona and not to say the legendary Genesect," she said while making sure everyone's listening to her and then she started explaining more in detail.

If you are in any other region, Bug types are racially weak like all those butterfly Pokemon and Moth pokemon. But here in Unova, bug types almost rule, even in the games, not one bug pokemon has stats below 480. They grow fast and they are also very efficient in combat.

Almost all Defensive Knights in the Kingdom own an Escavalier while the assassins own Accelgor. Scolipede, Galvantula and Leavanny are the most feared in the wild as they trap humans for food. While Durant hunts in a pack, Crustle's defence and attack are almost strong as a Metagross.

Although Volcarona is very rare, they are as powerful as a pseudo legendary. Genesect is the only bug type legendary ever to exist so it is considered a God amongst them.

'No one in the right mind would fuck with any of them'

After 45 minutes of Pokemon typing talk, she started the topic I was most curious about,

"Next I will give some information on the most awaited topic- Abilities obtained through Contract,"

After hearing that I immediately perked up my ears with a quill and paper in hand.

"As many of you know every Pokemon gives a boost to certain aspects of the human body. What I will be talking about today is only about basic perks humans get but as we go into the end of the semester we will also talk about the extent of these abilities and the best combos or set of perks that can work synergically," she said wiping the board with a waste cloth.

"Okay so note them down as I write," she said and started writing,

Fire - Temperature Resistance

Water - Stamina

Grass - Self Healing (Not too OP)

Electric - Reaction Speed

Flying - Speed (Movement )

Fighting - Raw attack Power

Bug - Faster learning rate (Mild(like x1.2))

Poison - Poison immunity

Ground - Skin (Penetration defence)

Rock - Muscles (Compact and thicker)

Steel - Bones (Tough bones)

Psychic - Telekinesis (Not too OP)

Ghost - Invisibility (Not OP too, has rules)

Dark - Night vision(Depends on pokemon Lvl)

Ice - Charm (Popular with nobility)

Dragon - Lifespan boost

Fairy - Lifespan boost

Normal- Random ability from the other 17

The rarer the ability the lesser the probability to obtain from the normal type. The last 6 abilities from psychic to fairy are rarer while the probability of obtaining one of the other 11 is higher.

"Although some may seem overpowered, you should also know how rare some types are. But overall, what matters is not the boost from one type but the synergy between the 6 types of Pokemon you catch," she said like a wise lady to which everyone contemplated in thought.

"That's it for today's class, I will explain in detail in the coming classes. I know you have a lot to digest so think it through....." she said and bid goodbye to everyone.

Don't look down on Ice and Fire-type abilities. Everything has great use in Pokemon World.

Also, don't imagine some wild boost in powers, this is not superhero fanfic. At best they are two times the normal rate and at worst they are 1.2 times the normal rate depending on the Pokemon type. Also, those are applicable only if the talent of pokemon is high not like a Red grade weedle will give 1.2 times the learning ability.
