Chapter 50: Power

After finding the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, Noah decided not to store it away. The fruit was far too valuable to be hidden.

Noah called on Ari to bring Joshua to Sky Island.

Soon enough, Ari appeared at the Birka temple, with Joshua stepping through the portal.

"Brother, what's up?" Joshua asked.

"I've got something good for you," Noah said with a smile as he handed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit to him. "This is the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. Go ahead, eat it!"

"This is the Rumble-Rumble Fruit?!" Joshua's face lit up with excitement as he stared at the golden fruit inside the box.

Among the core family members, aside from Vic who was solely focused on martial arts, everyone else had already consumed a Devil Fruit. Without hesitation, Joshua grabbed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.

"Thank you, brother!" he said gratefully.

Without further delay, Joshua took a big bite of the fruit. Instantly, his face twisted in agony, as if his soul was being torn from his body. But despite the overwhelming nausea, he forced himself to finish the fruit, bite by bite.

Noah, having anticipated this reaction, pulled out a large bottle of Joshua's favorite watermelon juice from his cards. "Here, drink this to help it go down."

"Thanks, brother," Joshua replied, taking the bottle and chugging the juice in massive gulps. After downing several liters of the drink, he let out a long breath. "Phew… I'm alive again!"

"Try using your new power," Noah urged.

"Okay." Joshua closed his eyes to focus. Soon, sparks of electricity began dancing across his skin, intensifying as his palm transformed into a violet-blue electric glow.

Zzzzt… zzzzt…

The air inside the temple buzzed with the sound of thousands of birds chirping in unison. At that moment, the power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit revealed itself, and after three centuries, its thunderous lightning was ready to echo across the world once more.

Noah pulled out a pile of iron sand from his cards.

Joshua had already studied Noah's development ideas for various Devil Fruits. These ideas, along with the comprehensive Devil Fruit guide Noah had compiled, were organized into a book titled The Book of Devils.

With Joshua's strength already approaching that of a Rear Admiral, gaining the Rumble-Rumble Fruit caused his power to surge instantly.

Electricity generates magnetism, and magnetism controls iron.

Within moments, several tons of iron sand in the temple were drawn toward Joshua by electromagnetic force, wrapping around him and forming a black cocoon.

"Lightning Metallurgy!" Electric currents transformed into intense heat, melting portions of the iron sand instantly.

The sheer range and power of abilities Joshua displayed were overwhelming. If he hadn't been intentionally controlling them, destroying Birka would have been effortless.

In a sense, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit was an upgraded version of the Magnet-Magnet Fruit, naturally countering it. The move High-Heat Demagnetization alone would leave the Magnet-Magnet Fruit utterly powerless.

Noah asked, "What's the maximum range of your Observation Haki now?"

Joshua focused for a moment, sensing his surroundings. "I can cover about 200 kilometers in all directions, and in one focused direction, up to 1,000 kilometers."

"Impressive, that's about the same level as me," Noah said, clearly pleased.

With Joshua now wielding the power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, combined with his previous skills, his strength had skyrocketed to rival that of the Marine HQ's elite vice admirals, and he was on the fast track to reaching admiral level.

At this point, the Noah family had grown tremendously strong. They had members with mysterious Paramecia fruits, three members with Logia fruits, and numerous skilled mid-level members. It wasn't far-fetched to believe that their combined strength could eventually rival the Marine Headquarters.

Lilian, with her Flame-Flame Fruit, could be compared to Sakazuki's Magma-Magma Fruit, but her potential was even greater.

Joshua's Rumble-Rumble Fruit could match Borsalino's Glint-Glint Fruit, though the Rumble-Rumble Fruit had slightly higher potential.

Monet's Snow-Snow Fruit could be compared to Kuzan's Ice-Ice Fruit, although its potential was notably lower. Fortunately, Noah could guide Monet scientifically to further develop her abilities.

While the Snow-Snow Fruit couldn't match the low temperatures of the Ice-Ice Fruit, it didn't mean the Snow-Snow Fruit couldn't be strengthened in other ways.

Conceptually, snow wasn't just a material—it was a state. Snow could be formed from water, but it could also come from other substances.

For example, oxygen snow, hydrogen snow, nitrogen snow, or carbon dioxide snow.

This was the true development path for the Snow-Snow Fruit.

Trying to compete in terms of low temperatures against the Ice-Ice Fruit would be a losing battle. But by taking a different route and exploring various types of snow, the Snow-Snow Fruit's power and potential could be significantly increased.

For instance, oxygen snow could allow Monet to instantly transform oxygen in an enclosed space into snowflakes, creating a localized oxygen shortage. This would devastate any opponent not equipped with a Logia power.

Additionally, oxygen snow could produce pure oxygen gas, which would be highly useful for healing or enhancing combustion.

Carbon dioxide snow could be used to artificially induce rain from clouds or poison enemies.

In summary, as long as your mind stays sharp, there are always more solutions than obstacles.

After testing his new abilities on Birka, Joshua returned to the Kingdom of Rum to secretly continue his training.

Meanwhile, Noah pulled Monet from the temporary headquarters in the Kingdom of Rum to replace Tommy as the acting governor of the Sky Governor's District in Paradise.

The Snow-Snow Fruit had a far more intimidating presence on Sky Island, making it a better deterrent.

Tommy's Art-Art Fruit, while not suited for direct combat, was highly effective in intelligence gathering. He was now serving as the Deputy Director of the Inspection Department, overseeing intelligence operations for the brewery. The Art-Art Fruit had valuable applications in that area.

At the same time, Noah used his Float-Float Fruit to relocate the inhabitants of Birka to Tianyedao, a small island near Angel Island.

As for Birka itself, Noah hadn't abandoned it completely. It was an essential node on the Western Sky Route, the only way to reach The Top of the West Sky from Angel Island. While it had no development potential, Birka could still serve as a useful observation post and outpost.

Noah instructed Monet to station a small Sky Knight squad (ten people) at Birka, to prevent other Sky Islanders from entering Angel Island directly.

The squad would rotate every month.

After returning to Lion Island, Noah began to plan the development of five other Sky Islands, while also intensifying the surveillance over Jaya Island. Monitoring the time when the Knock-Up Stream occurred every month was crucial to prevent unauthorized entry.

Setting up fixed outposts in the White Sea below was also necessary to ensure the area remained secure.

Noah assigned these tasks to Monet, Chief Karei, Gan Fall, and Chief Usua of the Winged Tribe.

Noah himself, along with Shiki, Ari, and Wepa, secretly headed to the Grand Line—Paradise's sea surface. Their first destination was the island below—Jaya.

Late at night, under the cover of darkness, Noah's group descended from the sky, landing near Mock Town on Jaya Island.

This marked the Noah family's official entry into the Grand Line.
