The Right Path (Last)

Hui Lan returned later that evening to her palace, but she could feel all her strength draining out from her body. She had not realised that she was so exhausted to the point where she fell into a deep slumber the moment her head hit the pillow.

However, her body started burning up and drops of sweat appeared on her face and neck. She hadn't fully recovered from giving her blood and the remaining poison in her system was acting up again because of it.

…Who knew when she would get better.

Su Rong, who was about to blow out the candles, caught Hui Lan shivering in the corner of her eyes. She quickly went over to Hui Lan and placed her hand on top of Hui Lan's forehead.

When her hand touched Hui Lan's forehead, Su Rong quickly drew it back because it was so hot that she had a shock.

Su Rong quickly gave instructions to the rest of the court ladies and everyone was busy in the middle of the night.
