EPISODE 53: The History of the Madman!*

It was late in the evening, everyone was asleep and the silence reigned supreme overall. I was in my room, sleeping calmly like always and letting my dreams circle around my head like a carousel. Charlotte and the twins were also asleep, and let us include Oliver too, who was also having his slumber. Our success so far had given us a relaxing slumber with the absence of stress.

Though we may be asleep, the other three are awake. Zeal, Copper, and Vizion, little did the rest of us know they had their own plans in the middle of the night. After hearing about my incident in a secret Galactic base somewhere in Snowpoint City, the three of them were determined to infiltrate and find more details about Team Galactic without our help. Therefore, at around one in the morning, they got up from their beds and met each other outside headquarters.

They tip-toed out of here in order not to break the roaming silence and waking the rest of us up. Their feet made the most delicate sound as possible as if they were floating in mid-air.

"Let's take a quick glimpse and return immediately," Vizion whispered to Copper and Zeal. Both nodded their heads and agreed to the decision and now they faced the trials the twins faced to reach the manhole. Through the harsh winds, the tough snow, and the buzzing whispers of the air, all three of them were able to surpass the dangers of the "gate" to the eastern reaches.

They found the manhole, still wide open, and with their flashlights, they took a glimpse of what lied below. They heard horrific sounds of water droplets echoing around. They can hear the slithering sounds of Pokemon that dwell from within. With their brave hearts, one by one they climbed down the ladder and entered the sewers.

"This place stinks, should've brought my mask." Zeal coughed, her cough echoed throughout even if her mouth and nose was sealed by her hand.

"It's the sewers, what do you expect?" Copper gave a little giggle.

The three of them walked towards an open and somewhat busted door. Could this mean no one has visited the place after the infiltration of the twins? Everything was so quiet and inside the secret base was nothing but a mess. Scattered chemicals, shattered glass, sirens blinking here and there. It was as if the three were visiting a laboratory bombarded by a horde of zombies. The absence of a single sound is what made their blood flow with suspense and horror.

For a little while, they looked around, observing the items on the shelves which were nothing but bottles filled with pirate ship replicas. There were also some guns on the floor, a bit of blood, primarily in the place where me and Venus fought.

The bodies of the grunts who were defeated were all gone for some reason, and if I was with them, I'd be running out and head back to headquarters knowing the bodies were gone all of a sudden unless the Pokemon International Police had claimed them already.

On one of the halls, they found something in particular. It was a folder filled with a three paged document. The three agents were eager to know what kind of information lies within those three pages; hence they made the decision to read it. The document states everything about the madman who wanted to restart the whole universe. Cyrus, a folder about Cyrus and his past? Now that was interesting for the three of them.

According to the document, born and raised in Sunyshore City, he was known to be a good, albeit asocial, student, and so preferred the company of machines over humans and Pokémon. Despite being such a good student, however, he did not live up to his parents' expectations, and so felt rejected.

Sometime after this, he decided emotions were the source of all strife in the world, and that only the elimination of emotions, along with spirit, could be the end of fighting in the world, which lead to the birth of his ultimate dream. With all the gems found in the bodies of the Lake Guardian, the red chain would form and will be used to control the minds of Dialga and Palkia for the sake of his belief.

According to the document, Cyrus has a family, a grandfather who lives in Sunnyshore City but when they tried to interview him, he'd rather not speak but keep his mouth shut instead. From a student to a madman, they know understand the truth behind Cyrus's desires. They were willing to go back with the documents with them but then, something from behind sounded. It was a clap, a clap that repeated itself numerous times in a slow manner as someone behind walked closer.

They flinched and they couldn't move. Their bones were stiff for they thought they were alone all along. They can sense someone grinning at them, little do they know, the businessman was there all along. Cyrus the intelligent, what does he plan to do with the three of them now that he had caught them sneaking?
