"What's up? Why hasn't Vigne come yet?"
Upon arriving in class with Ren, Gabriel noticed that Vigne, who usually was in this class, was now absent.
As soon as she finished speaking, a notification sound came from her phone.
Vigne: [Sorry, I caught a cold, so I took the day off]
Vigne: [Don't worry, remember to attend class properly and don't keep playing games during lunch break]
Immediately after turning on her phone, Vigne's messages appeared.
"Incredible, Vigne caught a cold."
Putting away her phone, Gabriel sighed.
If she remembers correctly, Vigne must be a demon.
Gabriel asked Ren, "What if we visit Vigne this afternoon?"
She remembered when pretending to be sick, Vigne came to visit her, out of respect, she also wanted to return the favor.
"I don't mind." Raphiel said with a smile.
"Okay, I also happen to want to go to Vigne's house." Satania said.
"Who asked you?"
Gabriel complained because she directed this question to Ren.
"Also, why are you in our class? Aren't both of you in the next class?" She temporarily dismissed her complaining thoughts and realized this.
"Because Vigne also sent us a message."
With that, Raphiel took out her phone and waved it in front of her.
"But does her sending you a message have anything to do with your coming to our class?" Gabriel asked.
"Because we planned to invite both of you to visit Vigne together." Raphiel explained nonchalantly, "Didn't you just plan to visit her? Our idea coincidentally aligns with yours, so this afternoon we're going there together."
"Is that so? It's not impossible for me to go there with you, but..."
After saying this, Gabriel turned to look at Ren and asked softly, "Kamikawa, will you visit Vigne with us this afternoon?"
"Sure."
After thinking for a moment, Ren made a decision.
As Vigne's friend, since she's sick, he should pay her a visit.
"Don't you need to help them with afternoon lessons? Today isn't the weekend." Gabriel confirmed.
"It's okay. Just consider today a holiday for them."
Ren had thought about how to answer this question.
"That would be great."
Hearing this, Gabriel felt relieved.
After that, Ren informed Itsuki and the others that he would visit Vigne in the afternoon, and they all expressed their understanding. However, since many people had already left, they didn't suggest going together.
...
As time passed, it was time for school to end in the afternoon.
"Vigne is actually catching a cold. Her health is not that good."
On the way to Vigne's house, Satania teased Vigne.
"Satania, it seems like you're not catching a cold?"
Raphiel beside her seemed to be pondering something and asked her.
"Of course, I'm not that weak." Satania proudly said, "Not only the flu, but I've never suffered from any other illnesses."
"Yeah, besides, stupid people don't catch colds." After finishing her sentence, Gabriel immediately complained.
"Gabriel, what do you mean by this? Are you calling me stupid?"
Satania turned around and pointed at Gabriel, saying angrily.
"What do you think?" Gabriel yawned and replied casually.
After watching their little quarrel with great interest, Raphiel suddenly realized something was wrong with Ren's reaction.
"Kamikawa, what's wrong with you? Why don't you dare to look at Gabriel and the others?"
Usually, Ren would always watch Gabriel and Satania having fun, but now he looked around in an unusual way.
"Hm?"
After hearing Raphiel's words, Gabriel temporarily stopped her fight with Satania and quickly looked at Ren.
Compared to Satania, Ren was more important.
Realizing that Gabriel was no longer paying attention to her, Satania had no choice but to look at Ren.
"I'm not catching a cold either, but I'm not stupid." Feeling their eyes focused on him, Ren defended himself with a low voice.
Because he was an Esper, he had never been sick since childhood, and illnesses like the flu never occurred to him.
After hearing Gabriel's words, Ren felt a bit guilty and felt out of place with them.
"Is it just because of this?" Raphiel couldn't believe him.
"Um."
Ren nodded.
"This..."
Raphiel didn't know what to say for a moment.
Gabriel's words were clearly just a joke, but Ren took it seriously, making her a bit confused about whether she should call him stupid or not.
Call Ren stupid, but his usual behavior had nothing to do with the word stupid.
But assume he's not stupid. He couldn't even hear jokes. It's hard not to question his logic.
Suppressing her urge to complain, Gabriel came to his side and reassured, "Even if you don't catch the flu, you're not stupid. It's okay. The only stupid one is Satania."
"Um."
Ren didn't consider himself stupid and easily accepted this arrangement.
Anyway, he was a person with superpowers. Even if he wanted to get sick, he couldn't. Therefore, common sense that applied to humans could not be applied to him.
"Why am I the only one stupid? No, I'm not stupid." As soon as these words came out of her mouth, Satania realized something was wrong and quickly changed her words.
"Didn't you just admit that you're stupid?" Gabriel glanced at her, "You've admitted that you're stupid, so don't keep denying it."
"It's just a slip of the tongue." Satania said loudly.
"Hmph."
Gabriel snorted coldly and continued talking with Ren.
Satania stared at the two of them for a while, and suddenly realized something. She said very dissatisfiedly, "By the way, your attitude towards Kamikawa and me is inconsistent. Why do you treat him so nicely?"
Gabriel said with surprise, "Did you just notice it now?"
