Chapter 80

"You stole my tuner again, Mistah J!" Harley shouted, pointing her bat as Joker. "I was going to finally make a name for myself."

Joker burst out cackling before saying, "Oh, Puddin, as long as I am here, you will always be known as my sidekick, so you should come back to me," Joker said, lending his hand to her, "Come on, you will be my partner in crime, not just a sidekick. I have changed."

"Really?" Harley asked, instantly believing him.

"Come on Harley, he treats you like shit and you want to go back to him?" Ivy said, folding her arm. "Not to talk about him being an abusive fucker."

"But, he said he has changed..." Harley said, looking over to Ivy.

While all this was happening, Carnage was standing beside C-1, trying to start a conversation.

"Sooo... How have you been?" He asked, looking down at her.

"Good." C-1 answered as she kept using her phone.

"I see..." Carnage said, going back silent. "How was the invasion? Was it fun?"

"Uh-huh." C-1 gave a shot response, not looking up from her phone. "So where have you been?"

"I went to go and buy milk." Carnage jokingly said, "Turned out Mars didn't have milk."

"I see." C-1 mumbled, picking up a call and walking away.

"The fuck?" Carnage said, confused about why C-1 one is acting like that. "Forget it, all I have to do is take her back to the south pole and update her. Who cares how she acts." He said, looking over to Joker, Ivy, and Harley who were still arguing.

"Sorry Ivy, but Joker has changed," Harley said, grabbing onto Joker's hand.

"Yes, yes. I have changed." Joker said, the crazy smile not leavening his face.

"Oh my god Harley, what will it take for you to see it?" Ivy said, holding her head.

A shadow was suddenly cast over them and Batman jumped down from his flying Batmobile.

"Jokes on you, joker." Batman said, looking at them, his eyes stopping at Carnage who was still trying to strike up a conversation with C-1 after she got off the phone.

"Jesus, this guy." Joker let out, looking at Batman.

"Can you please wait, we are kinda in the middle of something." Ivy told Batman, before looking over to Harley and Joker.

"I am sorry, but I am afraid I have to..." Joker said, bringing out a controller from his suit pocket, "Take a dive." He said, pressing it, a small submarine coming out of the water.

"Uhh, don't you mean, we?" Harley asked, looking over to him.

"You know I would love to take you with me, but I will never deny you the pleasure of you buying me the time to escape." Joker said, jumping into the submarine and going underwater.

"Isn't he so cute when he is escaping?" Harley said, looking at Joker go further away.

"No." Ivy and Batman simultaneously said.

"Well, we got to go." C-1 said, putting her phone away. She grabbed Harley and threw her over her shoulder before grabbing Ivy by the waist.

"Wait, come back with me so I can continue my experiment." Carnage said, walking over to her.

Not responding, she bent down and took a big leap, shooting into the sky. Batman and Carnage watched them shoot toward the Harbor, Batman not even attempting to catch them, knowing he didn't come prepared to fight Carnage, C-1, or Ivy.

"Daughter problem?" Batman asked, looking over to Carnage.

"Yeah. I honestly don't understand why she is acting like this." Carnage said, shrugging.

"I mean, you went away for two months and in that month, she was caught by Superman, sent to a prison I created to hold you, meaning she couldn't escape, till she was finally freed during the invasion." Batman said, looking around at the dead rich people on the yacht. "Anyone will be angry at that."

"Who cares. I will just create a son. That one, I can understand." Carnage said, red lightning flashing around his body.

"Wait, Carnage." Batman said, as Carnage stopped and look over at him. "I am inviting you to dinner, would you come?"

Confused about what just came out of Batman's mouth, Carnage just said, "Ok." Zooming on the water, he rushed towards the harbor.

"They took care of these guys for me... But the killing I don't like." Batman said, looking at the bodies of the dead businessmen and women. They used illegal ways to gain their money, like human trafficking or drug trafficking, that's why he isn't so bothered by their death. "Hmm, I didn't tell Carnage when we should meet up.

Appearing on the harbor, with multiple cargoes just laying around, Carnage waited for Joker to come out of the water with his submarine before asking. The submarine was placed next to the yacht by him, as per Joker's request.

"Would you like to Join The Injustice League?" He asked, watching joker jump off the submarine.

"What's that? Some kind of evil organization that goes against the Justice League?" Joker asked, reaching into his pocket to reveal a bomb and throwing it into the submarine.

"That's the gist." Carnage said, nodding.

"I am in then, hahaha." Joker laughed maniacally before stopping and looking at Carnage, "But you will teach me how to make the crazy gas."

"Sure." Carnage agreed, shrugging. The crazy gas was as easy as killing humans so it wasn't a problem to teach to The Joker. "So, what about Harley? Aren't you going to invite her?"

"Oh, her. No. This is an organization for big evil bosses, not sidekicks." Joker said, fixing his bow tie.

"You were lying!" Harley shouted, coming out from behind a cargo and storming towards Joker.

"Oh, Puddin, you need to understand-" Joker tried to explain, going to reach for her shoulders.

"Understand my ass!" Harley said, putting the tip of her bat under Joker's jaw. "You know what? I don't need you. I will become the top dog of Gotham and Carnage will personally come to beg me to join the Injustice League as he did to you. And after I join, I will become the leader, and you will become my sidekick."

"Tell him Harls." Ivy said, standing behind Harley and folding her arm.

"Come on, you will be running back to me in no time." Joker muttered, before looking at Carnage. "Let's go to the Injustice League headquarter."

Taking a look at C-1 who didn't seem like she wants to follow, Carnage surged and flung Joker over his shoulder.

"Hay! Carry me like a King, not like a rag doll." Joker said, trying to wiggle himself off Carnage's grip.

'This is going to.be annoying. Now I have to create a C-2 even though I was going to do it anyway. Should I just drag her with me? Na. Next thing I know she becomes the next Felicia and betrayals me any chance she gets.' Carnage thought, ignoring Joker's demands and zooming away with Joker on his shoulders. 'Hmmm, should I just kill her?'
