New rival

After getting the pokeball from Keith went out to meet his friends. Seeing they each had a pokemon next to their side he called out to them.

"Hey guys what pokemon did you each choose"

Allen:I chose the electric type pokemon elekid.

Keith looking over in Allen direction saw a pokemon that was mainly yellow with black stripes across its body. It's forearms are large with three small claw at the end and it's legs are short and stubby.

Elekid most notable feature is the horns on it heads which appear as prongs. Through these prongs they are able to generate electricity.

"Hmmm that's a pretty strong pokemon Allen."

Allen:Yep me and elekid will be the best. Let's have a battle Allen!

"Not right now we have to go down to the pokemon center and register our pokemon"

Making a pouting face Allen said to Keith

Allen:Fine but once we register I want my fight

Getting annoyed about being ignored diamond made her self known hitting both Allen and Keith on the head.

Diamond:Guys your forgetting about me. I got the ice pokemon snover.

Looking over at diamond they saw a pokemon with a white upper body and brown lower body that resembles a snow-coned tree. It had green eyes and three points in top of its head wherever snover goes the temperature drops a few levels.

Both Keith and Allen rubbing the growing knot on their head apologized to diamond.

Allen:I'm sorry diamond your snover is very cool and amazing.

"I'm also sorry yo snover is awesome."

After apologizing the group made its way to the pokemon center to register. After about an hour and a lot of document signing the group made their way to the pokemon center battlefield to have a battle.

Allen:You never showed us your pokemon Keith. It doesn't matter anyway my elekid will never lose!

"Don't be so sure of yourself riolu come on out."

Throwing out a pokeball the aura jackal appeared in front of Allen. Giving a strong fighting intent. Allen and diamond both looked at Keith in suprise as they saw his pokemon showing a little envy

Allen: How did you manage to get a riolu. There super rare pokemon.

Diamond:Wow Keith you sure a lucky.

Allen:It doesn't matter my elekid will still will. Elekid come on out.

Watching Allen throw elekid out the battle officially started.

Allen:Let's start things off use shock.

A thin yellow bolt of lightning generated from elekid as it was sent towards riolu.

"Riolu dodge and use quick attack."

Riolu jumped to side barely dodging the lightning. Then a white light enveloped riolu as he rushed forward and closed in on elekid in a second striking elekid.

Elekid was pushed back a few feat due to the damage but still holding on strong.

Allen:I missed but it won't happen a second time elekid use shockwave followed up with swift.

Before riolu could react a electrical discharge was released as it paralyzed riolu leaving it unable to move. Then starts rose up as they rushed towards riolu dealing damage.

Seeing riolu damaged Keith looked on in worry.

"Riolu stay strong rush forward with quick attack and use force palm!"

A white light once again enveloped riolu as he rushed forward and before elekid had the chance to react was struck by a palm.

The result of the attack was elekid laying on the ground struggling to get up.

Seeing this was his chance Keith called out his next attack.

"Follow up with another force palm riolu."

Riolu rushed forward once again as it struck elekid effectively knocking elekid out.

Watching riolu win Keith felt a sense of pride in his eyes. Walking forward he congratulated riolu on the well deserved win.

Allen:That was a great battle Keith but next time me and elekid will surely come out on top.

Walking back into the pokemon center the group healed their pokemon and made their seperate ways back home.

Arriving home Keith went to his parents to show them the great news of him qualifying for a top rank pokemon.

"Dad mom I received a top rank pass and got riolu!"

Keith's parents showed a surprised face and was surprised that their son received such a rare pokemon. It's not everyday that you see someone with a riolu.

Dad:That's great son I'm sure that you and riolu will achieve many great things on your journey

Mom:I may be worried about the path that you chose but I still support you son. Riolu I also need you to protect my son now.

Riolu gave Keith's mom a nod in response.

Mom:That's great riolu I'm counting on you.

Seeing that it was getting late Keith decided to call it a night.

"Alright mom and dad I'll be going to bed now I have to get up early tomorrow for orientation."

Walking to his room Keith decided to start leaving riolu outside of the pokeball to build up trust and to gain a better relationship with riolu.

Lying in the bed Keith went to sleep and prepared for the events that would come tomorrow.
