Ethan Yip was the sergeant detective of the Homicide Unit with the Hong Kong Police Department. Gillian convinced herself that Ethan was still in love with Anita after all these years. Finally, she made a decision to move on and told Ethan that they would remain friends forever. She decided heading oversea was the best course of action to take.
